After the sunset I hide
Nothing can hurt me there
No tears to be shed
No flesh to be torn

The castle shields me from the war
Prevents me from hurting
Even if just for a little while

The castle is what I love most
Kissing the dark of the sky
Dancing in the moonlight
Even if just for a little while

Making me look up from my scars
Getting me to dwell on the little piece of life left in me
In the castle, I am alive, I am home
Even if just for a little while

When the sun goes up
I have to return
To the hell I was born in
Getting beaten to filaments

All the hate flows back in me
Insulating me
Dragging me down deeper and deeper
Burning me to ash

In the dark heat I long
To the cherry nights under the stars
And in the dark paradise I prance
Under the bright glazing sun

she laughs, she smiles, she pretends.
but if you look a little closer,
stare a little intently,
you can see the cracks on her features,
the upward grin,
is really just upside down.

if you listen a little closer,
hear the soft gasps of murmurs,
you can hear her soft cries that echoes,
into the relentless sea,
put your ears on her chest,
and listen to her heart cracking,
piece by piece.

if you ask her what's wrong,
she'll shrug her shoulders,
a ghost of a smile displayed before you,
and she'll let out a hollow chuckle,
and ask you if you're crazy,
then reassure you that she's fine.

if she catches you peeking at her,
she'd offer you a shy grin,
just to make you
believe that
she's
ok

but don't fall for it,
for a professional
is always good at
their profession.
and hers is mere
pretend.
i fell for it.

Lies are nice
The essence of lies is to hide truth’s true form of purity or defamation, considering the protection it entails for countless reasons.
Lines of lies by smiles to eyes each side a blind side of layer, reason, caption of safety that remained fiction.

lip-gloss smiles,
cracked, glassy and clear,
smiled from meadows while imagining-
imagine white summer linens,
dark denim shorts and wind-whipped hair,
short and sweet.

long silver chains, shining shells,
music lining up with a girl’s heartbeat,
who desperately wishes for once
that it was warm
and the stars opened their hearts,
and indie bands played at festivals in lavender fields.

ignore the fact that we’re all alone,
trying to brush off the pain,
shedding tears of contrition,
because we gave up lip-gloss kisses long ago,
along with the hand that ran through our short hair.

pretend you’re alone,
but on a skiff,
with bright white sails,
wearing windy linens,
eating soft ice-creams,
waving to the fishermen off the island.

really, you’re alone,
alone alone,
missing the feeling of intertwined hands,
a creaky old swing-set, swinging
in the prairie winds.
Your eyes never lied
Though your smile did;

Often.

Your upturned lips
A sordid grin
But your eyes;

Haunted.

Flashing teeth
Bright and white
But your eyes;

Cold.

Your eyes never lied
But your smile did;

Often.
im glad to have an outlet for my thoughts.
well?
it's been one hell of a year.
most times it felt like all my limbs were attached to horses,
all running in opposite directions.
other times,
i felt like i was lying atop a cloud.
how many tears spilled.
and giggles shared.
i'm just happy to be alive.
wishing for a better 2019.
oh, the damage to be done to this soul
should the smile be evasive
elusive
feigned
why so unwilling to risk
if the smile not be immediate and sure
and without doubt
i have lost so many
to doubt
i am unwise in the ways of love
convinced that the connection i feel
is a false sign
that you are just being kind
to a lonely soul
what can i do when i fear my words will push you away
rather than pull you in
short of a whispered  'i love you' from your lips
i remain as lost as a glance in the dark

They are smiles,
they are walls falling down,
doors opening,
riddles melting into joy.

Delicate like butterflies
smiles are a vibration.
They enters in You
through your eyes
to becomes sky,
and light.
