Diana: The Hunted (A Song)
TigerEyes Oct 2015
Diana’s been running through dark forests from a man
n’ for years he’s been hunting her
hunting her like a lion because he can
Yeah, he told her I can’t help it
I’m a man, man- man
Diana, he’d say
You —
No, you just don’t understand
this is just the way I am
he’d say he was really sorry/n’ then he’d buy her cards n’ flowers
a week or month would go on by
Diana, never knew when or, why
he would hurt her until she cried
Yeah — he was Dr. Jekyl/he was Dr. Hyde
Yeah — n’ Diana never knew when or, why

Until, it happened, again
n’ again
Diana, he’d say
You —
No, you just don’t understand
this is just the way I am
I’m a man, man, man-
n’ for way too long he tried to buy her silence from his hands
Until one day Diana made a plan
n’ she went n' left that nasty man

Diana’s still hunted to this day
n’ she’s always moving
Yeah, she never stays
he’ll never find her
No, cause she’s gone away
Yeah, she's gone, gone, faraway --

A Letter Not Read
TigerEyes Sep 2015
The letter from her mother from another time
reminded her of a loss that she could never find
its ink began fading line by line
her soul left crumpled, and feeling dead
for all the kind words that were never said
a lack of comfort that was never given…
or, ever read --
her only daughter banished away
from her mother to this day
and, so the letter not read collects its dust
because of all the years of broken trust.

A Moment of Silence
TigerEyes Sep 2015
A moment of silence for the castaway
for the sibling, and daughter they threw away
because there's always one black sheep
the one a family will not keep
pushed aside when they speak their truth
and, it all began in their youth
The Queen bee dismissed the one
causing the castaway to come undone...
without some ground to stand upon
or, kind support from anyone --
when trials came she stood alone
she couldn't even pick up the phone
the castaway cry's at night
tears of sadness
tears of fright
into the darkness she must go
because she's tired, and all alone.

Ken & Barbie
TigerEyes Sep 2015
Ken and Barbie drive around
in their matchbox cars in my small town
its bright yellow with a stripe you'll see
how hard they try, and wanna be
admired by everyone /including me
stepford wives, and soccer moms
stepford husbands mowing lawns
with perfect twins that keep them in
competition to hide their sins
their tongues spew knives from their lips
about a neighbor that's not so hip...
they're so busy judging everyone
they don't notice flowers in the sun
words, or art -- or people like me
that don't fit in the picture they see
I stand alone in my small town
while Ken, and Barbie drive around.

The Scent of Fall
TigerEyes Sep 2015
Golden red-orange maple leaves now decorate my lawn...
and, I can always tell when the sun will rise the minute it is dawn
The rooster calls out its name from its big red barn out back
waking all the ducks and geese to run in circles making noisy quacks.

There's a creek that runs by my house, and the frogs come out at night
while the birds on top of my red barn like to take off for a flight
There will be apple pie with cinnamon baking in the stove
and, the scent of walnuts wafting through the air with a tiny bit of clove
The moon will grow bigger as the months begin to pass...
and, the children will all start complaining that their summer went too fast.

Ghost House
TigerEyes Sep 2015
She floats just above the ground
whenever visitors decide to come around
from room to room she roams
when she's feeling all alone
and, she longs for the laughter that once was --
that echoed up and down her halls
her children are all gone with time and, distance
its made her spirit ache it's been so long
there's the sound of a ticking clock
(tick, tick, tock)
reminding her of a half knitted infants sock
where she remembers leaving it before she left
Oh, and she'd cry if she had any tears
but all she has is her ghost house year after year...
where she roams from room to room
(waiting, always waiting)
waiting for her children to come home soon.

Hope Loves
TigerEyes Sep 2015
Hope loves to bring joy where there is darkness
in the midst of a stormy sea
when you need a friend in me
loyal, and true
there is no one else but you
I'll be there to hold your heart
I'll be there to hold your hand
until you see I understand
your pain, your fear...
and, everything you hold dear
I'll be there to wipe your tears
When you're sad
when you're blue
I'm on your side...
I'm with you.

