It's cold out there tonight make sure your pets and people are inside,
If you have extra room in your house there is no reason for homelessness,
if you can't take them in,
if you could offer a meal or some help,
a ride to somewhere,

Some words advice or places to get help,
nothing is too small when it comes to true kindness.
I was once homeless,
I was given a penny by a sweet young boy,
he so desperately wanted to help,
and I,

At that moment,
I was rich,
and I don't know,
why,
but it might have saved my life.

Always faithful,
Always giving.
This treasure with a

the further life progresses
the more it beams stresses
the more I yearn for peace
a road with no holes or grease
a broken siblinghood
I now yearn for Paraclete
my faith in humans deplete.
so bring tonight the gleaming dream
of a furry friend who understood
the erase button of esteem
and so my dreams flow like whipped cream
in the starry starry nights of what would seem
like orange cats make the best friends
tabby kings and big boy mends
the tears of mine dear feline heart
....
or a hustling panting brown eyed brook,
a long nosed lad reads like book
who smells and licks my aching heart.
....
my colourbook waits to be filled with love
of furry lives from each colour above.
Your ears are like black silk
Your tail is long and proud
Your paws are white as milk
Your fur is as fluffy as a cloud

Right foot, left foot, right
Up and down on my chest
By my side all through the night
Helping me to get my rest

Your nose against my cheeks
Wiping away my tears
Side by side for 512 weeks
Companions for over 10 years

Sniffing your neck is comforting
I don't wanna live without that
Without you I will be suffering
Figaro, my beloved cat
My cat just got diagnosed with an illness. He is my entire world, yes I'm a crazy cat lady, and I am completely heartbroken.

A quick passing of a faint sound...reached my ear
A whisper of a whimper
Floated...in the silence of the midnight's atmosphere
Over coffee...i listened harder,
One minute, it was there
The next moment...it was gone

Morning quickly came
But, it just wasn't the same
Before noon was over,
The "weirdly quiet" backyard
Became crazy...with activities...

The whimpering started again....then stopped,
Followed by tiny whining voices
My pet's eyes were so alert...her looks shifting
From one pinkish creature to the other(s)
Like...she was doing the counting, herself...

Last time i looked, there were only three,
But, then...three became five!
Apart from Larry, Curly and Moe
I  need two more names.....
No, wait! I need three more, for
I now see six white, squirming square-faced puppies!

If i had things my way
My backyard would extend further, wider....i'd
have eight dogs, a mix of labradors and retrievers
An all female band...to  roam and guard the place
So that my pet dog, wouldn't have to be
As big and heavy as a pregnant ewe
Never again to suffer....the pain of giving birth to six puppies
Never again to whimper, in the stillness of one dark midnight...

"ever think of babies as pet humans?
I see some on leashes, dressed up in
clothes they didn't choose to wear.  some
photographed under steaming white
lights completely ignorant of what it
is they're doing.  is it defined in their
tiny bodies?  yes.  and they're doggish
grasp of speech.  everyone is a mutt,
from the cradle to the kennel, it's true."

Cats are cool,
They regally rule.
You think you own them,
But they own you.

Born as kittens they are so cute.
Before you know it, off they scoot.
Baby faces and big blue eyes,
Dopamine surges, what a surprise.

Pouncing on you as you walk through the door,
Kitty is lightning over that floor.
How we love to watch them play,
Brightening up an otherwise dull day.

The older cats look on with disdain:
They’d much rather use their brain.
More to the point cats love to sleep,
Waking only to take the odd peep.

So independent yet love a stroke:
Lots of purring you’ll invoke.
I’m not too sure of their table manners
But they’ve just got to be fans of canners.

I’m not too keen on them bringing a present,
Even though they might think that it’s a pheasant.
They can be cruel when they hunt,
But that’s their job, let’s be blunt.

Most popular pets, that’s for sure.
Feeling stressed? A cat is your cure.

I just spoke to you this morning.
You sat elegantly, just like a queen.
Yet you left us with no warning.
Now you are nowhere to be seen.

No more strange looks behind my back.
No more tiny sounds with that crooked tooth.
No more fur coated in midnight black.
No more eyes that flash like a photo booth.

The two there are left, what about them?
They don’t know you are gone forever.
Cars combined with speed is what I condemn.
You deserved so much better.

On this mild Monday in July.
Your memory now will be kept.
If I knew, I would have said proper goodbye.
Your death is hard to accept.

Your spot is now empty.
Like an important missing piece.
You were so sweet and friendly.
I hope you rest in peace.
One of my cats died this morning. It got hit by a car. The only positive thing is, that she died right away with no suffering. Her name was Crystal which is why I named this poem "Crystallized" since I thought it would fit perfectly for her.

An Irish couple buy some fertilised duck eggs and they hatch.
But then they’re missing!
The cat is licking her lips.
Oh No!
They follow the cat to her snug in the barn.
She too has given birth.
Snuggled beneath the cat’s protective paws
Are suckling kittens and DUCKLINGS!

Had those dear ducklings hatched an hour earlier
Or later
They would have been cat food.
But around the birthing time Missus Cat was only a Mother,
Mothering anything that moved.

Mother Nature breeds such Motherly instincts.
A thing of Wonder.
A story that happens to be True.

Since then those ducks grew up
But still followed their “Mother”
Everywhere she went (within reason).
An unshakeable bond,
Lasting for ever.
