You sit there still and pick apart
the stitches from a fallen heart,
and thinking of times long passed,
wondering why they went so fast.

Its a long long road to travel,
Oh, Its a long long road to travel,
Its one big ride and then you die,
Now its a long long road you travel.

The pieces fall, get blown away,
you see your hair is turning grey,
and musing on times long gone,
memories caught within a song.

Its a long long road to travel,
Oh, Its a long long road to travel,
Its one big ride and then you die,
Now its a long long road you travel.

You lay there still and sleep so well,
your final note clear as a bell,
and bobo silent at the last
is grieving for the times long passed.

Its a long long road to travel,
Oh, Its a long long road to travel,
Its one big ride and then you die,
Now its a long long road you travel.
Thought I'd have a bash at writing a blues song.

i told you "good night, i love you".
yet
i am not sleeping.

i am listening to the stars sing a song

a note
for every time i have thought of your fair, blush-drunk skin and
sweet, tender soul
melting and mixing with mine at the brush of fabric and shoulders and loud laughter in a space too public.
but i don't care.
i don't think you do either.

it might take four shots of ***** to feel that way again.
but
i only need to see you smile
and i know next morning i'll have a lovestruck hangover
and be changed for the next week.

this is the reason why
we should never, ever get married.
unless
this is simply what no one ever told me about real, raw, love
that hits you like a train
the cargo is sugar
bleeding red roses
and now i don't have to buy twelve at the store for nineteen ninety-nine.
first autumn chill freezing my toes inside my shoes while i wait after knocking at your front door
(we're going to the nice restaurant downtown.)
waking up to a tornado warning at five AM and my first thought is if you're okay,
opening the kitchen windows to the smell of fresh rain and you're texting me pictures of the rainbow.

falling asleep at long last

and at long last dreaming of you.

the stars are singing a song
and in my dream, curled up close next to you

i am singing too.
for the one and only Levi S. i love you so much and pray for the wisdom as often as I can to love you the best I can, by the grace of God, for now
and for eternity
even if it means someday letting you go on earth, or hopefully maybe even spending a true eternity. Who knows? ❤

touching it is
hearing the song
still standing strong
but this is a trap
cause rap you love
don't blame above

the singer sings
an angel, no wings
brave she is
a crowd doesn't sit

she continues on
singing with her voice
hearing that note
frozen like a bot
quiet I got

eyes from side
to side
that's when I know
panicking slow
I no longer frown

stop it
no tears
I have no fear

weak I am
please
don’t see me ma’am

rubbing my eyes...
nothing happened
right?
I am strong
won’t lose for long
So I heard the song 'Ice Cream Man' by Raye, and music always touches me, just like everything does....

But I can’t show it, cause you think I'm strong, right?

I keep saying it will be okay
cause you are everything I need these days

you say you're a disappointment
when I think you're a treasure

you say you can't handle everything
when I think you already do

you say you're not atlas…
when I think you’re my sky

I look at your face
you hit me with your eyes
and I understand that
it's hard to be

you ask for help
and I waited
for this moment
longer than I could remember
begging to help
someone
who wanted to dive
and drown
ending life

cause I believe
sometimes there are those beautiful things
down in the sea
coral they name
deep down you’ll see

and I believe
you can get lost in their beauty
but if you stay too long
you will drown
before you even feel you’ve gone down

and I believe
that admiring the beauty of the darkness isn't the fall
but touching is, when you lose it all

you say you're weak
when I think you're strong

you say you want love
a reaching hand
when I just hope
mine is enough

and I believe
oh I believe
that
I just need to try
even when
trying feels like drowning tho
Based on the song "You Say" by Lauren Daigle
I know this song is about reaching out to God.
But I just thought....
Sometimes,
we want a person to help us so badly, thinking that person will fix everything. But what if that person is just trying?
Just doing something in the hope it will fix, not knowing what’s right or wrong,
just… trying

Let's do this
Let's do this
Let's find our way all through this

Let's do this, let's do this, yeah yeah.
Let's do this! This is a self-encouraging song from June. Motivate yourself again and again :)

The rugose skin has helped me see better.
And every time, as now, I close my eyes,
The dreams become less vivid of your tender,
And I can see behind those sweet old lies.

The music gets me going; I wonder where it leads.
I still keep those **** letters up my sleeve,
And notes that kept me warm are burnt by your own words.
They don't tell any stories anymore.

Salient pace, turned to a race,
Keeps me moving still and in time.
I invented a machine that would make me old and real;
You, I left as young and past behind.

Someday, I'll sit by the river
Where all the promises were made.
And as I close my eyes, I won't make a sound,
Because there won’t be a flicker
Of my thoughts trailing away
To the day I said "I want you" in reply.
A song. 19.02.25

The snow falls thick outside,
its quiet weight presses against the windows.
Let it snow, let it snow
but the cold feels heavier this year.

The fire crackles softly,
but it can’t quite chase the shadows away.
The tree stands tall,
but its lights seem dim,
flickering faintly like memories
too distant to reach.

Silent night
but the silence has a weight to it,
a hum that fills the room,
reminding you that stillness doesn’t mean peace.

The room is warm,
yet it feels like something is missing,
a hollow that the carol of the bells can’t fill.
We sit together,
but the distance between us stretches
like the snow gathering outside,
quiet and inevitable.
an interpretation of the popular Christmas song which incorporates references to other songs
Rain is
The dance of intertwined souls,
Whispers of lovers beneath moonlight,
An eternal prayer of love and boundless giving.
Nature’s song in muted syllables,
A kiss of passion and beauty upon the earth.
The embryo of new life,
A promise of roses and tulips yet to bloom.
A liberation of the mind—from the chains of fear and stress.
A call to awakening,
A beginning with a rebirth of hope.
The essence of life—God’s sacred water.

I could write a song about how the world goes round and round
I could sing about how my life goes up and down
Every word is like a snapshot of my soul
What I dream, what I love and what I like to hold
When I sing about the part that makes it all come true
The world would know everything I love about you

You’re the one that holds me up, when the world puts me in a spin
You’re the reason when I fall down, that I want to get up again
When you hold me in your arms, the world just goes away
Another night of your sweet love and I can face the day

With your love in my heart, the world doesn’t stand a chance
The band is playing our sweet song, come on baby let’s dance
The world may go round and round, as life goes up and down
I can’t wait another day, for your love to come back around

The world will twist and turn its way, night to day again
It might put me down so low, I might not ever win
Holding you can stop the world and make me feel alright
You don’t have to stay too long, just get me through the night

When the sun comes up again, your love will be with me
You will be the song I sing; you will be the light I see
All day long I’ll think of you, your love shines so bright
When the daylight fades to dark, I will have you for the night
Take me for the night again, hold me in your arms
Keep me safe and warm, sooth me with your charms
You’re the one I sing about; you make it all come true
To the world I sing everything I love about you
Just another love song. Oh wait, didn't they write a song about that?

If I was a melody
Then you would be the harmony
Cause you would be the part of me I lack

And if I was the moon above
Then you would be the sun I love
Yeah you would be the light that I reflect

And I don’t know what I would do without you
All I know is this

The stars could die a million miles away
The earth could shake and cities blaze
Still I would love you—fire, snow or rain
I’d hold you, keep you safe from all the pain
A song draft I finished but abandoned
