My Healing

When I see her smiling,
She makes me smile too
She is not just cute & innocent,
She is pretty & beautiful too

My emotions are connected now,
With her heart and her feeling
She found me, when I was wounded
And she was there for my healing

She is a spring day;
When she is sad, the sky cries with her,
but seconds after, the clouds open up and a rainbow shines through
each color representing a different tone of her laughter.

she does not realize that her presence is as powerful and illuminating as the sun itself,
she* is like the sun itself.
It is a shame she does not understand how beautiful she is.

Her words are butterflies lingering in the air,
Her actions as clear as rushing rivers.

She is a spring day;
when she is sad, the sky cries with her,
but seconds after, the clouds open up and the birds chirp a melody that lets her know:
**she will be okay.

Erased.
That's what you are,
From your pictures,
And your messages.

I've deleted everything.
Because there was really nothing.
Nothing,
Nothing to hold unto.

This past I refuse to acknowledge,
Goodbye.
For I do not have reason to,
Look back anymore.

It's all gone.
Just like what we never were,
What we could not be,
Unlike what you are now with her.

Let the silence in you
Be your everyday guest.

Hatred isn't always knives and guns aimed at hearts
Sometimes it is fiery words in legislation that authorises the building of walls
And the banning of free movement
Sometimes hate disguises itself as safety and security but really it is still just hate

She's right there, sitting alone
Watching how we smile and laugh
She's right there, looking at the posts of her friends
Posts that make her feel the grief and sadness
She feels like a lost star, alone and lonely
Star that stops shining in the night sky
Her emotions are like sparks of an old star, fading
She's a lost star
A dead star.

Not anymore,
I said

but then you came
to say hello
and it's just
'Hell yeah'*
all over again

Bittersweet rain falls
From stormy eyes
Like sour candies
On your tongue

The stream is steady,
Warm, serene
Leaving dark footprints
On flushed cheeks

Salty lips faintly
Muster a sound
But it’s swallowed --
Strangled shout
Succumbing to the shadows

It hurts seeing you
and I see you every day.

It hurts sitting next to you.
It hurts having you so close
yet incredibly so far.

I am hurting all the time
for the wrong reasons.

I no longer know if this is love
or just a dangerous game of tag.
But I know that this is all consuming.

My love for you is consuming.
And I have to stop playing.
