A heartfelt thanks to all going
To work on the front line knowing
You are stepping into harms way,
Risking your lives every day
In caring for, and comforting
All those in pain and suffering.
For the fantastic job you do,
Stepping up when we needed you,
For the sacrifices you make
And the daily risks you take,
The country should never forget
We are forever in your debt.
You are true heroes all of you
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you…….

In thousands they stand to face the demon unseen.
Faceless they are but you know who I mean.

Doctors and nurses, shop keepers and drivers,
that give us yet hope that we may yet be survivors.

Churchill once said "so much to so few"
Now in this time we owe that tribute to you.

Without your brave stand then we all would sure fail,
you give cause for hope that we may yet prevail.

You fight for all that we love and those we hold dear,
Our world owes you so much for facing our fear.

It is a debt that in a lifetime I could never repay
with all of my heart, thank you so much, is all I can say.
The world now sees the mighty for who they really are. Those who carry us when we need to be carried. To all of you "essential" people thank you for caring for this non-essential soul.

We call them heroes, send them to fight
armed with plastic armor, much extolled valor.
They are isolated inside the veil of gratitude,
Drafted in a terrible war they never asked for.

We call them heroes, our robust knights
who will slay the beast, shield us from its fury.
We try to forget the open secret that they were,
in fact, robbed of a choice, ****** into glory.

We call them heroes without ever knowing
the face behind their masks and elastic bands.
These worrisome times will come to pass;
meanwhile, we stay inside and wash our hands.

They say our freedom has been stripped away
The limitations on our life increasing by the day
Isolation, the word weighs heavy on the heart
Perspective, could this be your new start?

A century before, most enslaved in war
Freedom, it could only have been hoped for
Pray for those enslaved in this battle of the ages
Let’s close our doors with a smile, for hope is contagious

"I'm taller now"
the building said
"I'm older" the tree replied
"A hundred years ahead!"

"I carry humans"
The building spoke
"Provide shelter too!"
Oh dear Mr. Tree! What do you do?

"I bear fruits"
The tree told
"I'm a home to the birds"
Oh Mr. Building! This is what I do

"Ah! I'm stronger!"
The building argued
"I'm made of bricks and stones
Oh dear Mr. Tree! How strong are you?"

"I've lived the storms"
The tree responds
"On me the flowers bloom!
My dear brother! I'm whey stronger than you"

"It's the humans I carry"
The building added
"The ones that planted you!"
Now who's important? Me or you!

"I allow them to breath"
The tree sighed
"I give them fresh air!
Yet cutting me down
Is their very pride"

The building now was hushed
Not a single word
All his pride crushed
Now it felt absurd!

Times may look like a mess
Staying in home, maybe a stress
The locked doors might irritate you
Surely, the empty shops and streets will too
But have you ever thought
How the poor would be fraught
The ones who may not have a home
Or those who temporarily jobless roam
From education some may be away
For them the skies might be gray
Its good we are stress free
And laying on beds
We read poetry
I hope you guys are laying on a bed and reading poetry😂

Thanks God
Dr Zik's Poetry

Book: Simple Words
Poet: Dr Zik

A lovely and matchless gratitude expressing "Zinet" is in my mind.
Really we all say, "Thanks God".

Energy is so unique
it speaks
straight to the soul and
wraps like ribbons round the bones.

Soft like smoke to touch,
but hot like smoke in the lungs.
You don't need to say too much,
unspoken words say enough.

It's not simply mystical
Einstein said it's empirical
since everything's vibrational;
why do we seal our lips and
claim love is unascertainable?
love

imagine how much love we let pass us by because we don't speak out
