Man's profit: Gold.
God's profit: The world.
Man's Prophet: Sage.
God's Prophet: Man.

In which world do you stand?

-Stand grounded like the mountains-
-Stretch in the morning like trees-
-Hold the sky with your eternal head-

If the sky were to rain gold, it wouldn't be enough to satisfy even one man~

~The Gods cry diamond rain.
Hi
Nicole Aug 2014
That diamond smile
Your diamond teeth
Your diamond tongue
Your diamond fingertips
Your diamond wrists
Your diamond eyes
and your diamond thighs

How you sparkle so
much you brighten
my days

you glow inside
while I shatter black fluid out of my eyes

shards of liquid piercing
through my palms

I can't remember the good feeling I had
Ellie's sailing down the river
Tessa's sitting by the lake
Four of us going separate ways on a hot summer day

Phil's driving up the mountains
Looking for a classic thrill coupled with a few spills
Four of us on our own adventures on a hot summer day
This is a short poem I wrote two weeks ago from just a random hand of playing cards.

I remember calling him a diamond when he was upset about the girl who gave up on him too soon
And him smiling as he asked how
I said
"You have to dig to find diamonds, and people get lazy. They give up. I think people do that with you, but they're always gone before they can really see you shine."
Little did he know
He was my diamond
And I wouldn't stop digging until he was mine
Get it because people mine for gold and stuff ha. Oh I rhymed too

I have one wrist shackled to my watch strap
dragging me to obey the sweeping hands of another
like a traffic cop ordering hours of peaks to start and stop
relentlessly spilling time from a once brimming cup
splish splash out into oceans of flashy imaginings
I need the delicate precision of a jeweller's screwdriver kit
to make sense of the shared purpose of the springs
pushing the wheels to wear green amber red carats
tiny diamonds that aren't meant to sparkle
but sit immovable within sealed circles waiting
in partnership
inexorably waiting
patiently forever for the sun to release its shackle
the chain dripping a ting a ting
from the earth into a new star
winding up the decayed orbiting
to trap the same diamonds on a second
hand swept somewhere afar
and with a roll ex-galaxies expired
their guest president bracelet
their gasped jewelled weight
in loving eyes of liquid gold
not ordering us two
to be a slave to anything
now time shone
free could not be sold
apart ever again

Tears
Are like raindrops,
Flowing diamond petals,
Puddles of overflowing
Feeling.

Walls I'd
Carefully erected
Deconstructed in
A few moments of
Brutal honesty and
Embraced doubt
You'll run
You'll reject
Never forgive
Heaven forbid you forget

Those doubts, crushed
When the pressure couldn't
Be handled and
I combusted
Wall deconstructed
Those bricks held in place by
Mortar mixed with my lies
Set carefully by insecurity,
Crumbling in the explosion
Telling me
To just be

But now, not
Too long later,
I'm scrambling
To pick up the pieces
Gathering bricks and ashes
Remixing my mortar of lies
Trying to reconstruct
My walls

I know
That it isn't good, but
It sure as hell feels easier
Stack brick, on brick
Hide away,
All hide and no seek
I know it's no good
But it sure feels easier

I know
Out of ashes can
Come a beautiful new creation
Redeemed and restored
Because
Lighting and sand make
Glass in a storm
Combine enough
Pressure and heat and
You get a diamond

I know beauty comes
From ashes and
I'm a rough cut diamond crafted
By Greater Hands

But I still want to
Scrape up the ashes
Mix my mortar,
Build my wall
Because it may not be good,
But it sure as hell feels easier

Help me believe
Your diamonds are
Better than
My bricks
Don't let me reconstruct
My walls of
Insecurity and
Self-sufficiency
Deconstructing all
You've built in me

I have
To love You more
A kiss...a hug
A life…a love
Time Spent
Friends left
Diamonds may be big.
Diamonds may be small
Diamonds can forget
The time the love
It all
Some things may last
Some things go by fast
Diamonds arent forever
So enjoy them while it lasts

You are the centerpiece

All the crystal fragments of your perfect self
Refracting light like a thousand diamonds
Dazzling and mesmerizing me into a
Blissful trance

Strong enough to hold yourself up
A beacon in the vastness of the
Dance floor of my life yet
Fine and elaborate in design

You reflect stars into my eyes
Even though you aren't a galaxy
I'm ensnared in the cosmos
Of your radiance

Far above me is
Where you reside and I
Am but an onlooker like the rest
Continually startled by your brilliance

When all of the guests leave
My hall and take but a memories
I will remain spinning in
Circles alone
Unable to see anything but
The most marvelous part of it all
You
My chandelier
To the one I love

I have a glass heart

age 4-11
painted on it was beautiful designs
stained glass heart

age 12-14
worthless lonely forgotten burden
cracked glass heart

almost one year ago
I met a diamond
who had the power,
to reflect off me beautifully
creating light rainbows
but cut
and cut
deeper
farther
cut cut cut
broken shattered unmendable heart
