I had to leave,
I had nothing left to give.
Your lust,
Had become your must.
Your unsatiated desires,
Became quagmires.
Your continued demands,
Hollering reprimands,
Had left me hollow ,
Empty with nothing but sorrow.
Too much of anything is not good.

I’m sorry it’s over...

You no longer meet my EXPECTATIONS
Loving you was no small feat

You no longer meet my WANTS
I know you play, I know you cheat

You no longer meet my DESIRES
Once white hot passion, now absent of heat

You no longer meet my NEEDS
My dreams shattered by neglect

You no longer meet my LOVE
You fractured my heart

The ending is written
This time complete
Again, once at last
There is no future
Only the past

My mistakes with you
I AM DOOMED TO REPEAT

Lost EXPECTATION

Lost WANTS

Lost DESIRES

Lost NEEDS

Lost LOVE

I’m sorry it’s over
Someone had to say it

DO I NEED TO REPEAT?

A shoe box filled with borrowed song lyrics
About two cups of gel pens that still smell like hot glue and cardboard
Probably 8 Fiji bottles of water with about 3 swallows left in each
And a basket of hair supplies that are seriously lacking in bobby pins.

I love
A lot more people than I have room for
And each one of them believe they hold my entire heart -
I love
A few indie movies here and there, a few artists here and there,
Myself here and there -
Maybe I love
Reminiscing and trying to recreate the things I've lost
Because I always lose.

I wish for
Traditional objects of desire: happiness, excellence, definite love -
Shoes that don't have socks wedged where the toes should be -
About $10 more in my bank account to spend on chocolate,
A clear throat, a throat that doesn't always hold dissatisfaction-
A better singing voice because music soothes the sting
And I want to be irrevocably, singlehandedly responsible for healing myself

Most of all,
I want to continue to smile.
I should be writing my essay. ****.

Don't CHASE after your DESIRES...

They are like BUTTERFLIES....

Don’t pursue them....

Although they seem to be your Happiness ...

Yet always BEYOND your GRASP....

Their COLOURS attract you...

Their BEAUTY allures you...

But the more you want to catch
them...

The more they increase in number....

They May drive you Madly...

Leaving you behind

EXHAUSTED

and

EMPTY-HANDED."
Although desires motivate us
Yet some desires prove to be a wild goose chase.
They create complexity because they can never be fulfilled. You go on and on working hard for them,
and they remain unfulfilled,
and you remain empty.

I am walking down this beautiful path,
Made up of strong desires.

In between all these tall trees,
Representing my confidence.

Breathing in the calmest air of forgiveness,
And breathing out the greatest regrets.

I am growing into a big tree,
Watered with self-love and patience.

I am walking into the woods,
Where I found the realest me.
For how I am finally changing.

The path to happiness is a lonely journey,

a constant struggle,

a battle with himself,

every single minute of the day,

he fights his thoughts,

he goes to war with his desires,

he strives and toiles,

constantly beating down his own soul,

until one day he achieves control over himself,

such discipline that the devil whispers and the man laughs in his face,

you cannot touch me now!

you are weak and I am strong!

I have overcome myself so I can overcome you!

I have overcome the strongest of desires!

Of food and drink and ***,

so who are you?

Pitiful devil.

No control can you obtain over me now.
Never give up
