the spirit of morning becomes I
awakening and filling in the very deep soul within
with laughter and light
with jollity hugs tears
with passion and kisses
I am the awakening
I am the glad surprise
a tiny creature
powerless and yet still arise before flashing rays
learning to rejoice with all
in the universe
with all tribes of sea, land, and air
awakening at the very first moment
when the moonlight kisses the light
dancing
with laughter
jollity and blushing
sparkling the delight
with love and cherish

then I again realize
~ the spirit of morning becomes I

I see
and I love,
yet the two dance so tightly
that there is only one.

The bird by the river
Does not ask ‘why was I born?’
The bird by the river
She sings HER song.

The tree by the river
Asks not ‘what shall I do?’
The tree by the river
She blossoms and blooms.

The stones by the river
Ask not ‘wherefore or why?’
The stones by the river
Sit still and sigh.

The river
She sighs,
She dances,
She sings.
The river lets
Each moment
Give her wings.
a brief moment of clarity
a moment of grace is all it takes
to truly surrender

the hard part is to keep surrendering
a day at a time, but not as hard as
living in the hell of my disease

grateful to be free just for today
and to be trudging
on this "road of happy destiny"

The Shot
The Gun
The Bullet
The Fear

Everything is trembling
The Death is near

The awakening
The shock
The confusion
The dread

The sun shines bright
Are you really dead?

Then the conclusion
Then understanding
Then fear is gone
Then this mad grin

The world wakes up
It was just a Dream
Arise, tight sleeper!
Do not allow the poetry of Spring
to pass by unnoticed

Soak in the brightness of the morning
Steep in its fresh awakening
Emerge from your slumber
to stretch and invigorate your stiff limbs
For they are yearning for the flow that brings them to life

Uncoil the twisted and compacted fibres that wish to dance
Unlock the gate that keeps your voice from shouting out the glory of damp mosses
of dew-kissed flowers
For the Spring
For the morning,
For the light.

Sing out the joy
That enters your heart
as do the tight points of purple crocuses
that ease their way into the cool morning light

Arise, tight sleeper!
Do not allow the poetry of Spring to pass by unnoticed.

“Fear not,” the winds whispered through the pines
Tenderly stroking my hair as I wandered through the forest.
“Don’t shed a tear,” the rustling poplars sang
Stirring my soul as I wept.

Leaves waltzing, gyrating, floating,
Doing whatever they may please
Soft sunlight filtered through the canopy, putting me at ease.

Cold air filled my lungs, clearing my mind
Sweet therapy at last, finally free.
Free to wander the wilderness, uninterrupted and jovial.
My whole life set before me.

Let me take your soft and loving hands
And remove the layers of mistrust
I free my skin, my soul of its garments
Softly unbutton my silken gowns of regret
Remove the veil of heartache from my face
Consume my tears of tired years
Let me seize the jewels of deception
from your arms and neck
And free you of the misgivings
Of the fabric of your chemise
Let me kiss your naked shoulders
with new found faith
In ******* expectation,
I stand liberated
from doubt and the threat of neglect
I let slide from your hips
the thongs of this world's hatred
Undress me too that
I am stripped bare of the world's evil
Naked like the day of our birth
we emerge beautiful and untouched
In tune with our bodies and the universe
