See your dream and name it square.
Put in daily action. Don't just sit and stare.
Why spend so much time talking about things,
When you could take action and enjoy what that brings?
It's when your talking is mapped by your doing
That your future is one actually worth pursuing.

Yea, I did make a mistake
Does it have to halt me like a brake?
Do I have to let it feed on me like steak?
Will I dwell on it till my life is at risk?

You said I failed
Well, that doesn't mean I'm frail
You can't get me off this rail
My goal is to accomplish this holy grail

I didn't get it right the first time
I'll do it one more time
Not right? One more time
I won't stop until I say,
"I got it right this time!"

I am used to trying something once and giving up.
I never tried anything more than once.
Unless it was a video game.
I spent countless hours on playing games.
Then reality hit and I got tossed into the real world.
Bills, bills, bills.
Work hard and you can do anything you want.

That part of life I can deal with it.
The social aspect, what do I do?
Is this the right thing to say?
Is that how you handle situations?

Persistence is key, they told me.
You have to practice to get good at anything.
You won't know, if you don't try.

For some the rules are borrowed.
Others keep them to swallow.
In any case,
today is the day you awaken.
For too long have you sat there afraid.
All of your life you stayed in the shadows.
You followed what you were told.
Feeling the need to please and be accepted.

Today is the day when the pendulum swings.
Its the day when it swings and you are
no longer hanging to its motions.
Its energy in random motion,
its random emotions.

Because now its time to rise up and feel your life.

Really, its time to fulfill life,
to experience its boundless seas and skies.
A new age, a new era is dawning.
It is your time.

It s your time to accept your goals
It is your time to go experience the sensual nature
of glory, freedom, and happiness because
no matter what, you deserve it.

You deserve to feel good.
You deserve to have what you want.
Ignore your doubts and go forth.  

Today is the day you awaken.
Today is the day you stand up.
Today is the day you become a true adult.
Today is the start the great age.
The age of intentional self love.

whose life was a steady blaze of light?

There are many in my memory
with striking moments
of blaze
revealed in little decisions to love
despite pain and suffering.

My cousin Gary
had a persistent neck pain
so bad he had a constant bow
but gladly answered my calls for help
with my stubborn computer.
His wife wouldn’t tell
but I’m sure like all of us
he was selfish and ego driven
from time to time.
That pain: a cancerous tumor
that finally took him and his cheer from us.

I’ve had flashes and flickers
but a steady blaze?

Is there one person you know
with the steadiness
of that light?

Why did you speak to me?
I was doing all I could
to be unapproachable.
I was determined to be unlovable
But you, that didn't stop you.
Why?

This girl I know
She is just ... like a book.

Her cover is so beautiful
And yet ... forever changing looks.

But this girl's beauty
Is unlike any that you've seen.

It really comes from all those pages
Those pages in between.

Each page tells a story
Some of sorrow oh so sad.

But for every one of those that you read
You'll find one of better time's she's had.

This girl I know
She rules a realm that no one ever see's.

This girl will never show it to you
And she will never show it to me.

This girl is tough
And dauntless and strong.

This girl she sings
The most beautiful songs.

This girl will never let you see her cry.

This girl will never answer you why.

This girl she doesn't need wings to fly.

Because this girl ... She is the sky.

You will find her overhead
Every day and every night.

Her sun will warm the hardest heart
And her stars they shine so bright.

If you should ever catch her and open that book
You'd better read as fast as you can.

Standing still in any one place
Is never in her plans.

But, this girl I know isn't running from something
And it's not that she's some bird on a wire.

She isn't blindly running through time, you see
This girl I know ... She has a world to set on fire.