Secrets & Lies
TigerEyes Sep 2015
You are born into this world
you had no choice
later you find you have no voice
Your mother has you down as a bad seed
she wants to tug you up like a dead ****

dismissing you like a Queen
1,2,3,4
you're out the door at seventeen
cause when your mama drinks she gets so mean
knock down drag outs
in your face
you feel let down
yes, disgraced.
Now you're running
and, you feel chased.
Ten years later it's the same
pointing fingers
like you're to blame.
It's easier for them to lie this way
they never listen to what you say
anyway...
1,2,3,4
you can't take it anymore
the blame the shame
it's all their game
you're tired n' decided
to change your name.

Chains
TigerEyes Sep 2015
Chained to her bed
she was shaking
Yeah, she looked dead
sliding off she hit head
didn't know that cops could be that tough
didn't know they could be that rough
the inhumanity and,
the lack of dignity
I had so much sympathy
I was trying not to stare
but I couldn't look away
because I cared
I wanted to set her free
I wanted her to
be
like a butterfly
I just wondered
"Why, Oh-Why?"
And that's when I began to cry

September
TigerEyes Sep 2015
September is the month love flew by
said good-bye
bye-bye-bye --
that's all I remember
about the rain in September
the rain rushing by with the wind
the wind, and the rain blowing the clouds to good-bye
pushing our love to good-bye
just like our love that flew bye
just like a bird flying high
I was too tired of your lies
and, the way you looked at me
the whole time you wanted to be
free, free, free
wish I could have seen
happier days with me
but it was not meant to be.

And now that you've vanished/ you're gone --
all that I have to say our these words that I've said today
in this song --
I wish that we could have gone on

but I've moved past September
toward the good days I remember
but those days are all gone--
and, I've moved on --
Yes, I've had to move along
Yes, September is the month love flew bye
it was the month I said good-bye
good-bye to you, and I ---.

The Postcard
TigerEyes Sep 2015
She looked around the house for the last time
before grabbing her soft red sweater off the dining room chair
gazing around
she held a black, and white photograph in her hands
of her once happy family.

Too full of tears for her to stay in palatial like rooms
decorated in the finest furniture
and, each room held its own secret
secrets dripping in rich lush greens
draperies that hung from tall ceilings
making everything appear in perfect order...
on the outside.

She placed the photograph back onto the glistening baby grande piano
the chandelier flickered from above
saying its own kind of farewell
she thought of the chapter in her life that had closed
a life that never really began
and, as she walked out the front door
she wrapped her red soft sweater around her now cold shoulders
managing to toss the postcard he had sent to her from Paris
swiftly into the trash in one fluid motion.
Not really a poem but the start of a short story.

The Last Good-bye
TigerEyes Sep 2015
She wanted him
to turn around
for the very last time
taking
an emotional snapshot
to keep like a secret
a memory to hold onto
their last moment together
like a symphony...
She wanted him
to turn around
for the very last time
so she could remember the flicker of gold in his eyes
the way the sunlight reflected off of it
dancing passionately toward her
instead he kept walking away
quickly
making it clear in an instant that he was gone
and, that he had closed the door
on her heart,
forever
and, as she turned and walked away from him
pushing the door open
to walk down the stairs
she felt their lives ripping apart...

wishing hard that she had looked into his eyes
more
just to keep a secret...
one she knew deep within her soul
he would never tell...
because
their symphony had ended
long ago.

