I am frozen, my life is hidden away, I can't see you, or anyone, I'm rejected, heavens full up and I'm frozen, why does god deny me? my life is fading away....

I'm frozen, under a river of ice, and I lay there under the moon at night, the great deceiver, oh how I pray for the sun to melt this ice away

Cuz I'm ready I just need a chance, I can make it, just like everyone,
god can't deny me, not now I've come too far,
the great deceiver, doesn't just deceive anyone, oh when will the sun be melting this ice-age away?

I do not rush
I let the day find me
Still
Breathing slowly
Waking from the illusion
Not sleepy eyes
But wearing eyes of wonder
The water drips and drops
Pooling into a puddle
The wind wooshing
Through my coat
Through my hair
The air is cool
A dog barks in the distance
The ground is soft
Giving slightly beneath my feet
I indulge the forgotten feat
Of stopping
Seeing, feeling, hearing
Still as a stone
Well almost still as a stone
Shrouded in mist you come for me
From the silence, from the cold.
Waiting, watching has been your game.
Now you find me alone,
Hypnotised by the stillness,
Mesmerised by moments of sublime beauty as yet unseen.
I am helpless to resist.

What melody to find in silence,
What comfort in the earth!
Raindrops falling through trees echo through the forest.
A lone web hangs wet with dew.
A mushroom sits heavy with moisture on a tree stump.

The forest knows how to be in stillness
And make it's presence felt.

The love of the universe is all around.
Only in stillness of mind can it be found.
Quite yourself and just listen to its sound.
Peace and bliss is what will be found.
As soon as the forest surrounds me I feel it;
Enclosed, safe.
The softness of nature envelops me.
The sound of my mind quietens
And the forest noises come alive.
Birds calling, droplets of rain pattering on leaves,
a click or a shuffle.
Leaves fall like snow
Softening the heart of the weary.
I dare not move
But with the forest exhale
And acknowledge myself as one amongst the trees.
Would that I could sink my limbs into the earth
And join this silent gathering
Change with the seasons
And know my place on the Earth.
I wrote this while on silent retreat in the forests north of Berlin.

A gravel road leads to stone,
Soon passing the last town.
Mossy paths merge in illusion
Leading to an open field.

Time escapes a man of travel
And haunts the man who cannot sit still.

Might a man travel on to find..

Beyond that last mountain gorge
Where the lone-bird flies.

A place of stillness, separate from the world.

i know you're scared
but let's not worry about our love. instead,
give it the freedom to flourish, the space to be wounded, to collect scars

let us fight the fear of losing sight of it
as it runs through the field of our rights and wrongs
as it swims through the sea of our secrets
as it crawls through the crevices within our pleasures and pains
as it flies high with our spirits in every shared glance
as it walks barefoot through our fights and poorly-chosen words
as it grows old with our bodies, wise with our minds
it will roar and glow eternal through our storms

as each day ends, we should let our love sleep
give it sweet time and hope it dreams of us all night
let's keep the silence
baby, find the stillness in your mind and know
that when morning breaks and the sky awakes
we're gonna wake up to its smile

to be yours would be a Sunday morning
sipping on a favorite tea
watching as everything became veiled in stillness

to have your love would be a summer night
stolen stars and kiss soaked memories
surrounded by the inevitable sunrise

but to have both
oh, to have both
that could be nothing but a dream
if only a love like that existed

Morning voice whispers:
Stillness and silence bring and guide the soul from the darkness into the door of light, bring hopes, bring tears of happiness, and dancing into the new breath of life, rebirth and producing "healthy baby"...  And known that I'm loved I'm being blessed.

Poetry replies:
All welcome... As the dews in the morning shimmering the rays of love to the world... All welcome... As the morning air cleanses the past burdens... Purifies the bloodstream of mind and heart to the point (of no return) where freedom exhilarates life; envisions the paths for greater humanity and God's glory... All welcome...

i've reverted back to the days when
i held a permanent position
in between the arms of an
ugly, paisley patterned easy chair.

i played a game of hide and seek--
hiding from feelings, sought only by others
to prove that i had some semblance of humanity
lurking behind my blank eyes.

those days were dark, angry
as they ate me up, gathering every drop
of my existence like a sponge

fast forward: i'm far away and
mom says the chair is gone.
what should have felt like anguish
feels like nothing.

all the feelings are in the chair
like coins hidden in the couch cushions,
gone before we recognized their existence.

i've reverted back to the days when
i held a permanent position
in between the arms of an
ugly, paisley patterned easy chair,

but now the chair is gone
and i am left to soak up the feelings.
