Loss of Integrity
Why the ****
is seemingly everyone
so ******* slutty?

What the **** happened
to maintenance
of Integrity?

******
for the right words
or for the right look
or the right price
or the right Music
or the right *****;
the most important motivation to many
seems to be Instant ******* Gratification:

Please.
Such folly is childish:

Males and Females alike
seem to be equally Hedonistic
and selfishly manipulative:

What dissolute, reckless, selfish
Depravity of Sanctity
hath seized our Minds
with such wrathful, gluttonous, vain, lustful, and self-destructive
Epicureanism?

It seems to me
a Mind of Displeasure
recklessly seeks Indulgence,
and thus encounters overindulgence,
which then leads to overstimulation,
which in turn leads to depreciation,
which then manifests itself
as Debauchery.

Reputation
precedes you;
it follows you
as your social Wake;

Reputation
is the Name
for the Ripples
cast by One's actions;

Sometimes it is mere gossip,
rooted in vile, childish Spite;

but most times,
it seems karmic as ****.
This write is supposed to be highly General; a commentary on our Mentality,
so if you think this is about you, maybe you should reevaluate your Ethics;
or perhaps we simply disagree, which is totally fine with me,
so long as I can express it honestly.

That said, it probably sounds more angry and accusatory that it really is,
it's just a train of Thought that keeps parading around in my head
that I wanted to get out in some healthy way, so I wrote it,
and I thought it worth sharing. :)

Temple of my Earthly Goddess
You are not your Body,
but your Body is your Temple;
and your Temple is the only Altar
at which I'm compelled to worship.

The Goddess I know is present
The Goddess I know and love
The Goddess known to you as "I"
dwells within that earthly Temple
thus is thy Temple my Altar

I want to darken the room;
to turn off the lights
draw the curtains
and then to light candles
and disrobe our Temples
and lay upon a bed of satin
and to begin to carefully trace
the subtle curves, circles, arcs and lines of your Temple
with the lips, tongue, teeth and fingertips of mine
and to forget the sense of Time
we both know so well by now;

I want the Music of the harmonies of our Temples
to drown out the music of the turntable

I want the rhythm of our Love
to pulse so deep into the Night
that it comes back out the other side

I want the melodies we accidentally sing
to make the Moon and Stars blush with envy

I want to worship your Temple
in all the ways that we'd see fit;

I want us to moan in blissful, belligerent unison,
our eyes meeting with such electricity
that the spark creates ephemeral dim light
just before the magnetism pulls us together
and we kiss a kiss to end all kisses
just before we kiss a kiss to begin it all again.

I want this holy communion
under naked moonlight of Love
and I want to hold your Temple
until all Temples cease to be.

Time has no meaning
when we're apart.
Time has yet less meaning
when we're together.

I love you and your magnificent Temple,
my one and only Earthly Goddess,
and I can wish for nothing more
than to be able
to make you unable
to doubt it,
once more.
Love, and moreover ***, are deeply spiritual to me, as you may have noticed.
This poem is about that notion more so than an individual,
although an individual sure comes to mind
(though, she'll likely never read this unless I mail it to her; which I did)

This is not meant in any particular relevant order other than simply increasing physical size of the lines.

Addendum: Certain things pre-require discretion and/or moderation.

"What's good?" is a colloquialism for something between "How are things" and "what's up" here in Northern California, to which I'm never really sure what to answer. I am, however, usually tempted to offer a facetious retort, so I suppose this exercises that urge in a more serious manner.

Reputation
Your reputation
is usually a result of your actions
involving others;
Sometimes,
it does not accurately reflect who you are,
just how others see you.
Other times,
it is social Karma for the those
of indiscretion.

Your reputation
both precedes you
and follows you;
so long as people know people.

Sometimes you earn your reputation,
other times it is handed to you
by Life and her turmoil.
In either case,
it's usually up to you
to perpetuate it.