Untitled: A Mantra
TigerEyes Aug 2015
Untitled, and untethered
Floating, and fleeting
Sensational, and seething
anticipating, and articulating
communicating expression
exceptional, and enduring
invention is my game
characters with stage names
dialogue, and dialect
inspire my intellect
la, la, lah-- la, la, la

Shakespeare, Kafka, Sappho please
help me with my writing needs
allow me to bring my characters to life
perhaps they'll drink some *** with wives
let them sing, and let them dance
allow them to play games of chance
mystery with history
mixing in a little misery
la,la, lah, la-la-la

let them bounce off every page
dancing merrily across the stage...
Oh, and let them love the music too
let them sing to me n' you
words of joy
words of passion
while they wear the latest fashion

Oh, and please...
I'm on my knees
let me earn a decent wage

I need to make sure to build a stage

I'll give them crowns with diamond gems
singing songs for all of them
Shakespeare, Kafka, Sappho please
inspire me with my writing needs

Meeting of The Minds
TigerEyes Aug 2015
Racing, quickly, moving swiftly..
I touch your soul
you touch mine
Like a book you've read before
you know my lines
I know yours
there's a meeting of the minds
that lets me know you're my kind
of man that can understand
the way I am --
Yes, the way I am --
It feels like a galaxy of stars
rushing in on planet Mars
an ecstasy of bliss
I've never felt like this
before
You see...
it was always one night stands
shadows out the door
I know it won't happen anymore
Racing, quickly, moving, swiftly
a meeting of the minds
now I know that you're my kind
a man that understands
keeping up with me
doesn't come so easily
yet you do it
with so much style...
I think I'll hang out...
for awhile.
A song.

Sorry, No
TigerEyes Aug 2015
Sorry, no
I don't think so

I don't do that anyway
I don't know why you think that way
cause I'm a woman with some class

Yeah, cause I'm a woman with some sass
And, I'm not just a piece of a**

Sorry, No
I don't think so

Baby, if you can't learn to treat me right
I'll kick, and scream each and every night

So, there's the door
I don't want to be with you...
anymore

and, I'll bury you in the ground
while I'm boxing you up n' down
that's alright by me
cause don't you see...

Well, baby that's just me

I will bite,
and kick and scratch
cause I'm a woman with some sass
Yes, I will kick
Yes, I'll bite
and, I will scratch
Cause baby, that's just me
hope you can finally see

I'm like a cat
I'll scratch, claw, and kick
I'll hiss
I'll do way more than this...

Baby, you better treat me right
because I will put up a fight

Sorry, No
I don't think so

If you think you can get like that
Yeah Baby, I'm gonna be a cat
I'll claw you up n' down
until you can't take another round...

Sorry, No
I don't think so..

Cause you don't know
who you're messing with
while you're saying you're with me
the whole time you've been with her

Sorry, No
I don't think so

Cause you just don't know
who you're messing with
Baby, I can be a total *****
you have no idea who you're messing with

In Darkness & In Light
TigerEyes Aug 2015
In darkness, and in light this Goddess travels through the night
with her sword within her hands, a true warrior Goddess of distant lands.

She casts her magic across clover fields, strong in spirit, strong in mind, she's a Goddess of truth, and she's also kind. Cross her path even once, she'll make sure you're good n' done.

Green eyed Goddess from the Orleans, she only seeks victory, if you meet her in this life, remember to bow down on bended knee. She's the moon, and she's the stars, on her white horse she travels far.

She wields her sword through the air, like a lion roaring right at you
you'll feel her spirit passing through.

In the darkness, and in the light, this Goddess knows what's right.
Charging forward on her horse, she never feels remorse.
With golden hair, and her green eyes, she leads her army to victory.

Like Joan of Arc on a vision quest, she never has to guess. What is dark, and what is light, this Goddess knows what's right.

Our House on a Friday Night
TigerEyes Aug 2015
My mom would always make a *** roast on Friday night
there were candles lit on a table so fine
the best of linens, and fine china to dine
a nine course meal /starting with salad of course
potatoes n' carrots and fresh apple pie
the apples were picked from our orchard tree's
a soft gentle breeze came from West from the sea
the smell of a salt water ocean wafted on in
this holy night would always begin
with a prayer at table before we'd dig in..
where calm would reign on our family that night
the house swept clean, and everything gleamed
Oh, how I miss those Friday nights
where holy, and sacred were sewn at the seams.

