Solemn music box
Singing heart of wood and wire
Bought to play for her
Sophia Margarita Jan 2019
A melody
Passes through my soul
With  much ease and calmness,
Across all the pieces
That make me whole.

Puts together
The distant parts
Of my heart and mind,
That time
Managed to pull apart,
But finding myself,
Redirected to unite again.

This melody
Is greatly appreciated,
As it represents
What we are
And what we could be.
My mind
Opens.
My heart
Remembers.
All of those
Magnificent memories
Flash through my mind
At the instant
When that melody
Passes Through
my heart.

Life is a river.
Music is its flow.

Sometimes swimming,
Sometimes drowning,
I enjoy its melodies.

This life river takes turns,
Scenes change on both its banks,
Sometimes they are colorful and bright,
Sometimes they are gloomy and grey.

But I will trust it and flow with it,
enjoying all its scenes,
for I know in my heart, that,
all of it is just a play,
just a play,

And this harmony,
this melody,
is what is true...

You are a complex rhythm
I want to dance to endlessly.
My favorite song,
permanently on repeat.
Hooked first by how catchy the tune was,
But now completely captivated
by every lyric I memorize
And how my fingers tap along to every melody.
I fell in love with your song
And now, I never want to hear anyone else's.

Her essence like a fleeting dream
floating through the ether of spacetime and
            grasping my heart so ******-y

Perfection wrapped in satin, bow down
independent queen
no need for a crown
she knows she's my everything
and she speaks to me like no one else
no other being alive, just her in the moment
and she bestows upon me
an illustrious golden token

A being angelic, a punisher of poets
                        but a pen a weapon, a paper a field
My mind a war of how you make me feel

against the blanket of black
move swiftly
like an aruarian dance
"Come with me" she whispers
and yanks the strings
that bind me to her
she's unforgiving, hands around my words
and we form a fragile melody
with us so valiant, we concur
I wrote this for a poetry class I took last year and it is one of my most precious and proudest works I've ever created. I chose this to be the first poem to share because I think it shows the level of skill I'm at in writing at the moment lol

Sadly, I've forgotten the melody
King Nov 2018
I close my eyes yet
I know I can not sleep
My mind is awake with
The constant memory

I see his graceful figure
In every single dream
My body aches to hold him
His touch is haunting me

I close my eyes yet
I only see his sweet
Face looking brightly
Back at me

we are dreamers of dreams
dancing in our minds and singing
with our hearts to a melancholy song
o'melody
speak to me
sweet works and put me to dream sweet dreams
not my particular style of writing but just an old poem from a long time ago i wrote about a song i heard.
Brynn S Nov 2018
The rain bird whistles in my ear
The boustrophedon melody fallowed loud and clear
Breach my windows and ruin my sleep
A ****** delight my eyes do weep
Cradle my head in wretched screams
Erase and memorize fallen dreams
Trapped in dusk my eye does wake
Migraines conjured will soon dissipate
