In the swift wind.
My hands set sail in a vast
Emptiness.
Weary feet pointed left.
My heart steadfast to the right.
Her heart wild as the wind.
I sailed beside her.

Capsizing in her silk wave.
She was far from quiet, an abundance of thoughts. Opinionated from one wave to the next.
Without a single struggle.
I sank.

I left my supplies by the mast.
Becoming easier to swallow.
Everything scattered.
Topsy turvy in fascination.
She kissed me and I never looked back.

Put me in a pinewood box,
And set me near the tide,
Let my body float to sea,
On the waves I'll ride,

In my heart I'm a pirate,
I'll fly the black flag high,
I'll settle for no less than-
The earth and sea and sky,

I've had my fill of normal,
And I'll never settle for,
The things sheep are seeking,
Inland, far from the shore,

Just give me my ***,
And a ship with a crew,
We'll set sail for Horizon,
And seek out Skies of Blue,

But if here I die,
Don't bury me under-
The ground I so greatly detest,
Please know that I know best,

Just put me in a pinewood box,
And set me at low tide,
Watch as my body floats to sea,
On these waves I will ride,
A pirate whose been glorified.

We will sail away
on the wings of the moonlight
over the lakes of the blue
we'll cross the starry nooks.

We will go, we’ll go far beyond
where the flow is musical
every air beat plays the lute.
You and me we’re only one
who says we’re two?

Falling, not fallen
She was no man’s
But a nomad
She was the comet
Finally caught
In His gravity

Her celestial body
Lured beneath
Her stellar sails
By a solar flare
Lowering anchor
Clive Blake Jul 2017
Let me sail away forever,
Let me cast off from the shore,
Let the swirling mists engulf me,
Till reality rules no more,
Let me sail the mighty oceans,
Let me pass by cliffs anew,
Let me navigate a passage
Through the rolling veil of blue,
Let my anchor never hold me,
Let my sails always billow out,
Let me sail away forever, and
May I never turn about.

The boy who waves the boats from shore
But never dares set sail
Doesn't get lonely.
There are always boats leaving,
Always boats coming back.
He'll help load the ships
With all they need and more
Then step off as they go
And stay just on the shore.
Every passenger knows the boy
And no one knows why he's there.
There's a dock he'll walk
That extends a little into the sea
Where he sits and speaks
To fishing boats that come to visit
But only for a short time,
His toes in the water.
He can swim, and sometimes
Someone will fall from a boat
He'll jump in and swim to them,
Pull them up, be sure they're okay
Only to swim back to the dock.
The boy who waves the boats from shore
But never dares set sail
Gets lonely sometimes.
Introducing a character you already know.

I heard
the first sound of silence
since I fed their secret string
in secret to the old maw
calmly promising
deliverance
in exchange for
cohesion
by way of
senseless adherence.

While I was calm --
While I was calm
Silence saliently sailed
from me

They set their course to the distant edge,
so far, the flat Earth
anxiously appeared
very real, certainly sang
and said

"Should you continue raising white flags
I shall continue blending until you lose
the volume and you never hear me."

For the first time since the last time,
I rode the shallows
through the violet night
on trembling shadows
in low light,
in low light
in silence

I shot a signal flare from my breast,
wide to receive the worst
solitary reflection

Ready to be quiet, invite
my vibes to drive in
disparate directions

Written in complete silence.

Crushing silence.
Once you lose it, you may think it will never again invite you to its stage.
Once you're back against the gate with the world's weight bearing,
Once it's yours again, oh, the excitement, oh,
the unbearable pain.