Out of Corner of her Eye
TigerEyes Aug 2015
Out of the corner of her eye she spotted a ghost that loved to spy

the ghost having lived long ago
flew down from the sky into her open window
dropping flower petals at her feet in rainbow colors
where he would cling to her body
breathing in her every breathe
watching her go about her day
whispering her name softly into her ear
he would brush up against her silk white skin
each night,
forever wanting...
forever haunting
one day...
She caught a glimpse of him
out of the corner of her eye.

So there Bob was standing right there
buck *** naked
while everyone stared
inside a Saloon
cigar smoke billowing in the air
Someone cracked Bob with a chair
It was Rob
Bob's twin who was a total snob
It was like an old time Western with John Wayne
Bob yelped out as if in pain..
Rob dumped his twin in the mud
telling his twin he's the stud
Bob yelled out again as if in pain...
moments later
A horse flew by with a woman on top
she grabbed Bobs hand and, swung him up
It was Wicked Calamity Jane
And the two road off, in the pouring rain.

Over The Mountain
TigerEyes Aug 2015
She flew over the mountain to the other side
to meet a wizard that was wise
wanting to look into his eyes
where there were magic flowers everywhere
of golden colors in pinks, and blues
he taught her everything that he knew
that's' when she found out he was true
no harm, or foul play would come to her
there was magic floating everywhere
that's when the wizard showed he cared

her soul to keep from all that's bad ...
he waved his wand up in the air
and, he gave her everything that he had.

On The Wings of a Dove

I'm flying on the wings of a dove
on white wings
we're flying in the sky above
dipping to get a better view
we're moving so fast
I want this ride to last

Oh, it's so blue
blue up here in the sky
where we're flying
Oh, so high.

Into the Forest
TigerEyes Aug 2015
You hold my hand
as we walk into the forest
I breathe your breath
I take it in
I take it in
for my health
under a green forest
beneath a blue sky
as a river passes by
the birds, and butterfly's
they flutter on by
flutter past
and-- our love lasts
and, lasts
forever
as the river flows on
forever past.

Luck Dragon

I have a luck dragon
and, he flys me through the sky
I have a luck dragon that never says goodbye
he flys me on his wings
high up in the sky
through storms, and rain
through all my trauma, and all my pain
I have a luck dragon
he's here to stay
he always wipes
every tear away.

The Sound of You
TigerEyes Aug 2015
I feel you moving inside my soul
you move me
and, I have no control
you take me to other fields
you take me where I have no shields
a woman that's always held her ground
Steady. Strong. Fierce
A lioness stare that could pierce.
A woman that knows she belongs
Still. A woman that longs...
longs for love
the kind of love
where she belongs.

you are a man I've never known
you are a man that's helped me grow.

In the darkness of the night
you don't give up for hope that dreams can come true
even when no one believes in you.
When they say you haven't sold
or, that your work is just too old --
you still hang on to a dream that holds
your life in balance at this time
you hang on to your every line
because no one can ever take that away from you
stay strong because you're you
still you keep creating every day
you keep creating in every way.

I Won't Let You
TigerEyes Aug 2015
I won't let you take me down
No, this time is your last round
Hell yeah, this is your last round.
You've done this before
you've gone and done this so many times before
I  can't count how many times before
I've got news for you
I'm leaving you at the door.
I'm leaving you poor...
Cause you can't do this to me anymore.
Staying in my home
I don't mind being alone
Step off/get out/
I'm shouting
Think you can wear me down
No, no, no...
I got time/I got energy/I got time all around

I'm standing up to you
standing up to you
and, I'm going to take you down
I'll make sure you're good n' through--
Because of what you do --

before I came around
you did this to another woman
and another woman
and another woman
but not this woman.

Though you may not love me anymore, on any day, in any way
I still love you
My darling I still love you ---
I just spent the longest hour of any day of any hour
thinking of the ways I still love you
(humming)
I may not be able to regain your love, on any day in any way, in any hour
I don't have that kind of power ---
but at least I can say I tried
I tried, and tried before I cried ---
that you would be anything close to me
again--
(humming)
Just remember
It's love I always send
and it will never end--
to you, to you, to you---
I send love to you
you, you, you ---
And though you're dear to my heart
I must make a new start
at something new --
New to me, and you.
New, new, new ---
for me and you.
A work in progress

Between Ourselves

Between ourselves
between the shelves
our photographs tell our story
of a past that held so much glory
now we've both moved on
from a past that still haunts
haunts me with photographs
between the shelves
between ourselves
our story that finally ended
ended long ago in the past
our love that didn't last.