Self-Fulfilling Prophecy
Have you ever stopped to think
how much of your own Anguish
you've brought upon yourself?

Externalizing the source in a narcissistic tantrum,
One tends to find a scapegoat for One's own Shadow
and in turn disrespects the external Realm
almost as much as the internal.

Humility, Self-Discipline and Patience
are necessary for One to realize the truest sources of One's problems,
for many of One's problems originate within Oneself
and One then proceeds to socially pressurize others just to blow off One's own steam.

I am not immune;
I am my closest reference:
I reflect upon patterns in myself
which in turn help me to see them in others.

Although I am but my own case study,
I find it only reasonable that similar patterns would arise elsewhere as well.

Hardly Strictly
Something about being 151 miles from home
walking around barefoot all day
in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, California
wearing a vest and some black cotton pants,
drinking good Cabernet and lots of water,
eating homemade pasta salad and chicken sandwiches,
in the early-Autumn Summer-esque temperatures,
the third day of the 2013 Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival,
witnessing Gogol Bordello and The Devil Makes Three,
with my great Friends, and also Roomates, Abdul and his Wife,
and their friend and her 20 month old Son
makes me feel sort of ... *****.

Funny how that works;
Unprotected feet on very Public grounds
Unprotected feet on verily treded grounds;
Going barefoot is nice, though.

(Except the ******* sidewalks, incidentally.
Even the streets are nicer to walk on barefoot. Even pineneedles!

Such Purgatory
we,
as potentially conscious beings,
do incur such fantastic Purgatory
and yet we seem
indeed so very keen
to choose to wallow in
vain and irksome squalor-
a comfortable yet blind stupor
when it comes to
the very real causality
wrought of our intention:

yes, you read right:
i said "potentially conscious."
Why do we feel so compelled
to stratify ourselves above the natural World?

What it is that justifies
our Cult of Humanity?

Do we seriously believe
that our gradient of experience
is so much wider and more rich
than are those of dogs, or cats,
or fish, or bats, or lice, or ants,
or spiders, or birds, or trees, or flowers?

Wherefrom do we think
the notions of faeries, nymphs, sprites, and our Gods arose,
if not for the Natural world
as well as the traits of our psychology
made anthropomorphic?

Who are we
to suppose such things
just because we are us:
be this not the same sort of exclusionary cultism
whence are born sexism and racism
and ethnocentrism?

Anthropocentrism?

Who are we to belittle
any one thing on this God-given plane of Reality?

Are we really that caught up in ourselves
that we forget whence we've come?

All is but Energy
All merely is.
We are a part of that,
as it is a part of us.

All
is a holistic system
not a stratified hierarchy of experience:
that concept is artificial.

Is it so hard for us to see?
Is it so difficult for us to be humble about this?
Is it such a blow to our such delicate psyches
that we cannot concede such universal harmony?

Or is it that it is beneficial for some
for the many to remain deaf and blind
to this wonderful, liberating truth?

I think we all know the answer,
we just forget to look for it
and if we find it,
we become too distracted to embody it.

I know we're better than that.
I know we know better.

Do you?
Give a Centimeter, taken is a Light-Year.

Anthrocentric Bias
So it would seem,
the only difference
twixt Animal Behavior
and Human Behavior
is a capacity
for written
and spoken
Language.
-
---Epilogue--

According to various 'dictionaries,'
the word "anthrocentric" doesn't exist.
I, however, define it as the same principals of
sexism, ethnocentrism, or nationalism,
but applied to the perception
of a validated stratification of Human Beings
over the entirety of the Web of Life,
rather than to simply
the ***, ethnicity or nationality
of another.

I feel
the natural world around us
is far more sacred than we are-
although we are spawned of it.

I feel
it is so much more sacred
due to an absent respect for it
and the other beings
which it hosts so well;
so selflessly.

We **** Sapiens Sapiens
have defiled our own sanctity
via lack of respect
for ourselves,
let alone others Beings;
Human, and otherwise.

