My Heart
In amid of lies dwells thine own kind heart,
Imprinted with painful wounds and scars,
Beat once and thou shalt find thine own relief,
Beat twice and thou shalt question thy belief.

Wonderous wonders oft recites an unsung tale,
Imprinted with sorrows of unrequited love,
Beat once, thou shalt be welcomed with pain,
Beat twice, thy fate shall repeat it once again.

Beautiful Sunrise
PRAKHAR SHARMA Jun 2023
Basked in the light of a beautiful sunrise,
Long and quite walks, hands intertwined,
Standing ashore and opposite to the arise.
It reflects in your eyes, beautiful and kind.

As the cold water rushed past our sandy feet,
Your lips parted with a smile, lovely and sweet.
As the sea blinks to the sky, beautiful yet deep,
I request thee dear time to pause and let us be.

I slowly wrap my arms around your shoulder,
A sudden silence, you are no longer here.
Beneath the sky, wide and open, I slowly lie.
Without you the sunrise is a beautiful lie.

Everywhere in me yet nowhere around me,
Early horizon is all left for me to see and plea.
The blanket of dawn slowly covers my eyes,
Basked in the light of the beautiful sunrise.

Lost love
PRAKHAR SHARMA Apr 2022
I hath walked past the windy breeze,
Into thy land of fading love.
What do I see?
Fairies and endless sky did paint with dove.

Bewildered and hath lost in thy strange land,
I await thee for days and nights.
Reminiscing our story in an open strand.
What do I see?
Hands intertwined, long and quite walks.

Four years has’t hath passed in a blink of an eye,
Bonded with faint whispers and a truthful lie.
An untold chapter shall I recite,
In amid of teen and sorrowful cries.

Wake up love and whisper in mine own ear,
A foreswear yond I yearn to heareth from thy heart.
“I love thee my love and we shall at no time part”.
What do I hear?
Silence did trample by the mourning clouds.

Walk through Seasons
PRAKHAR SHARMA Feb 2022
Come summer, let us go someplace afar.
Not in the sea, not to the Thar.
Somewhere where the tranquil winds caress our face,
A place where life can give us a warm embrace.

Come autumn, let us walk through the fallen leaves.
Not through a lively garden, not though an envious breeze.
Somewhere where love part your lips with grace.
A place where life can give us a warm embrace.

Come winter, let us sit by the burning firewood’s,
Aftermath of a walk in the dawning woods.
Somewhere where our footsteps imprints a beautiful phrase.
A place where life can give us a warm embrace.

Come summer, let us go someplace afar.
A place where life can give us a warm embrace

Her Memories
PRAKHAR SHARMA Oct 2021
She liked to gaze at the painted skies,
As the tranquil winds unsettle her wavy locks.
The jealous clouds try and run amok,
Alas!! Time sweeps away her beautiful smiles.

Perhaps fates can write beautiful lies,
As I color her memories on small rocks.
She liked to gaze at the painted skies,
As the tranquil winds unsettle her wavy locks.

Are these tears that fall of my eyes?
I guess it’s time for another lonely walk,
Where solitude await me to mock.
Yet another day passes as I reminisce her dreams and smiles,
She liked to gaze at the painted skies.

Lost Friend
PRAKHAR SHARMA Aug 2021
Winds soft and tranquil,
Cherishes quietly, memories and lost innocence.
Walls scribbled with unheeded promises,
Long Forgotten.
Weeping woman, old and clothes tattered.
Tragedy hugged and smiling son waned.
-My Friend-
Waned son smiling and hugged tragedy,
Tattered clothes and old, Woman Weeping
Forgotten long
Promises unheeded with scribbled walls.
Innocence and memories quietly cherishes,
Tranquil and soft winds.

Wait for me
PRAKHAR SHARMA May 2021
Wait for me, I will follow you to
Wherever you and I can pursue,
A life not bounded by domestic walls,
A love which can flow amid the stream of false.
Alas!! It sounds too good to be true.

Implore me with a beautiful view,
Where we can walk in the dawning dew.
As the sun rises, let us come to a pause.
Wait for me…

In winters I wish you could help me sew
A sweater, while warm broth shall I brew.
As nigh draws the end, let age be the cause,
For the night to grieve for our loss.
Alas if it is too much to ask you?
Wait for me…

Lost in the Woods
PRAKHAR SHARMA May 2021
I stopped for a while and heaved a heavy sigh,
The woods were as wide as the endless sky.
The winter noon seemed to be buzzing with life,
It seems I am lost in the wilderness wild.