I Don't Know Why (A Song)
TigerEyes Jul 2015
I don't know why you feel this way
All I have to say is I wish you'd stay--
No, no, no/ please don't run, run, away--

Yeah, I just want to dance/in the rain with you---
dance in the rain like we used to do
Please don't say we're through--
Remember all the good days that we had
when we were young, and just so glad
to look into each others eyes/and realize
that our love was here to stay, stay--

I don't know why you feel this way
you've turned your back on me
and, I can't make you see--
that all the things you dislike in me
are really the parts of you
that scare you/that make you run/run/run
just like you always do.
you say we're done--
you don't see/you're just like me/don't want to stay/
got to walk away-----away, away--
Yeah --

All I hear from you is --
you can't take me/got no time/it's my crime
Yeah--

I don't know why you feel this way
All I have to say is I wish you'd stay
No, you don't have to run, run, run
away, away---
I just wish that you would give me a second chance
I just want to dance/in the rain with you --
dance in the rain like we used to do
but you say we're through --
Please stay, stay--

Yeah ---.
Please stay--

News Speak Nation
TigerEyes Jul 2015
It's just another day in News Speak Nation

Our country tis' of thee
sweet land of the liberty
of thee I sing

It's a News Speak Nation while CNN drones on
they just want you to sing along.

Now the people wonder where we went wrong.

Land where my fathers died
land of the Pilgrims pride

It feels like one big dream
why don't you sing with me?

From ev'ry mountainside
Let freedom ring

While the news keeps blasting on
how we don't get along
the wars keep marching on
It's a News Speak Nation
spreading fear, n' damnation
when every one of us can say
our ancestors made their way
through stormy sea's
to kiss the ground, and pray.
Don't believe what the politicians say
they just want to have their way.
Buying votes as they crack their jokes
playing games with our votes.

Our fathers' God to Thee,
Author of liberty,
To Thee we sing.

While the gap of the rich and poor
widens deep
the middle class can't compete.

Spinning Globe Story
TigerEyes Jul 2015
I had a vision of a globe spinning once upon a time
And, I heard a song playing with these words
this is how it rhymed,
China joined Russia while Peru fell off the map
Yes, while the United States had been sleeping
our President had gone out, or had been taking a very long nap
Australia went South, while Florida went North
the world was changing so fast, and a prophecy was set forth
I can't explain this vision, I cannot know that right now
the world was changing so fast, and I couldn't figure out how
All I know is the United States had been sleeping
that's all I know for sure right now.

Twin City Upon The Moon
TigerEyes Jul 2015
Twin city upon the moon
can I come up to see you
sometime soon?
Are the stars your lights
And is it bright?
I want to catch
a one way flight
I'll leave tonight
Is there anyone
that looks like me?
I'd love to see
what I'm supposed to be
from up there...
what should I be?

Beware of the kindness of strangers
it may be a minute too late
Ah, you have a light bulb moment
just a minute too late
that they were just users
and, lions in wait
when you find out the danger
of trusting others
who desire your favors
Ah, just a minute too late
justifying all of their hate
strangers disguised as angels
living as devils, and spreading their lies
you wish right now you'd looked into their eyes
Ah, your light bulb moment
all because...
* it was a minute too late.

A beautiful Paris day

CUT TO: A charming sidewalk cafe'

A tres' chic woman gazing at a child nearby
as a red ballon floats on by...

A handsome man WALKS up to her.

"Bonjour, Mademoiselle. Je suis, Ian

We ENTER her thoughts, and LISTEN.

***. I'm so nervous!! I can feel a lake pooling in my Jimmy Choos!

The woman fumbles with a translation book for a moment, and then gives the man her best **** look.

