I looked to a dead man's eye
I saw the smile of his chapped lips mingle with the burnt cigarettes around his crippled body
I saw the smile of desperation smack my hair and I let the rose fall from the cold felt tips of my gloves
I shuddered when he accepted the rose
I gasped when he spoke the forbidden words
A voice with no moisture, dry, and cracked
He said goodbye to me
and I dropped my cigarette, stepping on it
Killing the flame
I said "Goodbye Dad"
So many things can be said in a few wistful sighs
I can read your thoughts by looking in your eyes
Too many times my whispers have not been heard
Too many days have passed without saying a word
So many things have been said between truth and lies

So many times I've tried to reach and touch your heart
I can still see the tears where it's been ripped all apart
Too many years you've simply just ignored your scars
Too many dreams of yours have yet to reach my stars
So many times I've tried to show you, you're a work of art

So many dreams can be shared between lovers and friends
I can never imagine a moment where the dreaming ends
Too many lyrics in way too many beautiful songs
Too many notes and tunes to discover in which I belong
So many dreams, time to find in which my heart mends

As fallen leaves crackle and crunch in the gentle autumn breeze, they are unafraid to whisper their darkest secrets to the world... Do they get a response? Of course not, for people are as self-involved as they always have been.

Will anyone rise to rescue us from our own selfish minds? I think not. It takes more than just one person to stand up to the world.

If I stood, would you stand with me? Would you stay by my side in sickness and in health? A promise is all I need to rise above all else.

If you were to commit to me, autumn's whispers would be revealed as the definite loudest... If you were to commit to me, whispers would turn to voices and voices would turn to shouts... otherwise known as our opinions.

We would be free to speak our minds without fear of any judgement at hand... We would be free to say or do anything we pleased. Say the word and I'm free... Free to be yours. Free to enjoy the autumn,
and the rest of my life,
**with you.

We sit in the same room, the same car, the same bed
mere inches apart, yet the distance feels insurmountable..
We sit in silence, each lost in our own thoughts,
but it is so loud in my mind.
My thoughts are screaming out to you.. wishing you could hear them.
I slowly let my eyes drift in your direction.. you are miles away,
no where near where my thoughts can reach you.
I wonder where you are,
and where you wish to be.

Foolishly, I try to make you love me.
Foolishly, waiting for you to love me,
thinking time will bring you to me;
thinking if I just try this.. or that..
But sometimes we try too hard.

We sit staring into each others eyes,
but we are looking through each other.
You – looking to where you wish to be;
I –  trying to see where you are,
trying to figure out when it was that the light in your eyes dimmed,
when the flame died.
Seems it died too soon.

I miss the times you would gaze into me,
and see me.
When I saw the passion in your eyes,
when I felt your words tear into my soul,
when you spoke to me
in whispers
so only I could hear.

Silently spoken words
Softly caress the ear
Uttered in a precious moment
To be shared, never to be forgotten,
But where do the whispers go
After they leave your soft lips?
Do they float gathering
Other softly spoken moments
To make a light breeze upon
Which to flow gently
Till they reach another ear
Oh where do the whispers go?
Again written in two minutes, thoughts straight onto paper, well Word

There are poetic whispers
in your kohl rimmed eyes.
I"m always washed away on their shores
we kept looking at each other to let our eyes whisper secrets....

Into the night, hundreds of galaxies sparkle,
Secretly engaging, like a child's game of hide-n-seek,
Surrounded by soft puffs of snow,
In the warmth of the summer breeze.

And unfurl,
Into the tropical seas,
As waves mildly splash,
Upon a bed of sand, creating a feeling of peace.

When light whispers,
Vanish upon native shores,
And relive in my heart,
Forever and ever more....

There are traitors in the castle
Hypocrites and liars
Spreading rumors, keeping secrets
Lighting silent fires
Pacing in the bedrooms
Quiet in the halls
Sneaking after midnight
Conspiring behind walls
Pretending to be royalty
Called themselves "king and queen"
Throwing out words like garbage
Not saying what they mean
Not taking time to think
Just playing a silly game
Betraying flesh and blood
not feeling any shame
Full of carelessness and greediness
But acting so sincere
Watching with fake smiles and laughter
Ignoring every tear
Throwing "traitors" in the dungeon
While deceiving on the thrown
Punishing those "committing crimes"
Not looking at their own
There were traitors in the castle
Hypocrites and liars
Bargaining with enemies
Igniting silent fires
Now there is no castle
No whispers in the halls
Nothing hiding behind doors
All that's standing are the walls

Notice how the voice that tells you you're beautiful
Is nothing but a little whisper

But the voice that explains all your flaws
Is the one that can be heard above a storm,
Above the sound of heavy machinery,
Above the sound of your heart
