The Holy Nimbuses are just tarnished halos of fool’s gold!
Inspired by 10 word poems by: βέƦẙḽ Dṏṽ, the ******* Rabbi!

If my dreams were made of ice and I had just one wish,
Someone at the top has already set the cities fire to full blast,
Turning everything I hoped for to a puddle, melting it.

What's the point in this life when everything you want
Depends on if they will open the door for you? It seems
To me we are only doing what the rich all would want us to!

Though this sounds like a stupid rant, but notice if you will,
How much it costs for cops to go to a house simply
Because of a stupid argument, REAL justice unfulfilled.

It's happened before and it will happen again, these tools,
They who make all of my dreams disappear with a snap,
The one who has the least integrity is often the one who rules...

there she is all 'innocent' -PLEASE
the funny thing is that she yet still thinks that I don't know
that she was and still is at fault
that she is the reason for all the confusion and drama
the sad thing is that I actually thought that she was
different well I was kind of right- never met anyone
that deceiving
I actually thought that she had my back
that I can count on her that I can trust her
but apparently I was oh so very wrong
that lying little..........................
but life is too precious to waste on fools like that
its not funny and its not acceptable
but yet I still forgive and forget
now I am used to having
another one just coming at me one by one
testing my patience but they don't get to me
as much as they used to
there will always be another one waiting patiently for me
BUT THIS TIME I WILL BE READY!
I have been facing things like this for years now and the cup couldn't hold anymore. like seriously secondary school I expected people to be a little more mature.................. I wish not to announce the person's name publicly but I am sure that most of you know what I mean and there is a line and this person just ran past it

I want her
to not just remember that she is beautiful
but to know it always.

I need her
to love her how I love her -
in all of her ways.

I will only trade gold
for gold.
A story about a breakup that was driven by one person having a poor self-image; which makes it very difficult for anyone else to love them.

It's raining when I saw him
He's not afraid to get wet
I called him but he smiled
Then he opened his arms
While calling my name

Come and let us dance
There's music in the rain
Feel the warmth inside my heart
Come on, hold my hand

We are two fools in love
But we really don't care
We're not afraid to get wet
I want to hold his hands forever
While whispering my name

Come, my baby girl
Hear our love song from the rain
Feel the love inside my heart
Come on, hug me tight

We are two fools in love
Yes, we are two fools
And we are so much in love
We are so much in love...
There's  much love in the rain...
You're royalty
In your own kingdom
Tables lined with spirits
Because you love to drink your dinner

You're rich with emotions
Only emotions I'm afraid
For your treasure is all fools gold
Though it's tried so hard to prove its worth

You're a king covered in lies
Drunk on the life you could've had
Perched on a throne of hard-luck
Holding onto pyrite for dear life

But you are the golden man

This town is crumbling.
With dust turning into ashes.
A judgmental life built
to the apparent lackluster rhyme.

Trembling lips, forced proximity.
Eyes on fire, the vile toxicity.

Trouble.
A simple motto to live by...
Mockery of shared stupidity.
Continually circling
to the timeless tune
of a love struck fool.

A fool, within the rubble.
A fool of love, scavenging for a heart.
A love-sick-fool, standing with empty arms.

Love, it can't be held together with gum found on the bottom of a shoe.
Nor can it survive with lies told by you.

We all wear masks,
Some are elegant,
Some are deviant,
And some bizarre-looking.

We all wear masks,
Be it brilliant or dull,
Extravagant or simple;
Some a smile, some gloomy,
And some a frown.

For we are all theatrical;
We go about our masks,
We don them very well,
We want our faces kept hidden,
That no sunlight could touch them.
And we display ourselves,
That this is the real me, you, us.

We always look in the mirror,
Adoring our masks,
Obsessing over it,
Till we completely forget
What our true faces look like.
So we state to impress,
As we gather in a masquerade,
Dancing like devils in the night of lies.

One day you'll realize that it was not love that broke your heart, but your perception of it

That when the tidal waves crashed upon the shore you were the one who followed them back to sea
Hoping that the waves would drift you off to a place like the one you created in your head

But love is not a land of make believe and fairytales
Yet we try so hard to find the same emotion we see in a movie or read in a book

We are searching for a feeling that someone else created because they were daydreaming about the perfect kind of love
But perfection is a figment of the imagination

And until the day we realize how much power three words can withhold we will never truly know what love is or how it feels

Because we are fools desperate for a feeling we think we need
dull-eyed mortal Oct 2014
How ordinary they seem
these dull-eyed cattle
not a spark
nor a glimmer
of intelligence
-is there more to life?
they wonder
the answer was right there
in front
of their small beady eyes
eyes that could not
see beyond the
mundane world
they chose to
inhabit
to pollute
-is there something wrong?
they ask.
they think they are so
caring, smart,

suprerior.

But they're not.
They put on an air of menace
a facade of what
they are not
they think they can
fool anyone
anything
but let me tell you
you are never
going to be
what you think of
your filthy selves

I am ashamed to be human.