"Tres' bien enchante' vous. Je suis, Marylou"

Why am I sweating so much? He'll meet me -- and run away.  I'm going to die alone. Alone, with my cat. Who's going to feed my cat when I'm dead?!

Marylou attempts to distract herself by flipping her long blonde hair, and smiling confidently.

A piece of lint has fallen in her eye -- giving the impression that she's winking at him.

We ENTER the thoughts of IAN.

Did she just give me the look?! She is so winking at me! There!! She just did it again! Okay. Relax. She's going to run away after she meets me. I'm going to end up dying alone. Alone -- with my dog! Who will feed my dog when I'm dead?!

Marylou -- still blinking her eye, "Parlez vous Englais?"

Ian, "Oui! Oui! Yes! Yes, I do I do!!!!"

Marylou,
Oh, Thank God! I'm from New Jersey! My French ***** so bad!

Ian,
*Oh, Thank God! I'm from Australia. My French ***** so bad!

I am just a child but my mama say I wild
she say I best get dressed for Jesus or, I gonna burn up in hell fire
So mama n' me we got dressed up n' walked to Jesus land
cause we goen to a Jesus house n' listen to the holy preacher man
They gonna pass the basket round'n' round'
while them choir boys sing they sounds
cause we supposed to give everythin' we can
Yeah, give everything we got to the holy preacher man.
In Jesus land we give n' give -
give it all to the ol'
preacher man.
Don't got no money for food
we sure ain't got no money for rent
cause we be live'n by a river in a ****** ol' torn up tent
but preacher man he say to bow our head
yeah,  to pray n' then repent
I am just a small child but this sure don't make no sense.
Yeah, I am just a small child n' my mama say I wild
I sure don't wanna burn up n' what they call the lake of fire
that ol' basket sure got full real fast
when dat' basket went on past
mama, she put her last quarter in --
to protect us from all our sins
and, dat' devil sin'n man
Now I know that I am just a child of five
but I don't think dat' make me wild
preacher man he the one drive'n a big ol' fancy car
Yeah, he drive'n a big ol' fancy car with they shiny white wall tires
So dats' why I gonna grow up n' be a preacher man
gonna tell them folks of wild child's....
to give everything they can.

It is not my intention to offend anyone with this poem. Flannery O' Conner was so ahead of her time. I love "all people" of every race, color, religion, and creed. This was inspired by her work that I read last summer.

Winds of Change
TigerEyes Jun 2015
Winds of change have come flooding in
from a storm that's' now seeping in
And there's only one way out ---
take away all these doubts
these angels that may be guiding me
gently pointing out all I need to see.

Yeah/yeah winds of change have come for me, and I know they've
come to set me free

Yeah/yeah-- winds of change have come for me so I can finally see
that these changes are my destiny
perhaps some kind of bigger plan
that I hope to understand
Winds of change are rushing in
it's up to me/to make things right

Yeah, I'm holding on
I'm holding on into the morning light.

One World Order
TigerEyes Jun 2015
Join in everyone
it's a new day for a rising sun
Utopia is here -- and there's nothing more to fear
we've wanted this for so long/for this to finally come
the last war is finally over/yes, it's finally done
the One World Order has begun
So look into your neighbors eyes
and, perhaps offer them a tender smile
(Chorus/Children's Voices)
la, la, la - la, la, la, la --- la, la, la -- la, la, la
We are finally One
the wars are finally over
Yes, they're finally done
sing in unity/sing to this song
we're all One/the wars are finally over
yes, they're finally done
Sing in unity to this song
we're all One race, and everyone belongs---
la, la, la - la, la, la -- la, la, la--la, la, la
All the horses have left the sky
there's no more reason for you to weep or, cry
Utopia is here, and there's nothing more to fear
Love your brother, love your son, love your daughter....
love your neighbor,
love everyone.

Saints & Sinners
TigerEyes Jun 2015
In this world the Saints are Sinners and, Black n' White.
The cops are haters, and they start the fights.

I hear their victims scream at night. Yes--it feels like one big game of chess
where I'm the pawn n-- I'm moved around; can't make sense of up or down.

