the birds
    do not move

If I could just
catch your voice in the wind
Just to hear it once again
Would it tell me things now and then?
Would it be much of a sin
to want to listen?

My desperate cries led you to ignore me.

You heard me, but chose not to listen.

You left me stuck and confused with the pain from your empty words..

The words of a fragile love song.

I'm left with sadness, caused by your true words.

Don't wait for me, you said.

I guess a fool never learns.

Listen to the rivers run
Your mind with far away

Hear the words of another lover and stay
Be it near or far away
From all others

Focus on the one thing that matters
Until all other matter does fade

As you hark, attend, harken and heed
Be careful not to let the kindest voices
Waiver until they fade and let you slip away
From all others
About sound and listening and truly hearing. How valuable is the latter in life, when the words are a last ditch effort to help.

When I told you I missed you,
and you said,
"It's only been two days".

When I wrote paragraphs,
And exhausted breaths,
Explaining to you,
How much I REALLY liked you,
And you didn't say anything back.

All the times you outright ignored what I said,
As if you couldn't hear me,
And just smothered me with a kiss, instead.

Remember that.

I'm happy I'm out,
But the memories of me staying around,
Begging for your attention are what haunt me.

That's the tricky thing about relationships,
Not knowing what's temporary or permanent,
Because the good memories never go away,
No matter how old they are,
They can feel so recent,
Because we can always relive them.

But always remember,
Just because a person deserved you in the past,
Doesn't mean they will deserve you forever.
Just because they kiss you,
Doesn't always mean they like you.

shhh -
in this sylence
i do listen
to the words
thou hast written

of the nyghte
there was spoken
true heartes' devotion
an 'dayes that followed
brought laughter
now sorrowe
an' in the darkness after
beats a hearte
that is hollowed

what one mustte bare
when the hearte be torn
be there a one that cares ?
'twas all for naught ?
'tis all love forlorn ?

shh -
in this sylence
i do listen
to the words
thou hast written
of true loves disaster
an' the mourning after

i send this note
that alle may read
an' it matters not
if none pay heede
as long as
She Does

this piece was inspired by the poetess "She Does" -

(it was bought out by another poetry site
and no longer has the same format...)

hear me
i will speak clearly,
or clearer still.
you don't
know me,
clearly,
still.
go about this day.
as i remind.
as you read,
from my own voice,
that
i am a girl you never met,
or mustn't have.
i've learnt this now.
and so think of me,
what you will,
or what you have,
or what you feel.
hear me.
hear the truth,
regretfully discovered.
you're wrong about me
or was,
and will be.
