I had a plan that at age twenty five i would end it all.

I had a plan that at age 25 i would take my life.

I had a plan that one day i wouldn't be here anymore.

I had a plan that one day i wouldn't exist.

I have a plan to live my life out.

I have a plan to love.

I have a plan to care.

I have a plan to dream.

I have a plan to soar.

One day i'll reach the end,
Right now is not the time.

blessed i am
to wake surrounded
by bird songs multifarious
each with their signature calls
saying ...

where’s my mate
we need to perpetuate

driven by nature’s code
keeping within my mode
where’s my mate
we need to perpetuate

alive and in my prime
now is our time
where’s my mate
we need to perpetuate

i’m looking to find
a lover of my kind
where’s my mate
we need to perpetuate

joyous chirping, tweeting, whistling
warbling, crowing and wooing
in a chorus of overtures
invitations to the nub of life,
procreation
waking up in the bush

To the one who's been blessed,
All but a table for two.
These four words,
Happy Birthday To You!

Took a little jab at myself, ha! Mamba day for me.

I am truly blessed at fifty I still have my parents,
I am blessed they stay with me,
I get their blessings  everyday.
I am blessed I have time to see to my parents' welfare,
To take them to the doctor myself,
As they took me when I was a child,
Take them for a picnic or long drive,
Then to the icecream parlour for their favourite  milkshake,
The same one where they used to take me.
I am  blessed  I get a chance to talk to them everyday,
And when I look in their eyes I see the purest love.
My parents are my responsibility not my wife's,
I never blame her if she is unable to help out.
I have understood my parents do not need material things,
They need me to hold their hands and show I care,
I am glad my children are learning true values.
When the time comes and I see the empty chair I know I was a good son,
And blessed by my Lord.
Amen

Thank you lord for the gift of life
How could we ever pay you for that and
All the good things you have done for us
None of us will be alive if not for your
kindness, grace, love, faithfulness and protection,
So we gather here today to celebrate thanksgiving and to
Give glory to your holy name by giving praise to you -for
In this harsh and cruel world we live in you have blessed
Everyone of us and like the proverbial tree, we are
Indeed flourishing and thriving and also multiplying in
Number so for this and many more we are saying "thank you."
Gracious Lord accept our thanksgiving like you did Abel's.

i felt miserable,
solemn to the fact,
that giving up
was my harsh reality.

i had dealt with pain before,
but nothing like
the anguish i juggled
in my own hands,
every single dying day,
keeping me up at night.

there’s something about,
sitting all alone
listening to the crickets,
while fueling my addiction,
one cigarette after another.
always finding comfort
in all the worst ways.

Back in eighth grade,
I littered my arms with scars,
told myself no more drugs,
But took them that very night.
always anxious for a way out of my own anxiety,
social and situational always got the best of me.

Took the oath of staying sober,
and picking myself up,
from the debt my heart held that night,
i swore it would stop.

but just like me,
it pushed through,
even when the smoke
filled it’s cavities,
and even when my own head,
lied to me,
over and over again.

My parents always said:

“listen to your heart, and not your head”.

Oh my love, you are so youthful,
And you are so beautiful.

Oh my love, you are so exotic,
And you are so energetic.

Oh my love, you are so pretty,
And you are such a cutie.

Marrying you will do good,
Let me be finally blessed.
