The leaf-mottled
copperhead coiled
near my woodpile,
rendered sluggish
and harmless
by the cold,
makes no move
to strike.

Its flat eyes
simply stare,
as if to say:
welcome
to the Garden.

True TN story. We had snakes everywhere. You had to keep one eye on the ground.

the serpent slithered into your heart
spewing a poisonous spray
she seduced
lied
cried that you
need to know
she hurt you
when she hissed
all the secrets and non truths
of knowledge
she killed
My chances
With every word that slipped from her
Serpent tounge
A flower
an apple too tempting
But in a tree
a garden
Of sweeter fruit
A seed of desire
Sowed into a prosperous garden
Of could have beens
Of maybes
Watered
With the withering
Of a mouse's slow start
Slowly ****** clean by
A dry serpent heart
Ugh more sappy poetry sorry. Forgive me !!!
Adam was sitting on a rock outside the Garden of Eden , rubbing his sore rib cage .

"What the Hell just happened ?"

Eve came over and sat down beside him
putting an arm around his shoulder and laying her head on him said ,

"Peanut butter and jelly or takeout ."

The snake did not exist
The greed was held within,
The apple was not laced
With knowledge or with sin.
Nor the Garden oh so special,
Just the forest and the fields.
The simplest of the bushes
The simplest Eden yields.

And the people lost their fear
When they slept beneath the tree.
They huddled 'neath the hanging tear
Which was green and sweet to taste.
And then they learnt to covet,
Though they knew it anyway,
But now they'd learnt to love it
And their shame vanished.

So they walked out from the branches
Shed like fruit, we tell
And they planted all their seeds
And grew the garden well.
Now we find that we live
In the beauty of the wood.
And when people tell me it is
All from greed I tell them 'Good.'
Eden grew the world from greed, but it is a good world, so I say 'Good.' I should tell you, I'm not religious, I just like the story :)

I had a dream about you...
We were standing in a garden
I gave you my evil eye
You gave me your Adam's apple
I took a bite and it tasted like forgiveness
My clothes were made of sin
Your boots were made of snakeskin

I believe, God put his view on the world in new borns eyes, and when you stare down into the kaleidoscope wonders, you see the natural beauty of what this all use to be. And when I look down at you Cooper, know I'm standing in the Garden of Eden, with tears rolling down my cheeks, splashing against a phone screen, preventing me from watching you blink. Aunty loves  you Cooper.
I wish I could punch you in the face Ryan

You move like a snake

silently, smoothly, along soft and

from morning dew wet grass.

I found your shed skin beside the lake,

a trace, a mark to follow

already drunk of your sweet fragrance.

There you wait for me on the edge of the woods

but your are a chameleon: every tree, leaf, whisper

of air says your name, hide you, then expose you in twister

and I’m in trance, exhausted of search.

I lean my body on the nearest birch to rest, your alertness

to test.

And there you come,

gorgeous in all your beauty to ****** me with flickering

fiery licks of the tongue that glides over my skin, biting my chin.

I shed my dress, with sky’s bless

Love and Earth, Eden in birth of our desire

endless and restless.

Lake ripples, burbles in sweet aches of waves

upon the gravy shore.

I wake up. I see your peaceful face resting beside mine.

You are a dream of the realm unseen.

There are no descriptors to describe my adore.

I bend to kiss you and hurry to pick up the clothes from the floor.

Beyond the lurid hills of wonder and the mirror lake,
A land of livelihood and mirthful wake.

Where seraphim touch the facade of nature's beauty,
Where nephilim perform their sacred duty.

The vast expanse of ethereal asunder,
The demons quake in its peaceful slumber.

A paradise for few where the holy once held,
Now the desires to consecrate purposes will meld.

The fruitful trees of an innocuous test,
Which hold the desires of men in its breadth.

The wary traveler dare not stay,
For in the garden will you shy away.
Breathe the breath of a thousand days,
Yearn for the fruit from an eternal wage.

The garden of life, the garden of sages.
The angels will call, and to the cull shall sin fall.

I always was a strange girl,
Never having a tight grip on reality,
Escaping the gravity of sanity
Keeping my head in the clouds,
Never certain if my feet remained on the ground

Upon the innocent clouds,
I explored this new Garden of Eden,
and found you
Bearing a rain cloud
In the darkest part of the sky,
You were only a lonely boy,
A fallen angel,
Stuck between the bounded Earth and---
The kaleidoscope of stars

Wherever you chose to roam
Perfection would be concealed by flaws
The stars above; burning and untamed
Up in the sky in its sanity of perfect insanity
Just twinkling little specs
To fill the big void
of black
Emptiness

You taught me sanity is best judged by those who lack it,
and like that,
Your heavenly figure,
Was all I thought was right

Our love blossomed
like a cherry tree
We inked the Twilight sky with hues of--
pink purity, violet passion, and crimson red
Like a rose,
but
With a thorn

Like a thorn, you cut my heart
And a ******, red dawn appeared
I realized you were just a demon in my safest haven,
I fell from the Garden,
Falling back into a cage,
All you left behind,
a single, black feather

The sky erupted,
Clouds letting emotions free,
rain drowning all the life on Earth
Killing the cherry tree
And me.
