Solicited smiles
Send shivers.
Somewhat surprising!
Shouldn't snakes
Send slithers?

Fancy, a flighty folly,
I’ve found fairly hard to find.
As soon as she stops searching
so suddenly it slips into sight.

Love’s lack leaves life lackluster,
but lust can lead life lessons
Wayward ones will waste them.
While worrywarts wail un-waning.

Carefully caressing your cheek
Fretting fiercely over fig cake
Greeting gracefully
Gorging gloriously

Happily humming hyms heroically
While finishing fig cake ferociously

Starting in p ending in y

Plainly pointing the position
The poppies placed with percision

Deliciously devilishly delightful
Boy! Fig cake filled me up...

Sitting, satiating sizable crumbs
Placed on the poppy plate

Suddenly the slightest smell sinks my sore eyes
I decided to rise to go to bed

Ahhhhhh....
Eating and sleeping. My lovely paradise

i've been living on the fly for a while
a dive from the sky for a sight of the vile
i tried to find out why they can cry with a smile
but they decide to lie and die in denial

they divide the ties and put eyes on trial
hiding behind a blinding pride with guile
buying is their guide to arriving in style
vying for the high life with titles they compile

and i have no way to get home

looks like i'm stuck in the muck and the muddle
out of luck where i was put just to hush in the struggle
cuffed to this crust is just enough to bust my bubble
another **** to fuss and cuss in the dust and rubble

The desert heat can be oppressive
Pressing down
From sky to ground
Can you hear that sound?
There's a sizzling in the sand
Slithering like a sidewinder
Wandering wistfully westward
A silent snake
The day breaks
And becomes hotter still
Skyrocketing
Along with your bills ;)
To all my desert dwellers
This one's for you
I hope you beat the heat
As I hope I'm going to

Brevity poetry
Without rhyme or reason
Would read better
With alliterations like...
Wonderfully woven words;
Metaphors like...
Sunrise kisses rosebuds to blossom;
Maybe similes like...
As busy as a bee.

Prompts:  Write your best free-verse brevity in 30 words or less inspired by the word "rhyme".

Word Count:  30 Words "orange"

I have forgotten forgiveness.
Releasing regrets, relented rashness.
so don't bother
empty excuses. expect exemption?
its
All aimless air anyway.

Sudden suffocation and relapsed restrictions, we colored ourselves in silver sets and party dresses.

Half hearted laughter amid animosity hidden by sly smiles and fragile friendships. Our wicked world was perfectly painted in shades of doubt.

techno touch of tripping eyes,
flooded lungs filled flightless
feelings of birds above
and the bickering birds below.
Brushing bitterly breathing
heavily, heavenly hearts
and sighing in silky silhouettes.
Flowers folding fiddles,
defying gravity in great,
gruesome, detail. Eyes electric,
daffodils digging deep down.
