Be nice to the people who have access to your toothbrush

‘I just feel like my life is a crumbling lie and I can’t keep lying to people anymore it’s like my whole thought process is unraveling and I feel people are starting to stare through the cracks and I can feel their glare on my organs and I desperately try to seal them out but they keep prying at me with their sticky horrible words and buttered judgement and I just want to run and vanish and loose everything on my terms, you know?’

‘IDK do some yoga or something.’

You're hardly seen at home at all these days
and I wonder when you will change your ways.
But I do hope that everything's alright
and the future for you also looks bright.

Many people have gone on the wrong path
seeking their own gain but acquiring wrath.
When they do not consider the welfare
or happiness of someone else do care.

If you've fallen into that state somehow
please listen to the words of wisdom now
to discern their knowledge and to receive
some advice for your soul as you believe.

When you put other people's welfare first
and for their happiness you also thirst
doing those things for their satisfaction
you'll reap a good harvest of attraction.

This must be done in line with what is good
and if viewed from a point of wisdom would
not detract away from that high ideal
which is the basis of our human weal.

Written late in 2019.  Inspired by one of the neighbors who used to live across the road whom I've known for many years.

I have all the time
Given to me freely with my first breath
Yet my body ages each day
I walk blindly towards the end
Will you show me the way
Step through heartbreak and all this grief
Jump over hatred, jealousy and hopeless days
Look forward
Fall in love, have all the firsts
Fall again, feel this joy and satisfaction
Creeping at every happy corner
Yet don’t stop, but walk
As the road is all you have

fate crossed our paths and intertwined our hearts
we were once the remedy to each other's souls
until we became each other's poison and ceased to grow
out of love becomes for one adoration
but for the other it becomes exasperation
never enough is my unrequited love
oh - immaculate being from above
when I look at me I despise my own reflection
how then could I ever really perceive your true perfection?
The biggest mistake we make when it comes to love, is making someone else the source of your happiness, an addiction that ends up fatal

Two containers:
One empty, the other full
Will both make noise
When dropped

Similarly with people
Everyone has an opinion
But you must know
Which one is worth listening to

Be intentional in all things.

The moment you succumb to thoughtlessness
Is the moment you embrace your doom.

nobody prepares you
for the day
you lose
your self-worth,

nobody tells you,
"just because you can
do something, doesnt mean you should"

Take a page from my book.
Don't live to please those who would write you off
For choosing your own narrative.
Why let others write our stories.
Sitting idly by, as they use up the pages.

They forced the pen from your hand.
Take it back.
You know the words better than anyone.
But don't cover up their mistakes.
Tear-filled chronicles, a testament to growth.

When did you last write your own chapter.
You were excited to sign your name, you're the author.
Take up the sheets of paper.
Fill in the blanks.
Leave your mark.

When you read cover to cover,
Were you dynamic?
Did you go off script?
Underlined lessons?
Highlighted cautions?

When you've reached the resolution,
Will you be happy with your account?
Or do you have more to write.
If you have another story to share,
Take a page from my book.
I've read 1,000 tales.

A great sage once said,
'A journey of a thousand miles
begins beneath one's feet.'
I say,
'A journey of one foot
begin with one's intention.'
