As i sit down
Whisky on the rocks
A Joint in my hand

I take a sip of this fine whisky and a pull from my joint

And I cant help but think
Why we will never please everyone?
Why people will envy you?
And
Why people will sometimes never understand you?

I mean, i think about my life, my experience, knowledge and memories and cant help but conclude
That people in or who we have come across in our lives have sometimes have not liked me, understood me and envied what i had.
Put yourself in my chair and you will realise the same.

But why, is it because of our successes, our achievements or is it who we are?

Let me say this, this is not a poem
But more of thoughts and how i got to where i am. A life of happiness, peace and honestly blaśe to people negativity, envy and bitterness some of us face.

Look at yourself as unique, we all are gifted, unique and most importantly different. Life is too short to make everyone like you. Yes people will not like you but who honestly cares?
You should not allow a persons liking attitude towards you break you down.
If they dont like you, "Cool" is what i say. Because at the end of the day a person who does not like me does not define who i am or who you should be.

To the person or people who envy what you have, understand that you worked hard to get what you have. Let it be achievements, to possessions and/or your success. You put in the hours, the work, the time and you got the rewards and benefits. Don't feel bad, with hard work comes success so enjoy what you have earned because people will always want what you may have but are not willing to give the sacrifice you gave to get it.

And lastly people that will never understand you
It will always be like that.
I tell people
"Walk a mile in my shoes and you still won't understand the demons i have faced , my past and more importantly what has happened to me that made me who i am today.
People are very quick to judge the outside you but will never ask who the real you is. They will always have an opinion about you but can i tell you something amazing?
Is just one opinion in a world of seven billion people. Do you realise how small their opinion really is.

As i conclude i want to say this
You are different, you are unique
And most importantly you are amazing in your own unique way. So if you come across someone who has an issue with you or whatever they have against you, understand that it will happen but it shouldn't impact you. We were made to be different and just because you not someone's  cup of tea, does not mean you have to change who you are, it just tells you that you do not click and that in time you will find someone or people who will understand you, who will be proud of what you have become and accomplished and that will not like but love who you are.

So as i take my last slip of whiskey and finsih the last pull of the joint. I can say life is amazing because i know I am different and unique but i know life is amazing because i finally found people who understand, love and are proud of who i have become.

What if I told you, young man.

What if I told you, you will be an adventurer. Not just land but mind body and soul.
What if I told you, you would be wild and un-tamed like a cloud before a storm.
What if I told you, You would be loved heard, respected, and admired in the places of absent thought.
What if I told you, your deepest dream would wrap you in perfect euphoria just to be with you.

What if I told you....that you would be hated.
What if I told you, you would get lost in the sea's of the mind and heart.
What if I told you, bridges burn faster when fueled by neglect.
What if I told you, you would hold the hearts of love in your hands and throw them to the wind.

What if I told you....you'll be okay.
What if I told you....dont worry young man. These are not but the tears of time settling in the letters of mind.

And its my word for yours in a yours that is ever mine.
Do not worry young man, for what i have told, its only the prelude to the story that is only ever.

Down the failure's den
They chose to walk
My advice was a hard talk
They kept saying

Well, all I wanted
Was to light their darkness
And drive it away
Far from their way

But they rejected the light
That was meant to make them right
It was an advice
To illuminate their feeble hearts

steps to mend
a broken heart:

1. take a good look at your heart,
assess the damage
2. pick up every piece, dust off the pain
3. call a cab, rent a storage room for the unrequited memories
4. let the clock twirl its magic a couple times
5. undress what hurts, damp what you escape from facing
6. hold the weapon that fractured you and bathe in its every fraction
7. collect every fragment left in you, there is strength in unity
8. remember that self love is the only way to win this battle
9. crash in your favourite sheets, put your heart to sleep
10. take your shot at life, assess all of the possibilities

catch a feather
predict the weather
at least that's what my mama said
so I put to bed my doubts
and I told the birds my troubles instead

All is over,
when silence falls upon you
when silence deafens you
and no voice can be reached
when the crashing of waves settles
and the raging storm in your mind bids you
farewell
when your heart becomes heavy
you'll realize your mistake
that the words you chose were venomous
and the situation wasn't all bad
yet you allowed your emotions to possess your tongue
and carve it into a double-edged sword
guard thy tongue with discretion
for it can end everything