Never knew this place exists. I got cuts n' bruises on my wrists.

Saints with guns Saints are Sinners with Sinning Sinners that act like nuns.''Black is White". "Yes" means "No." "Up is "Down" cause the Sherrif's got me turned around.

That's right. Turned broad upside down n' kicking me, and I'm in tears --
that's right. Turned  broad upside down n' kicking me on then ground
---Oh, God --- Oh, God --- never planned to end up here.
this place is *****, and bleeding fear

Oh, God -- Oh God, wipe away my tears.

Outside/In (For Lexi)
TigerEyes Jun 2015
A night she won't remember
A night she won't recall
it was the night she lost her mind
she took a tumble, and a fall
Fireplaces were in the walls, and she heard voices in her head
She prayed to God so hard that day, and she wished that she were dead.
She saw manaquins on the stairs, and candles in the air
A woman floated past her with green, and purple hair
There was music playing inside her head
She tried to change the channel but an Opera played instead
A Deputy came into her room n- said the alian's will be here soon
He told her there's a "One World Order", and that she will have to begin to choose.
The Deputy said she should be moving on to the sound of beating drums
mentioning algorithms while he sang a very creepy song ---
It's a night she won't remember/a night she won't recall.
It was a night that she lost her mind n'took a tumble, and a fall.
Aliens came in the middle of the night.
Ever since that happened her soul hasn't felt that right
the aliens had warned her...
you're now one of us tonight.

Black Is White
TigerEyes Jun 2015
The devil made me do it
All night, night, night
Uh-shhh-baby/Uh-uh/Shhh-baby
That's right, right, right
He came to visit inside my head
Uh-shhh-baby/Uh-uh/Shhh-baby
It started on a Monday
and, ended on a Sunday
Devil went n- shook me
until he was satisfied n' took me
higher than the sky
then he looked me in the eye
say'n Uh-shhh-baby/Uh-uh/Shhh-baby
(Chorus)
Black is white/wrong is right
The Devil made me do it
all night, night, night
took me to the sky
looked me in the eye
say'n Uh-shhh-baby/Uh-uh/Shhh-baby
Come with me tonight
I submit to your delight
Let me have your soul
and, I'll give you full control
take this fruit I give
through eternity you shall live.

From Above
TigerEyes May 2015
He said he's proud of me from up above
Yeah --he's so happy that I know true love
and that I'll never let myself be hurt again
by all the Jim's and Steve's
who hid all their hurt up inside their sleeves
Oh, My Father -Oh My Father
can you hear me from up above?
someone said you could hear my music--
yeah, that you could see
that you are floating around me now
you hear my music
you've memorized my music
and you sing with me right now...

You wrapped your sweet sound
your sweet sound all around me
oh it was my sweet sound around me --
Oh, I heard you -- I heard you --- "Baby, you just sleep
your Daddy's here -
please baby don't cry/ please don't weep
I promise / I promise
I'll see you in a week

Oh Father - Oh Father -
I sing to you all the time
I remember every rhyme...
can't you make it like it was
like it was with you n' mommy
with you, and mommy
the very, very --- last -- last -- time
you said.. I will come around
I sing to you on rainy days
I sing to you because it seems..
that's when I see the bright
sunshine rays...

I feel your spirit with me ---
each and every day.

She's So...
TigerEyes May 2015
Oh, Oh --
She's so Tiger Chic
yeah, she's the kinda woman
the kind you wanna meet--
when you pass her
when you pass her on the street--
it could be in London /it could be in L.A.
a starry night in New York
or, in the middle of the day
you'll just be so happy
she happened across your way--

Oh, Oh -- and she's so Tiger Chic --
she's so badass in the Boardroom
she's even badass when she's sweet
Oh, Oh --  a badass kinda woman
the kind you really wanna meet.

Oh, Oh --and she's so Tiger Chic
she's doing calculous in her head--
n' she wants it poetic in her bed--
Oh -n' btw, she wants the pre-nup before she even weds--

She's an independent woman
yeah, she's so on her game
she's the kinda woman
that's gonna hyphenate her name

Oh, Oh-- n' she's so Tiger Chic
the kinda woman
you'd beg to meet.

