Lunar Oct 2016
perhaps what brings you to me
is the moon's pull
of the ocean's waves:
you, my tides

i'll catch you
when you fall
and i'll hold on to you
when you rise

but this is only possible if
the earth, sun and moon--
our entire universe--
aligns for us
live in the sea,
love by the moon

sometimes i like to imagine myself as a mermaid, and you, the tides

PS. there's a real "Mermaid Moon", or aka "Titan", and it's Saturn's moon!

A sleight of hand, and a boot that fits. Tightly; so tight a long walk seemed a step backwards.
So he walked, around the rings of Saturn, given the spins. He dances, a waltz for Venus.
He manages to steal his own heart, before she can.
Been a year, and I'm still here. If that isn't something, then I don't know what is?

P.S. If you caught some of the inspiration, then you are one of the reasons I write.

My feelings run through her hair
An exquisite sensation in the daytime
Bonded by the wall of charm
We just can't get over ourselves
And that's the beauty of it all
So we carry on into the night
Looking for ways to refine
Which Sister Neptune takes care of
Glistening downtown's highs
Over the rustic romance
That shrouds Saturn's sighs

A gas giant
nine times the size
of the planet we call home.
175,000 miles of ice rings,
spanning almost the same distance
between our world and the moon.
With the ability to contain
764 Earths,
Saturn makes our planet seem
microscopic.
Our world
is so large to us,
yet so small
to other planets.
And even smaller
to the universe.
Seemingly endless solar systems,
galaxies,
and light years
composed of dark energy
and matter
make you look
insignificant.
this is another poem i wrote last semester and it's about saturn, my favorite planet.
afraid to close your eyes at night
you think of the pieces painted on
the back of your eyelids
less like Van Goghs Starry Night
more like Francisco Goya's Saturn's Sun
the walls of your mind holding black paintings
Quinta del Sordo
you are engulfed in them forgetting your roots
roots that have been torn from the earth
from a hand that now wraps around your waist
pulling, pulling, pulling
you awake and realize the hands are from a girl
who paints cherry blossoms in your mind
instantly you feel warmth rush through you
as you press your tear stained cheek
against hers
for my girlfriend who has really bad nightmares

Gravity is depressing!
I would rather fly
exchange my shoes for a glide
A million places to go
watch me soar
now life's a bit interesting
blissful flips and somersaults
just at times when I'm quite sad
or just because I can
and you can too.

Gravity is depressing;
Gravity is expensive!
Take my car for instance
the one I see in dreams for instance
Or the stress of sending up a satelitte
a job that 10 flying men would enjoy
So it's a yes for space exploration
Would have been easier if
we all went to Mars sometime
visit Saturn for summer
orbiting around it's many rings
of cos there will be a warning around mercury
I hear you might mistake it for the sun

Gravity is boring!

the snow is coming down like it's been waiting all these years to suffocate us all
I was strung out between the edge of Saturn and you
there were lapses of reality that would even bring the moon to it's knees
I could hear the cry of the wolf getting ready to swallow the sun
you could feel the cold ****** tears
and hear the cries falling from the sky

the stars were hung in the sky by their necks after the light had left*

drifting
the coldness was hard to fight
I was struck with convulsions of cold
you pushed me further into the abyss we laid in
I let go
and I could feel myself sinking slow
further in the black water thick as sludge
I've never felt such silence
your face to mine
we were porcelain and I could feel time again
you kept saying "you're okay"
and I kept saying your name
I could see things on my eyelids glow
I told you "I don't know"