Apparently, that isn't very popular.

So many Egos
would rather depend on
intentionally small sample sizes,
while many Ids
would rather self-preclude
the challenge of self-observation
fore a mere and fleeting
(most likely destructive)
comfort.

I venture to say that is a present form of cowardice.
--Afterword--
So,
like it or not,
t'is an expression of my Self.
I fell I owe it to myself
to express it exactly as such.
I don't think as I do
for popularity;
it's just who I am
and what I think.

Look things up.
Explore ideas.

Now I wish only to forget.
Now I wish to move directly on.

I once was enthralled by you.
I once respected you greatly.

You had plenty of chances
to get out of it like a decent ******* human being
"maybe we aren't right for eachother"
I would try to suggest
and you would shove those words
back down my ******* throat
in a volley of self-righteous fits.

You
"had to love another"
to see the worth of my words;
what a ****** excuse
for such a known closet ****.

I say "****"
because I disagree with such debauchery;
I, who once partook,
to a certain extent
have come to see the folly of such ways,
to a certain extent
thanks to you.

I wish I could abstract my conscience
from any sense of morality;
you've got talent.

I thought you were better than that.
Turns out I was in denial
of all the things I'd heard
from your list of prior exes;

no wonder you ****** so well;
no wonder you ******,
you ****;
no ******* wonder.

Now I am inspired by you in was I never wanted to be;
Now I am compelled to give you the cold shoulder
until I can shatter the remnants of you out of my life
once and for all
like a thing frozen
in liquid Nitrogen.

I wish I could be your Friend;
I wish I could love you;
I wish I could stomach even the very thought of you;
but, to be perfectly and brutally honest:

I can't say I lament such is not the case.
I can't say I ever want to write about you.
I can't  say I ever want to think about you.
I can't  say a lot of the things I've said before.

Tou-*******-ché;
a child with post-pubescent physical maturity.

You don't deserve the warmth of even a cold shoulder.

I can, however, honestly say
I realized at some point in the last couple months that it came to be
that I was more used to your presence
than it was that I loved you;
you became moreso  familiar than compelling,
though nevertheless,
less and less comforting.

So,
the best course of action for me
for the sake of my Self, Sanity and Health,
was, and still is, to change my habits
and to minimize those bad ones:
Some of which are Things,
others of which are People,
and, this time, one of the People
with whom I'd made a bad habit of keeping company
just so happened to be You.

And I'm generally much happier now,
and part of me hopes that you are too;
yet a part of me still truly hopes
that you haunt your own Nightmares.

Go and **** someone
and **** up those who love you
tryin' to fill that Void
from which you're on the run
on the inside

The Gravity will only grow.
The Gravity will only grow.
I hope you choke on it.
I hope it ***** you down.
I hope it swallows you whole.

The Gravity will only grow.

Sorry,
but not really.
Not honestly.
Not earnestly.
I don't think you deserve an apology.

I don't enjoy writing this
but it does help clear my head.
It's healthier to share the expression
than it is to brood and let it boil over.

I don't think you really deserve
this level of attention or energy of mine
but, evenso,
here I sit
typing this
****
and
it
even came
to the point of
"sorry".

Don't take it for granted.

Ich bin von dir angeekelt;
Du kotzt mich völlig an.
Funny how those who accuse others of attacking them on a personal level
can be so able to lay such ruthless siege on the minds
of all those around them.

Hope [Deathbed]
I hope that as I lay upon my Deathbed
my thoughts are: "Well, I had a good run."
rather than having regrets for all of the things
that are inevitably left undone.

[I shall]
Strive to make it so.
Whether metaphorical or literal, or both!

No blame
There is no blame.
There is no blame.
There is no blame.
There is no blame.

There is no shame
unless you blame
or forget to learn
there can be shame,

but there is no blame
there is no blame
no room for blame
nor time for blame,

there is no blame,
no blame at all
there is no blame,
it will only stall.

