Paper boats and twisted rivers,
Dead fishes, floating on water.

Blue ink in the babbling azure,
Their names in cursive, faded-
*Adam and Eve

Your sons are suffering now
for what you did then
didn't have to pretend
that you had it all figured out
or that you figured how
to love the gift he gave
They are punishing us
Do you remember being forgiven
for taken for granted all you were given
that grudge you hold hangs low
over our souls
hard to be whole
when one half
struggles, striving to achieve what you never had
open your fists and hold you sons
reveal your empty hands
tell stories, honest ones
you didn't know
and your life formed from breath he spoke
you didn't realize
and you were the first lives
help our hearts carry the burden
loving away from God has us hurting
one another, one after the other
Adam
what did you say to Eve?
is the fact of who's fault it was what you truly believe?
did you have to labor for her love?
was it simple
was it verbal
was it instrumental
was it poetry
I know it was biblical
religiously you lead
the race in who we strive to be
seen
as
impossible
Adam if nothing else
See the light in your sons lives
See you
& be brave enough this time
to at least save yourself

There was your before anything else
and then there was God. Then heaven,
the universe, and too from Him
came the sun, the moon, the planets,
the earth; the dusk, the dawn,
Adam and Eve, a succession of prophets,
and then finally me.

God created Adam and Eve
Not Adam and Steve.

But God also created ******,
So why should I believe?

The church field trip led to the most beautiful presence,
The elegance protrude by the sweet scent.

I dared not moved so hastily,
I dared not the red!

Glanced by the peripheral eye lids,
The red beckoned the thumping beats within my chest!

A visual decor permeates from the illuminating of the perfect circle,
And my inner most demon want to ravage it!

I wanted to devour every essense of the crescent,
Becoming one with red.

I slightly move forward so no eyes may pry onto my movement,
Like an orchestra moved to one trumpet to a violin scurry along.

Finally came side by side of the precious glimmer of the curves,
And moved my hand to palm the red's grace on the tilt of it's end.

I open wide to cusp my mouth to bite deep into it's brilliance,
In my teeth feeling the liquid and crunchy of it's body!

Sour taste of salt expand a vigor of darkness cover my mouth,
I look at the apple's plate beneath me read " Ida Red!"

Water upon my eyes,
No longer can chew any further,
I simply shallowed the chunk in my throat!

"Your elegance beckon me red, but in the end, you have seduced me to bitterness!"

I dared, Idared, ida red!
Just remembering my youth church field trip to apple orchard, and learning that not all beautiful looking apples are not all that beautiful inside!  Never judge by what I see, and the experience that will never elude me!

Eve
I am a rib
pulled out from your cage.
I am the apple
pressed against your lips.
I am the warmth
within your breath.
The sweet nectar
on your fingertips.
Your heart was made
but your soul was mystic.
The otherworldly flow
of spirit
within boundless space.
A warrior of flesh and blood
inside a
mirror-image
of my face.
"bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;"
What is this you have done?
You,
my demise but still
I become the mother
of all the living.
For the dust I am,
I will return.
Adam, your eyes are darker today
sky before thunder
your smile hidden in clouds of thought
is it my lips? /or perhaps my thighs?/ or my *******
is it the way I play with the other animals
when you lie on the blades
of grass suffering
between a rock and my curious nature

[blink, blink]

Adam, dreams and dreamers
can only meet under the same tree
every day, this is the only thing we own
the only thing we know.
Adam?....Adam!!

[pout]

'DON'T TOUCH THE DISPLAY' my foot!

[crunch]
...oldest story in the book. Dedicated to my Adam.
It’s an
odd comfort
that it is
always raining somewhere
Old watering cans
collecting water
Tawny pines
lofty, sighing in the mist.

When my bones
are laid out
like a picket fence
in a wooden coat
they will drink
with the roots
and stone
and earth.

And when I am but
dust or atoms it will still rain
maybe I will be bricks
in a building
or some tarmac slab
something functional
or a peony flower
or even forget-me-nots
it will still rain
and I will be gone.
Thanks to everyone who has commented on the poems I've posted today. you have given me some faith back in my own writing, you don't know how important that is to me, truly.
Crude
We pushed
each other
against saintly walls
lips sinking under
leaving bite marks
like cherry blossoms
on magnolia skin.

Hands through hair
Heavy air
Heavier breathing
Ribcage to ribcage
grazing flesh
on limestone
obscured by altars
behind cloister doors
Our bodies are cathedrals
built of blood.

We fall further
into one another
On hallowed stone.
hate the sin…?
Love the sin
Love the sinner
Be the sinner
Be the sin.
We planted tulips in each other,
in the night.
While the rain played in street light
We intertwined,
As old roots or Ivy.

We left marks in each other;
Like pressed limestone,
Like Rock built into churches,
Like wave weathered slate.

I move the hair from your
Noctilucent eyes.
And we arch together
Like ash or poplar.
Your lips are warm;
A sirocco in the chine of winter.

Love,
It is this.
No greater no lesser
And though the deeps of oceans
May stand between;
The between of us is neither wide, nor far
I carry you with me
For my home is built of
What we are.