The birds chirped as a soft breeze of wind waved past,
For how long will this moment seem to last?
The winter evening draws a curtain to the buzzing life,
It seems I am lost in the wilderness wild.

The dense paradise of solitary comfort is deep,
And the path I walk is too steep.
The winter night recites a tale of my plight,
It seems I am lost in the wilderness wild.

I stopped for a while and heaved a heavy sigh,
It seems I am lost in the wilderness wild.

Life Sings To Life
PRAKHAR SHARMA Oct 2020
Far away on the lands so far,
Our hands clasped at the eleventh hour,
Love escaped our lips as we parted love,
Life nictates a crippling affliction of life.

Remedy this sally through thy remedy,
Cry out to our blithe life as we both cry.
Pledge me a gift as a parting pledge,
Break away thy pledge and so shall we break.

Life of mine makes a plea to thy life,
Forget me my love for I cannot forget,
Loath me my love for I cannot loath,
Live for me my love for I cannot live.

Reminisce the memories that we reminisce.
Story of our life, let me dream a new story.
A piece of heart inked down on a piece of paper.

Garden of demise
PRAKHAR SHARMA Sep 2020
Suspire heavily, 'tis a garden of demise.
In amid of prolonged night it blooms.
Sea of night shines long and bright,
Methinks the stars are to blame.
Under such folly the garden dwells.
Nigh onto the envious dawn.

I felt the velvety dews,
Lying at peace over the willows.
Owls of Minerva hoot unsung beauty.
Vile are the fruits of life that demise withhold,
Endeavoured with the phantom of false.

Yes ‘tis our garden.
Ornaments of life violate to death,
Under this night where the cursed garden dwells.

Whisper
PRAKHAR SHARMA Sep 2020
Whisper out your heart my beloved!!
For I shall bear it with laugh,
If what thou tongue voice is hatred,
And laugh I shall gladly,
If Cupid has decided it to be blessed.

Whisper out your melodies my beloved!!
Tainted with reminiscence of tragedies,
But still it ought to be laughed,
To close thy scars damped with tears.
Fie the smiles harbouring cries.

Whisper out our stories my beloved,
And I intent to hear with interest,
For my love is no jest.
But if I art thou jester,
Then jest I shall till thee groan with laughter.

Whisper out something my beloved,
Devoid emotion your face portrays.
Why do you feel so cold?!
Wake up love and do tell,
Will you not whisper me farewell?
All thats left was a farewell.
PRAKHAR SHARMA Aug 2020
The name of our story is love,
And love be the song that makes our heart dance along,
But dance be that of a life entering as he sings none but cries,
And cries be heard all over the place as sweet and beautiful lies,
But lies are the lies that you speak to please me,
For pleased I am not by your lies but by our story,
And our story do have a name,
The name of the story is love.

Rain
PRAKHAR SHARMA Jul 2020
Born in the sky and die on the land,
And in amid is where it's life stand.
Droplets splashing over the willows.
Not one, not two but millions of them.

The passing mourner hugs this bliss,
And the falling art responds with a gentle kiss,
Such is the benevolence of rain,
Driving insane to the realm of sane.

One bystander have witnessed,
Twice the miracle falling from the clouds,
Yet he awaits the third one,
This time sharing it with his fourth son.

The beauty of the fall falls short ,
In comparison to the life, rain escort,
As seeds of red and green blooms,
A new life fiddles in his mother's womb.
An ode on rain

Horizon
PRAKHAR SHARMA Jul 2020
Let the passing years sing thy name.
Unsurfaced feelings rekindle a small flame,
Fading slowly as thee pass the horizon.
Afar from me, I tend to mend what's broken.

My gaze never leave the blazing stars.
Tears breathing life to sealed scars.
A new cold wind of uneasiness blew
Decorating the nearby life with dew.

Embracing the truth would be a beautiful lie,
A hollow soul left with lifeless cry.
Soon I will come to an impasse,
A new dawn will eventually come to pass.

I wish to walk through this turmoil,
To a place where ravaging ideas reconcile.
Gradually surpassing the state of a wizen,
As I climb above the horizon.

ADIEU!
PRAKHAR SHARMA Jun 2020
How should I remember thee?
Through the dance of the fireflies,
Dancing as my heart cries.
What a beautiful summer it is for me!

How should I remember thee?
Through the song of letting go,
Sung by the fallen leaves as the wind blow,
What a beautiful autumn it is for me.