No blame.
No blame.
Make thus thy mantra:

No blame.
::
THERE IS NO BLAME
AND NO SHAME
UNLESS YOU BLAME
THEN YOU BRING SHAME

for there is no shame
nor any blame,
unless you forget to learn,
or you yet yearn
to call for blame;
and endless shame
but there's no room for blame in this life of limited time
nor room for shame
nor to refrain yourself from anything but yourself;

no time for that
no room for that
it is only hate
and a grudge,
what a shame.

Work towards improvement.

I hold no blame
and try for no shame
in who I am and what I do.
Yet there is blame
and with it, shame
but what a shame
is this blame;

Work towards improvement.

There is no blame
in the face of such blame.
I cannot blame you;
but still I maintain
that there is no blame,
nor begrudging shame.

Work towards improvement.

There is no time for blame
nor room for shame,
nor need to blame;
I hold no blame.

No blame.

Gain.
There is no blame; blame is an artifact of Ego and Shadow.
Non-blame is an artifact of compassion.

Also, after reading this, the word "blame" seems to become weird.
They stopped making Pennies out of Copper here in the US back in 1982 because it was literally too expensive per Penny to mint them; now they're Zinc with a very thin copper plating.

Pennies made between 1909 and 1982 weigh in at 3.1g: 95% Copper; worth 2.5 Cents.
Pennies made after 1982 weigh in at 2.5g: 97.5% Zinc, 2.5% Copper; worth .45 Cents.

They started to lose Money on the minting of Pennies;
I feel that this is indicative of a deeper-rooted problem
than can be fixed by switching the composition of a Coin.

Pennies now are worth about a fifth of what they were just over Thirty years ago;
Yet they still represent the same integer of Currency.

The American Dollar has seen better days
The American Dollar seems on it's last legs.

Back in the day, money was fixed to mineral values,
but it seems now that Money is in the Eye of the Beholder, rather than the Hand of the Holder.

Remember, kids! [PSA]
If ya fixin' to start the party in a hurry
it's ******* before alcohol!

If ya fixin' to stop the party in a hurry
it's ******* after alcohol!
As Steel Panther frontman Michael Starr says: "If you're gonna drink and drive, do a bump of coke first to sober you up. Be responsible for christsake!"

Idiom
You know that the old idiom:
"It is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all."?
Well, I used to think that was *******; how can it be better to suffer?:
It's much less painful to know not of Love than it is to endure the sting of it's absence.

However, it is rarely ever more beneficial to take the easy way out: path of the Coward.
Moreover, it is inevitable that you will lose the things you love and that they will lose you.

To Love requires that you are made vulnerable.
To lose requires humility and integrity.

The Fires of Pain forge a stronger Self;
The Fires of Pain nourish a wiser Self.

It is truly better to have loved at all;
It's better off this way.
I'm seeking to amass a Collection
of the World's spiritual, mythic and philosophical codices.
I want to collect them out of veneration
for those who came before who have tried to illuminate the Paths:

Who are you? - 101 Ways of Seeing Yourself
--

I seek to compile this Collection
not to have a nice looking bookshelf;
nor do I seek to find which one is right.

I seek to learn from each of these
the lessons that are intrinsic in our Lives;
they're all matters of perspectives.

I want to compile the aspects of each philosophy with which I resonate
and integrate them into my own,
forging a dynamic and holistic individual philosophy.

All of these books are Mystical masterpieces.
All of these books provide insights to the nature of our Holy Reality.
All of these books ultimately attempt to express the same ineffability.
All of these books are interpreted then translated and interpreted again.
The way I see it,
I may as well do it for myself; draw my own conclusions:
Think for myself.
If anyone seeks further information
such as publishers or Authors not mentioned, please let me know.
If anyone has suggestions for additions to my collection, please let me know. :)

Quadrivium is simply and unequivocally badass.
