Let’s canoodle, let’s spoon.

Let’s cuddle, let’s squeeze.
It has been too long in between
So, let us do this now, please.

I want to lie down next to you
And feel your heart beat close.
To match the rhythm with mine
And then enjoy it as it slows
And matches with the cadence
Of the heart inside my chest.
Of all the moments in my life
This is the one I love best.

I admit that I’m distracted today
That’s the idea I’ve been noodling.
Having fun with you all alone;
Doing some serious canoodling.
It s a better idea than hiking
Or washing the car or cooking.
We just turn on some cool music
And both of us get to canoodling.

Doing simple math for us,
Like one and one make two.
Means I am one number
And of course, so are you.
We can add up some others
Like one well planed meal.
Later it may seem like a dream
But, I assure you, it will be real.

Let’s canoodle, let’s spoon.

Let’s cuddle, let’s squeeze.
It has been too long in between
So, let us do this now, please.

light flickers behind her eyes
a spark? a flame? electricity?
would Zeus approve of the
lightning bolts
her eyes seem to sling at me?
if not, will at least
Aphrodite grant me her blessing?

it's in my nature, like a moth,
to be attracted to bright things.
the light brings me closer
i'm aware of proximity
i'd like to think
i'm aware everything.

but yet, the light dims in my hands:
smothering
stifling
my love is suffocating
my need for intimacy
makes it hard to breathe.

i ***** away anything
that's close enough to me.
the smoke clouds the flame
forever gone between us.

i'm sorry.

I miss
the forest of
        your magic
    as it winds its
                  tattooed way
through the
          serrated textures
                  of nightfall
all up inside
          my vertebrae
the soft wind
       rustling in your
elms,
outstretched to me
                   like arms
as stars burn through
       this brewing sky
in molten,
    fiery charms
They beckon to me
unexpected
          in quiet
      apertures of subtle
they sneak upon me,
          unprotected,
when I'm sunken
in my tunnel
and sometimes
              in the
                   quiet stream
of the lonely, sacred night
I hear a whisper
whirring soft
as it permeates
            my spine
I let it take me over
                   as I sit,
slumped,
     in the bath
it creeps and seethes
over my wet skin
eats out my silent wrath
I let it
       fill my senses
as I walk inside
                 the deep
and on wooded paths
of solitude's carpet of leaves
when I feel
no soul is watching
     the deer start shyly peeking,
  and lynx resume their stalking
then long slashes
                  of ache
are reawakened
           from their lair
snaking through my ribcage
choking up my hollowed air
        yet, somehow
        in the longing
of bottomless, falling space
I see in distant, faded visions:
the precious contours
of your face
and so,
like an enchanted
          secret box
I open you,
inhale the confetti
of your floating stars
wave them over and through
my strands of vein,
my tripped out,
           healing scars
your essence
       penetrates
my presence
   like misty mountain rains
seeps inside my pores
opens up
       striations
of seismic,
      writhing pain
Your invisibility
            takes form
and then
            in sudden,
whipped-up heat
        it pours out in
honeyed rhythm
       to our own
             invisible beat
and just like that
I get taken.
Overcome
by slakes of love
rushing through my
arteries
like sweet
    manna

i uncurled from the ball in the middle of my bed
coaxed by the soft sound of your breathe.
i uncurled swiftly
to reveal my open heart to you.

with my heart open
you were able to leave your fingerprints
adoring each beat with an "i love you" in my ear
and a kiss on my neck.

it is so easy to get lost in your eyes
in the gentleness in your curves
in the close conversations shared as we lay close
but do not think--
i have forgotten who i am.

i am my own stars
i am my own moon
but i still belong to the universe of you.

I don’t wear sweaters much
Especially in the summer
But after a few hours of your embrace
My clothes smell like your detergent.
So I’ll peel off my binder
Strip down to my boxers
And replace that sweater
So I can sleep better.
She bought me this sweater but right now it reminds me of you

Show me your petals
I want you to bloom,
your eyes shine like medals
when I'm close to you.

Sickened of crows
perching above,
your body's my drug
that got me in love.

So show me your petals
in the endeavor,
so I can wait here
and watch you forever.

It's amazing, the ways that we can think about someone; when we know we love them in a certain way, many different lights can be thought up.
Even when a bulb goes out, it's still amazing, the ways we can think about each other, when we love another in a certain way.

I like the way the sun feels
When it shines on high,
And I like the way it feels
When you feel it shine.
You and I together
Walking in the sun--
Really not like just we two
More like just us one.

I like to hear a bird song
When the spring is new--
A song that's even sweeter
When you hear it too.
When you're happy, I feel glad,
And when you're sad, I'm sad:
I feel the same things you feel
And think the thoughts you've had.

I like to watch the flowers
Nodding on their stems,
And I like the way they look
When you look at them.
I'm in your mind, and you're in mine
Our thoughts and feelings blend:
Seems like we're all swirled up
Like a warm, south wind.