How should I remember thee?
Through the fresh buds blooming,
The start of a new ending,
What a beautiful spring it is for me.

How should I remember thee?
Through the soft beds of the fallen snow,
Decorating my sight nice and slow.
What a beautiful winter it is for me.

I still remember thee,
As my sorrowful joy lay next to me.
Countless years still reminding me of you.
With a heavy heart I bid you adieu.

A Tale of betrayal
PRAKHAR SHARMA Jun 2020
The night was at a still.
Only our shadows seemed to thrive,
Conversing through the street lamps,
A slight flickering narrating a silent demise.

An easy wind creased our face,
Some words were left unspoken,
The eerie night seemed to decipher them
And a soul was left forsaken.

Your side-locks seemed beautiful
And the wind seemed to glorify it.
A sigh escaped your lips,
I think we need to quit.

Aghast as I was would surprise the fates,
A dreadful feeling wandering seemed to find its dwelling.
You turned and started to depart,
The night was still long and living.

Alone in the darkness engulfed street,
The red moon seemed like a magnificent sight.
My heart bears a weeping wound,
A tale of betrayal in the dead of night.

A SONG
PRAKHAR SHARMA Jun 2020
Sing along with me,
A verse of bewildered cries.
Imitating the harmony of Dolos,
A verse of guile and disguise.

Sing along with me,
A verse of reflections and surprise.
A story of betrayal and regret,
A verse of love breeding lies.

Sing along with me,
A parody of love and affection.
A story of the blind,
A verse of false satisfaction.

Sing along with me the last verse,
bleeding wound whispering a silent curse.
A verse of the last breath,
A banquet of life and death.

Last chapter of my life
PRAKHAR SHARMA May 2020
Looking back at my life,
How many chapters I hath finished?
Is there an end to it?
but the end is scary?
I have to walk the way of life.
Tirelessly striving to achieve the satisfaction
Alas it seems to slip from my grasp
Like the restless sands of dreams.
Waiting for the lights to switch off
There will come a time
When this scenery will engulf my eyes
And tears of life will give birth to new feeling
And no matter how much I hath read
The last one is what I have to write.

The Portrait
PRAKHAR SHARMA May 2020
The portrait of lies rivals unparalleled beauty,
conversing arrogantly, Oh! Such a pity.
The fire dancing dazzlingly at the fireplace
And unresolved feelings flow down my face.

I happen to cross a solitary evening,
with neighboring wild slowly dying.
Distant howling signifying the dawn of night
And the glory of stars engulfed my sight.

Once again, I gazed at the portrait.
Even though I trust my fate
A knock at my door seems too late
And hope is what I await.

Life has been such a miracle
And my journey seems to reach its pinnacle
I wish I would not suffer,
As I walk in hands with my slumber.
My heart recites for me

Creation
PRAKHAR SHARMA May 2020
Thou art a beautiful creation,
Not for a naught, but for preservation.
I am selfish, oh! Such prejudice.
Yet I art selfish for thee.
Oh!!I beseech thee!
Look away and far away.
Awaiting thou presence stand thy world,
So, let solitude prevail.
Walk and walk and walk,
On an endless road,
With burning rain dampening thy face.
Witness thy world in its utmost glory.
Build thy life and never stop,
And if a day is to come,
when thy heart tire thyself,
let our roads intervene.
I would stand there,
Awaiting thy presence.
Come to me O!! my princess.
My heart recites for me

Which era is this?
PRAKHAR SHARMA May 2020
Which era is this?
Where love eminences to suffer,
Where unexpected arrival reeks fear.
Afar destination still awaits our bliss.

Which era is this?
Where nature rampage over and over,
Where Red Dahlias disguise as beautiful aster,
Afar destination still awaits our bliss.

Which era is this?
Where burning tears of sky leisurely cry terror,
Where the last phrase of life exclaims horror.
Afar destination still awaits our bliss.

Behind our backs the door slowly closes
And In front a new one appears to venture
New era awaits our torture
And miles and miles are yet to cover.

Last touch
PRAKHAR SHARMA May 2020
I still remember the woods,
Covered with life and endless goods.
And what was not we expected to avail,
Sing O Sing! O Nightingale.

It was a day of miracle
So superficial yet so fatal
Harmony and love came together
Raining with beautiful white feather.

Your eyes beamed with happiness
Clutching my heart with loneliness
And years and years to come
Be the song that I hum

Never living up to expectation,
Who would have thought of extinction.
And all the memories of this hush
Sealed in my heart with your last touch.

— The End —
