There are 10 kinds of people in this world,
and binary accounts for them all.

They're happy and sad.
They're ones and zeros.
Villains and heroes.
Villains, yet not all bad.
Despite everything life decides to hurl;
Despite every brick ball of fear
Through the stained glass windows of their minds,
Through it all, they survive.
They're angry and glad.
They're happy and sad.

And in their duality, they're still smiling there
at your sharp hasty words
at your venomous hurt
that you wish so desperately they, too, shared.
Love thy enemy.

Special thanks to Kelley A Vinal for the binary inspiration. You can read her poetry here: http://hellopoetry.com/kelley-a-vinal/

It's pretty solid.

Edit: Holy Daily, Batman! Wow, I'm so honored. Glad you all like it so much! :D

Pity the fool who does
not believe words can
change lives

Have you time for me?
I often think in the heart!
You are Time my Lord!

I don't fear death
but to die in each moment
useless without you

Look! disappeared one
that can't be found in the world
I find in the heart

He was grabbing my hand
often
dragging me at warp speed through
universe

my hair was getting caught
in the corners
of unknown stars

(there are new planets
with dinosaurs and lava
out there
and no warning signs!)

blood was running
from my cheeks
to his cheeks
our heads up side down
into black holes
or chaos or light

I had no idea
this was a force
and we were obeying it
Falling in love is the most terrifying journey one can take. So, one takes it <3

He passed in double yellow
Like he was heading to a fire
Really nothing to you
Yet it provoked your righteous ire

Would it make a difference
If you felt the fiery flames
Watched a simple man's dreams
Consumed in a flippantĀ blaze

Would it make a difference
If you saw his baby trapped inside
Or counted the tormentous days
'til his agony would subside

That waitress was a little rude
Like she wasn't really there
She just found her husband cheating
And she's aware that no one cares

Her heart is shattered inside
But she tries to paint on a smile
The darkness is overcoming
Her future bleak and vile

Could it make a difference
To someone lonely, hurt, and lost
If we measured our words and actions
And we stopped to count the cost
You never know what people may be going through...
