Confined in a corner, trapped in my own mind.
Lost in a labyrinth, that no one can find.
Voices shouting, ears ringing.
People staring, eyes stinging.

Drowning in claustrophobic despair,
Screaming but there's nobody there.
They all say yes, and I say no.
Oh, why can't you just let me go?

In dreams we are lost
deep in labyrinthine mazes
walls built in our mind...

Surprises hidden
mysteries abound within
waiting to be found...

We may not finish
but we can always escape
through daybreak's doorway.
Another dream Haiku this was for my 2016 dream journal written January 6th 2016

Keep moving forward
through all the twists and turns,
and avoid the ghosts that haunt you
until you have the strength and power
to confront them head on.

Life is a maze,
but there will always be a place for you
and you will never be lost.

Keep moving forward,
sometimes backwards
and side to side,
as even Pac Man had a soul mate.

The darker the darkness,
the crazier the thoughts.
That little piece of meat,
a sectioned off part of my brain breeds pain.
It specializes in it
and in reminders.
Like a calendar
but this one ties you in
your own personal electric chair.
Each reminder,
Each charge,
Each word
reverberates throughout your entire body.
It brings pain.
Brain pain,
the only thing I truly know.
The only thing I was force to learn.
I wish I could unlearn the things in my brain,
remove the whole thing
and start from scratch.
Must find a way out,
Need to find my way out
of this inescapable maze of my mind.
Even if all that is left to remember me by
is a splatter on a wall.
These are 2am thoughts. Starting to realize I have a love/hate relationship with what lies in the dark and darkness itself.

As your fingers run down my back
I exhale as if it were my first breath
in years

I shiver but not from the cold
you send a shock through my system
now I'm feeling whole

We lock eyes and in that moment
we know what I've always known
that this is something special

Life built a maze to protect my heart
but somehow you knew the way
how to bypass the Minotaur
the sharks in the water
the claws in the dark
You found a home inside
Without me knowing I still had space for you

As your fingers caress my face
I nuzzle against your palm
in a way I'd never admit
I've wanted this possibility of vulnerability

If you ever grew wings, to get away
I'd slay the sun
to keep your wax from falling apart
rather than allowing death to tear us apart
kinda went off in a different direction

Some days,

Things go your way

Some days,

Others, you want to cry all day.

When the worst days come

And trust me, they will,

Just start to hum,

And keep going over that hill.

When it feels like the world,

Is tumbling down,

Deep into the underworld,

And you think you may drown.

Hold your head up high,

And just push on,

Keep your face to the sky,

And focus thereon.

When everything around,

Feels like it's ablaze,

While you are fear-bound,

Trapped in a maze.

Think back to the best days,

When you saw the future bright,

For that future is always,

Just within your sight.

I am but a rat in a maze
Round and round I go
Through corners and dead ends
Trying to find my way back to you
And it's not easy
But it's worth it
I just hope you'll be waiting with open arms
When I arrive
If I arrive