Drifting
TigerEyes Apr 2015
I am drifting
drifting
I have no home
I am like a weightless
rolling stone
out on the water/out on my own
drifting/drifting
I am all alone
no attachments
to any love
only blue sky
and, white clouds
up above
I am water
I am air
drifting
drifting
everywhere
I do not want
I do not know
I am like a weightless
rolling stone
drifting
drifting
that is all I know
I am now
I am then
I keep
drifting/drifting
again,
again --
a million stars
a million breathes
without a memory of any *deaths

Beyond the meadow near a wooded field
a long held mystery was revealed
                               a key...
                                       a map...
                                             a hidden door...
were all just waiting to be explored.

A small hand reaches for the key unlocking magic for a child to see...
                                      the map...
                                             the door
                                                   begin to glow
to a whispering voice...
                                      "There's more to know"
Enter
Lilith a child of nine who's convinced she's lived a million times...
Enter
Fairies
fluttering around from right to left....
guiding her toward the path that's best.

An angel whispers once again...
"Careful of creatures disguised as friends"
Narrator
A force,
           or -- hand,
                     began to pull her in
and, soon she began to fall, and spin.

And so the journey now begins ...
                                    Lilith wakes in Faraway

a place she dreamed to go one day.

EXT. Faraway - NIGHT

FADE IN:

Narrator

Lilith see's creatures crawling everywhere
they all have green eyes, and purple hair...

Careful
TigerEyes Apr 2015
Be careful
accept change
keep your balance through all the fires
through all your rain
because nothing ever stays the same
in this life /yeah, in this life
you can always count on the rain
if you're alive, and still breathing
there's no escape/yeah, there's no cheating
it's the one thing about living that remains the same
like gravity
it just exists
you can try to check out/numb up
whatever it is you do to get ****** up
but you can't out run it
it's like the devil
it's just there/it doesn't care
it's laughing at you when you feel like dying
oh man, oh man - I know you're crying --
yeah, it all just kind of snuck up
a careful hunter that's always there
it wants your soul/it wants your breath
it won't be happy until it smells death
now you're gone/yeah, you're gone
Yeah, n' there's no telling for how long

Keep your balance through all the fires
through all your rain
because you'll wake up the next morning
and, everything will be the same
be kind toward the friend inside
and, tell yourself you can get through the fires
you can survive all your rain
you can find peace, and harmony
even in the midst of all your pain
carefully walking through every change.

You're The Kind
TigerEyes Apr 2015
You're the kind of girl that doesn't need anything
you give the impression that you don't need anyone
but first impressions can be deceiving
because pretty soon you start believing
that you're the kind of girl that can't be undone
Yeah, you've been taught that's how winners have always won
smiling through the tears for so many years
never admitting your weakness, or your fears
you're the kind of girl who gives the first impression
that you've never suffered anything close to depression
cause you hide it from everyone
because you won't let yourself be undone
and, you tell yourself to just be brave
you've been told that's just how winners must behave
even if you feel torn up inside
you're the kind of girl that always hides
all the sadness, and the pain
Yeah, you just keep smiling through all the rain
because you're the kind of girl --
that pretends she doesn't need anything,
or, anyone in this world.

Rattle Snake Bob came swaggering in
with a gun in his boots n' smell'n like gin
He had one green eye, and a wandering blue
make'n ya wonder which one was look'n at you
With burry vision, and a sloppy slur
the swanky restaurant went silent in a minute, or two --
cause he was standing bear *** naked wear'n just a single shoe
waving his gun up in the air --
with last nights Chili n' gum mixed in his hair
My- oh -my how everyone stared
everyone knew to hit the deck
when the bullets went fly'n and bouncing like heck
See --
Rattle Snake Bob had a twin named Rob
who'd gone to Princeton and was a total snob
he'd majored in golf n' minored in Law
with a penchant for ladies...
that were dating ...*Bob
