A crooked frame of a picture perfect family
Hangs in the hallway
With the eyes cut out
To imitate the blindness of suburbia
The family dog remains in the frame
To tell the tales of an animal
Caged in a four sided box
And the frame itself is a darkened oak
With each side representing a member
To show the strength of family
And the dark times that cover them all.

Show me that you're an animal
Make me cry
Your eyes glow in the night
You run through the jungle with your pride on your sleeve.
Isn't life too sweet?
Their king has risen and there's a lump in my throat.
Will you cry when I read out the poems I have written?
You're manuscripts waiting to be deciphered,
lanterns waiting to be lit,
a storm ready to start,
With you, I am the happiest I have ever been.
You're an animal ready to ****.

Can not stop thinking of that one night
The night that I could not control my lust.
Destroyed you like there was no tomorrow
Because I am a lustful demon
I always have thoughts as an animal.
I was born for this.
To dream of making you, fly high
To block your thoughts,
and bring out the animal in you
I will never stop, until my last lustful thought,

Agnes is an Applehead Chihuahua, that's her breed.
She is my canine who I show affection to and feed.
I recently learned that she's four years old, I thought she was a little older.
From time to time Agnes becomes hateful and I have to scold her.
But she's a beautiful dog who I think the world of.
For the rest of her life, she's an animal who I'll love.

Cat
You gave me a bandage
A horrific bright pink,
For you noticed a stripe
Of red bleeding through
My long sleeved shirt.

I laughed it off and rolled my eyes
"My demon cat struck again"
And you laughed with me,
But you wont ever know
I never had a cat.

I go where ever the wind blows, I keep running to where no one knows.

Everything is in chaos when I become part of the world, I have to find a way out because my logic is always being burned and curled,

sometimes when my head feels unwound I shred my skin then my mind feels unbound.
No one really stays around for long so Im trying to get used to life without sound until the day I'm gone.

There is no beast inside my cage only an animal incarcerated in rage,
like a demon from an endless age,
I learned to conjure myself from every dark place I know, like a story with an endless page. I live my life for myself and accept every experience until the end of my days.
Thanks to Kaitlin Floyd for helping refine the way I position my final draft.
The heart knows, what the heart wants.
Well what if we don't communicate?
I cannot understand my heart;
It growls like an animal,
Locked in a cage of ribs.

There has always been
This part of me that is all
Passion and wild and will
Not be tamed. We refuse
To be caged. We refuse
To be beta, we will so be
Persuaded by only mother
Nature. Just her and I, this
Fierce will of messy curls
And witch eyes.

dear fast food companies,
there is no way to forgive
how you hold animals so captive
dollar signs in your eyes
no remorse for animal cries
and the way you changed us too
because when we eat your food
we know what's inside
we know what's on our plate used to have two eyes
we turn our head
they can be dead
there's no fuss
after all, they're not us
but that's where you're not right
when we were kids, we would put up a fight
if we heard that farm animals were eating drugs and couldn't have fresh air
we used to care
but then we were dehumanized
we'd prefer to hear the lies
we even give a cheer
when we hear
two animal lives for a dollar seventy five
it's sad there's no way to stop it
3,712,415 people won't quit
their nice quiet jobs
just because some tree hugging slobs
remind you animals are dying

dear fast food companies,
don't take my money, i want change
