Surely no one is meant to live like this?
Not meant to live in constant fear and pain,
waiting for the evening just for it to rain?

Surely it doesn't make that much sense,
to live in constant regret and sorrow,
unable to make it till tomorrow.

The days pass in a misty haze,
but you are still waiting for the sun.
The stars are vacant in the sky,
but you still wait for them to burn.

Why do you waste away in such a place?
Where your skin is unmarred,
but your heart bears all your scars?

Why must you stay here, broken,
like a porcelain doll that is so, so, fragile.
One touch could break you.

You beg for someone to look below the surface
of the ever-constant ocean in your mind.
But they only dip their feet in the water,
because it is much too cold to stick their head under.

Surely no one is meant to live like this?
Merely surviving until their death.
Never take more than a needed breath,
only an empty shell, uninhabited by any meaning.

Sometimes you have to pause
stand still in the every day
no matter how long it's been
and breath life deeply again
sight it out and observe
look at all that is wonderful
take a glance at the little things
I've been waiting to post this for awhile, I'm really glad that my computer is working properly again. Hopefully I can spew out a ton of Halloween poems soom. I love Halloween. Oh! Also, this poem is based of Moomin Valley, kind of. I love Snufkin's ideology of just taking life how it is and finding something in anything. Sorry for the long note! I'm just excited to post again.

ash
there is no beauty in her words
only a hatred so strong
it turns every breath of hers to ash.

Take a deep breath
Put your mind at ease
I'll always remember
Our nights like these

Surrounded by impeccable noise
This was nothing but my choice
Goodness gracious
I lost my voice
So anxious I can't breath
I think it's from Ms. Melody
How beautifully she's made
You flew to her aid
My heart has been awoken
Living to be broken
Needing be free
It'll never be me

Still here,
beating.

I stand over the girl from my past.

My shadow is a mass, but I am Liberty,
in her stance,
in her strength,
in the sunlight.

Twice struck,
second one has stuck
in deep,
enough to blur the world around me-
around him.

Never mind the darker hours
 (they aren’t important);
what is crucial, is the breath in my lungs.
The fourth poem in my annual series of poems I write for my birthday.

The  dormancy of my linguistics,
          doesn't mean  I'm ignorant.

But I jest at the wastefulness
                                  of breath.

To expel the fortitude of such.

Anger is to give me weakness
           of character, and you undue
                                        strength.

I may seem like the sheep,
                   but do not take my

muteness, as a respite of no validation.

For one is most aware when all is smothered
                      in contemplation.

And then you are like a crumpled leaf,
                    silent and calm....

I didn't utter a word, I just walked away.
letting you take in the view
of me not caring that you were in my shadow.

Not uttering  your worth, but I showed you
that silence can knock down the
                                              strongest word.
