You call yourself an island boy
Though you've barely left the shore.
Still, I can see the resemblance
Because your eyes shine like stars on the water
And you're as steadfast as the cliffs
Buffeted by heaving tides.
Your arms are as warm as the summer sand
And I forget to breath when I watch you sleep
So I feel the peace of drowning
As I'm pulled into the depths of utter devotion
To you.
Happy eighth anniversery honey. I love you.

Stay with me
Is my love not enough?
Do you know that I love you
When I look in your eyes I feel new
You were my spring
You were the river i flowed with
You couldn’t live for me anymore though
I saw your last breath
I saw that you caused it
I felt everything you felt at that exact moment
Farewell
12/20/14

Hatred and Anger
They build up inside,
They bubble and boil
Until they are hard to hide.

Merry Christmas they say
Happy New Year to you
But where is the merry and
Happy I once knew?

Now all the holidays
Are about bigger and better
Now they are crazy
And wilder and wetter.

Buy this gift new
Buy this gift for you
Buy this gift for him
Buy this one, too.

You bought this gift last year
Don't buy it again.
You regifted that one
Don't tell the Johnson's.

Gift cards can be cheezy and
Impersonal.
Handmade cards are much more
Appreciated.

Don't bother my spouse
He can be a louse
Don't bother anyone
In my house.

I'm a btch
It's a cinch
As I stitch
And I pinch.

So you won't get me Christmas
Because I'm a b
tch
But when you act like this
You say it's a cinch.

You treat us like dirt.
You harm and you hurt.
Don't care how you get it
Just get what you want.

You give out hatred
But expect love in return
Your world is upside down
No wonder you get burned.

Again....more from a miserable marriage to my ex husband.
Steve Page Jul 2019
At the rumble of a badger's yawn
At the crack of a sparrow's ****
At the pang of his weakened bladder
That's when he makes his start

With the scrape of greying stubble
With the shine of derby brogues
With a perfect Windsor knot
That's how my husband rolls

At the slam of the paneled door
At the echo of a muttered curse
At the march of polished steps
It's then that I emerge
Heard line 2 and went from there.
Tie the knot from one of you
To commence a life in twenty- two
A couple full of joy and love at heart
Will begin a life that will not part

Marriage joined by two in love
Dreams filled with hopes from up above
Shared opinion by husband and wife
To progress the unending strife

Instilled by principle from their own root
To explore their nature without reboot
Justify thy everyday battles
To ensure a life that will not struggle

Marriage life has its dues
It depends on how two couples strive it through
The two will not foresee how their life will ever be

Happy or sorrow they don't know
Coz the time they have is a temporary burrough
Whatever life brings to them
They will join hands till the end
Its the vows that will hold true
In a marriage life for the two of you

hey future husband, i have a few things to say. i hope that just like this picture, it'll be me next to you when you wake for the day. i know i probably will have some issues with trust and intimacy, so please be patient and gentle with me. i won't always express it in a calm mannered way, but my feelings for you will never decay. despite our hopefully very few rough patches, i know that we'll be okay because our hearts will align and spark up like matches. i can't wait to build a home with you and be there to hear our first child coo. i know this is all kind of cheesy and stupid, but know that i love you and that's something that i will never kid.
hey everyone, i just got bored and decided to write a letter in the form of a poem! i'm slowly growing up and eventually i am going to start looking for someone to spend my life with. plus next year i'm off to college and that means big changes and meeting new people. so that's why this is around, you never know when you'll bump into a potential soul mate :)
Let me taste the sweetness of your breath,
please don't hesitate,
there are no reasons left,
For you to hide from me,
so open up your chest
I mean no judgment of your dear,
to me you are at best.....
When your waking early mornings
when your laughing over loud
when your taking more than your portion
when your shoving in the croud
when your angers got the best of you,
how you raise your voice
how quickly grace can fall from you
as you lose all your poise.
Let me taste your breath
feel no insecurity
please feel no unrest
Always in each passing moment
i see you at your best
my sweet husband

Once upon a time a lovely maiden did her chores
She cooked and cleaned and washed and dried and wiped down all the floors
And though her Lord looked down at her, ironically this man
Would force himself upon her because when you’re Lord you think you can

He used her for his twisted games, he thought it was alright
Sadly she just let it be, so she could feed her son at night
And so it went for years and years, till finally one day
Her son grew up and saw the truth, saying that “this man must pay”

Despite his mother’s cries and pleas, the son could not forgive
He told her she deserved much more, this was not a way to live
His mom, you see, quick to agree, would never punish him
Her heart was her worst enemy, enabling Lord to live in sin

So the son approached the man, he stood much taller than Lord did
As the Lord said “hello boy, you’ve grown so much since just a kid”
“I know,” son said, “it must be strange, to be on the receiving end”
“Of the games you play at night, I bet your wife won’t comprehend”

“Won’t comprehend the things you do, to satisfy your appetite”
“I can’t imagine how a person does this and then sleeps at night”
“At least it doesn’t matter now, because I give what is deserved”
“What’s that,” you ask? “To be frank, I really hate to touch a nerve”

“But since we’re here I will be clear, this might begin to sting a bit”
“I’ve wanted this for oh so long, because you’re such a *******”
“It’s my turn now, so turn around, this will not end quick I must say”
“This won’t be fun, and when I’m done, this broomstick will make sure you pay”
I wrote this to cast a light on abusive relationships and the corruption of those in power.
