I find similarities,
between society and cigarettes;
filtered and poisonous,
deadly, but yet so hard to quit and leave,
addictive.

i've never been one to have the desire to always live in a small town
to know the story of everyone
and to have the map of the town tattooed to my palm
i've always liked the idea of unknowing
to not always know what's two streets away
to not know everyone in the city
and i've always enjoyed the beauty of it all
in a small town you will run out of views and sights eventually
but in a city, they are infinite
when its constantly changing you can see everything newly
new lights, new faces, new buildings, new streets
change to some can be intimidating
but change to me is something of beauty
and to prefer that over similarity is not wrong of me

I've always had the urge to live somewhere bigger than me
something larger than life i suppose
and It's the night that has shown me this
Once the streetlights turned on and we roamed the streets
I fell in love
Small towns only hard stars and similar roads
The cities held more to me
Was it wrong to fall in love with streetlights?
if only i could insert a picture here. I took the coolest picture of the view from my hotel tonight.

If ever there was a riddle she was it.

A puzzle that you were never certain you had all the pieces to.

Now to be honest, that is the most unique thing in all the world, unduplicated.

The uniqueness is a mystery we want to solve, but people are not for solving they are for loving.

Each on to their own a snowflake, cut only once, but only ever seen crashing downward to the surface.

Mysteries, puzzles, riddles, people; they are unique, just like everything else we experence.
As different as we seem to be platitudes apart we are all learning experiencing life and it is our differences that make us unique yet since we are all unique we are all somewhat the same.

Delusions and Euphoria;
Love and Mania

As long as this sun shines,
As long as this heart beats,
I have my goal set,
My back against commitment.

Grasping onto truth,
Believing in what's real,
Travelling along the sidelines,
Finding people who shares the same mind.
We haven't even met each other in person, but I hope it'll work out fine in a few days!

You see where we're different,
But I see where we're not.

And maybe that's a dangerous way to be,
But I think my ****** bleeding heart would rather go out this way.

Don't you see where we're the same, too?

We all live by the same philosophies,
Protect what is ours.

But what if we protected each other?
What if we were kind of kind to one another?

Show empathy and understanding,
Humans are much too wrapped up in being
"Individuals"
That we'd rather be bad and cruel and knock each other down
Than be the kind of individuals
We actually need.

And in our misunderstanding
Of each other and our similarities,
It saddens me to say,
We become even more
The same.
Food for thought!

It amazes me
That we are made
The same way
With our eyes
Our mouths
And our hearts,
Yet we are so unique
In the way we see,
How we speak
And how we
Love.

You and I and our similarities,
Bridge us at the midway divide.
Though the worlds soundly sleep,
From you or them I cannot hide.
I am seen through by your kind eyes,
Though how this can be.
To me has remained a surprise,
I am grateful but quite at a loss.
When in the end I pay the cost.

"Do you want to be with me"
sorry I don't know what to say--
as I hold their hand, it ripples
it is the rush of anxiety
but feels like water combing through my hands
as I get shampoo out of my hair; in the shower.

There is a tremble in their breath
reminding me of catching droplets of water
in the canal of my ear
and having to tilt my head
for them to drop back into obscurity.

Their smell is fresh an aroma so soothing
feeling the clean scent of oranges and apples
a flourishing sample I briefly enjoy
when I pour a quarter sized dollop of shower gel.

Their eyes are watery
while they struggle to hide the parchness of their smile
is a somber reflection of hot water running out
and not having any heat left to turn towards
so the only option
is to get out of the shower.

Their words are mumbled, but I can understand "why"
trying to hide the shakiness in their hands and breath
I can't help but imagine the endorphin's frantically
trying to take control; to fight or flight--
A similar feeling I have when rushing
to get warm after a cold shower.
Even showers have to end.  Comparisons.
