Forgetting You
India Mar 2014
Today,
I am slowly
forgetting you.
And your happiness,
I'll always pray.

The memories
we spent together,
in my mind
won't stay.

And so,
            I painted my nails
            the black lacquer,
            'cos they'll remind me
            you are always here.

            "Just like a rockstar",
            you whispered softly,
            leaving melancholia,
            I live life in solitary.
You shouldn't have left.

The Girl On The Subway
India Apr 2014
The ******* the subway
dropped the handkerchief
that was sitting on her lap.
------------
I picked it up
only to find out it has
splattered inks of black.
------------
She came to me,
mascara streaked down
from her sun-kissed face.
------------
Her pretty brown eyes
were like sunset and I swear,
I couldn't look away.

She locked herself up in her room during the summer
until her skin turned pale white.

She dyed her hair red and let her Mom braid it
until her hair became long and mermaid-like.

She was a young girl who had always
believed in fairytales—
the only thing that gave out what "the meaning of life" could be.

She says she's going to find Prince Charming and
he’s going to be everything she wants him to be.

She turned every page day to day waiting
for someone to save her from all the woes
the world has cast down upon her.

She waited until she was struck by reality with
demons in her mind and never being loved became her fear.

India Apr 2014
Monday, we are lovers
Tuesday, we are complete strangers
Wednesday, you are so nice
Thursday, you are like a devil in disguise
Friday, I want us to be well
Saturday, all you do is yell
Sunday*, we are starting to fall—

I just don't get you at all!

I'll Stay
India Jun 2014
You wake up from your sleep
and remember all the bad memories.
The hurtful past you tend to keep,
the sad moments, you reminisce.

You were as blue as the ocean
darling, you drown in sadness.
You feel every emotion,
you think they fill in the emptiness.

But, I want to prove you wrong
and take your sorrows away.
I want you to be strong,
behind you, *I'll stay.
You think you want to die. But in reality, you just want to be saved.
India Apr 2014
The first time I saw you
was breathtaking
You are beautiful and amazing
At the same time.

Little by little,
I noticed the blue in your smile.
I wanted to explore your deep thoughts
no matter how treacherous it is.

The more we talked,
My feelings went deeper
and later on I realized,
you have always been my ocean—

*You have drowned my demons
and washed my troubles away.
And I am very thankful that I have you. I hope you know how wonderful you are inside and out.

Where We've Ended
India Mar 2014
Now this,
this is where we've ended,
a scarcity of love.

I have so many things to say
Now, I couldn't utter.

We could've fixed this—
if we fought for the ones
that matter.

I wanna smoke a lot,
and forget about
everything that hurts.

I wanna smoke a lot,
so I won't hear
those hurtful words.

I wanna smoke a lot,
and let you taste
the nicotine on my lips.

I wanna smoke a lot,
right after we made love
under the sheets.

I am weak,
I am alone,
I see things other people don't.

I am broken,
I am cut,
I am everything she's not.

I want to bleed,
I want to cry,
All my life I'll wonder why.

Poetry and Fine Arts
have always been
her best friend.
Everyday, she'd write
a poem or two and,
draw the visions
inside her mind.

At home, she's being
beleaguered with hurtful words
and goes to school late.
She jokes around
her friends while
they continue their
unfinished plates.

She loved mysteries
so much that
she became one.
Living with scars
and fears that
fills her mind
is what she had done.

India May 2014
On a summer of 2010,
I met this guy who wore a red cap.
He has an adorable smile,
he still had his teeth gap.

On a summer of 2011,
he had his braces.
"Real men wear pink.",
he says as my heart races.
I **** at poems now :( I'll try to write a beautiful one anytime soon.

Oh, it is too much
pain to bare,
to love a man
you have to share.

I am always hoping
that there will come a time
you'll leave her arms
and forever be in mine.

I am slowly losing myself
for a loving a man
who's unfortunately committed
to someone else.
Why don't you stay?

Dangerous Kind of Love
India Mar 2014
Somehow you remind me
of my past lover.
Like how he used to
play my nose with his finger.
And how he used to
pinch my skin.
When I get mad,
he starts to grin.

Some things he does,
I seem to forget.
Hurting him constantly
is one thing I regret.
How come I miss
these things I knew?
Isn't it bad?
I find him in you.

But now you left,
our tragedy has begun.
Something shattered inside me,
that I thought was long gone.
Your deep, gentle voice
resonates inside my mind.
You showed me love
but it was a dangerous kind.

Someday we might have
a new beginning.
Time can heal wounds,
but it can be deceiving.
I guess we'll want
a brand new start.
Or, forget each other
and forever be apart.

To forget you
is just another repercussion.
It may be unpleasant,
or the best decision.
This perilous love, I'll end
without even saying a goodbye.
Don't even mind it
and bother asking me "Why?"
