What is the persona of Autumn?
of many things, it is a sum,
Of golden days, chillsome nights,
Twilight descending, turn on the lights,
of fleecy clothes, planting in soil,
of rainy sodden, drenching our toils,
Autumn's persona is past middle-aged,
More like a golden age on nature's stage,
Grey afternoons, foggy morns,
What kind of day does this day dawn?
Feedback welcome.

This is a thought without a face,
A message to our human race,
A verse of comfort and good hope,
Despite all the terrorist folk,
In spite of druggies and their dope,
The world is not coming to an end,
Onwards one humanity shall wend,
A voice of hope for us, do you ken,
Alone, but never lonely in the world,
To the humans, from an ******* girl,
It may be the end of an era,
But grace may be coming nearer,
The world is not coming to an end,
Onwards, one humanity does wend......

Lord, bless us with a wing and a prayer,
Guardian angels to shine on Earth here,
For all the folk down under, my dears,
Let angels pray for mendicants on charities and welfare,
For druggies and  their dealers, somewhere,
For these folk, not much Christmas cheer,
Lord, bless us with a wing and a prayer,
Guardian angels to pray for Peace on Earth this year,
Please guide wise leaders, our buccaneers,
Towards Peace on Earth, all of us, to steer,
For all humanity, angels pray, my dears,
Lord, bless us with a wing and prayer.
An invocation and a prayer for Earth, and Australia.

I reflect, as I am turning sixty-two,
This I've learnt in life's so-called school,
A woman must live by her own rules,
What does self-determination mean to you?
What is an example of these rules?
Well, don't cook if you don't want to,
Collect lots of take-away menus,
Or, indeed, microwave food,
No need to do what you don't want to,
What does self-determination mean to you?
Find something else  you'd like to do!
This I've learnt in life's so-called school,
A woman must live by her own rules!!!

Bacon! Bacon! Bacon!
Time to get the breakfast on!
Little Johnny likes to cook,
No, he is no wussy sook,
He is cooking in his apron,
Yes, thirty pieces of bacon!
Johnny decides this is bliss,
As he gives his empty plate a kiss,
But Johnny now has cholesterol, you see,
That was yum, time for tea,
Now he's eating thirty chocolates, prithee,
All gone, Johnny has cholesterol and diabetes!!!!!!
Yes, Little Johnny is heading for obesity!!!!!!

Here is the ballad of Web MD,
Self-diagnosing terminal maladies,
My fatal afflictions linger on,
I'm buying more medical texts from Fishpond.

Let's do our own diagnosis,
Teach yourself self-hypnosis,
My fatal afflictions linger on,
I'm buying more medical texts from Fishpond.

Let's sing our ballad of  MD,
Sure we've got terminal maladies,
My fatal afflictions linger on,
I'm buying more medical texts from Fishpond.

What are today's self-diagnosis,
My fatal afflictions linger on,
I'm buying more medical texts from Fishpond.

Balzac is beading,
Robespierre is reading,
Introversion I am needing,
Reflections I am heeding,
In old bat cave central,
Like an ancient Sybil, hypothetical,
Wisdom is supposed to come with age,
As Balzac turns his own page,
Why am I more religious than the Pope?
Can any faith give Earthlings hope?
Better than folk smoking dope!
If you have a problems embarrassing,
Bring them here for my listening,
Sage advice I am providing,
Reflections I am heeding,
Yes, boys, beer understands,
How did dinosaurs make it in Pleistocene lands?
Answer: they didn't, for beer, no hands,
Yes, reflections I am  heeding,
Humans are minute cosmic specks, spinning,
On a pebble in Outer Space, clinging,
If gravity didn't ****, we'd all be floating,
Reflections I am heeding,
As Robespierre shall keep reading,
Then Balzac shall be beading......

If the world was run on barter,
Free trade would be our charter,
We could trade in hypocrisy,
Racism, cant and war's futility,
To barter off for a kindly face,
And peaceful ways for the human race,
Lay down all weapons, for grace,
Peace armies to take their place,
If we could run the world on barter,
Those trades would be our charter.......

I do ponder on Aristotle,
In  these groves of golden wattles,
Was Aristotle on the bottle?
"What is beautiful?" he asked,
He set us such a puzzling task,
How to define beautiful?
Maybe, things inspirational,
Or, indeed, something admirable,
A pretty verse, so lyrical,
Or scenery beautiful,
Or a woman, lovable,
Maybe it is a life of harmony,
Are these beautiful, prithee?
Excellent question, Sir Aristotle,
Maybe I should hit the bottle.

Hello, I'm invisible,
From my thoughts,
Indivisible,
Essence I sought,
Hello, I'm invisible, a wraith,
Being invisible can be great,
Round corners I can see,
I am quite imaginary,
I travel all over for free,
Being invisible rates,
Hello, I'm invisible. Great!

What is the best idea I've ever had?
Well, I made an essay template for likely lads,
So they would always be number one,
Their scholastic life has just begun,
Then I designed an adage,
Whatever happens,  I manage,
I designed a motto,
As I don't drink, nor get blotto,
"Good day to be alive, now smile!"
I'll invent something else, in a while!
So, what is the best idea you've ever had?
Let's all share, lassies and lads!

Between the stars,
There are particles afar,
Between dreams for each,
Ghosts appear beyond reach,
Between flames a'glow,
Sparks fly for us, we know,
Between shadows and light,
We're all shades in the night,
Between water and air,
Mists can form anywhere,
Between notes and song,
Music can linger along,
Between breaths that meet,
We share kisses so sweet,
It's between you and your next wife,
Time you got a life!

Sibling rivalry did not fail,

Yes, it was a sad brotherly tale,
Their sibling rivalry never failed......

Beware the flooded roads,
Don't drive in that overflow,
You won't drive into a bushfire,
why drive into that watery mire,
Beware, there's danger there,

Beware, beware, that's far enough,
Beware, beware, my man,
Don't drown yourself in a tin can!

All they do is write scripts,

Bitter glass, my dears,
Football's finally a'loose,

Yes, it was a hot day for a black wedding,
I swapped my life for a golden ring,
I did not check those sinister omens,
As I volunteered to change my cognomen,
All our families, garbed in black,
Once hitched, there was no turning back,
A fateful dark matrimonial,
Indeed, a disastrous ceremonial.
'Twas already a dim bleak wedlock,
Nuptials in black was a shock,
So much for my late spouse,
Yelling at me to clean his house,
Is biology destiny? I used to ask,
Is housework only a woman's task?
Once, I swapped my soul for a golden ring,
Yes, it was a hot day for black wedding.

At my antique womanly age,
I have reached beyond cynicism stage,
I am quite blasé about hyperbole,
Hearsay evidence about chicks like me,
You're wasting your time, unfortunately,
Old bags like me are basically resilient, you see,
I've had 700 billion lovers, it seems,
Plus or minus 10%, is that how you deem?
Contemplation on such matters makes me giggly!
Yes, quite blasé about hyperbole,

Bombs in the Bibliotheque!
What is meant by that, by heck!
On each line, it's like a college,
Every word a weapon of knowledge,
A library is a lucky dip,

Reading is a mine of pleasure,
So, off to the library, let's cheer,

I listened to promises from a drunk,
"Bourbon Talking," I should have thunk,
The day passed, the weeks concluded,
I tried to work out who was deluded,
Waiting for red herrings,
The months and years were ending,
Decades rolled by, one day,
I realised he should be at AA,
Not so comical,
The vocab. was lyrical,
Centuries passed, millennia concluded,
The world exploded, universe imploded,
Worked out who was deluded,
Now for tradies, through phone books, I go walking,
So, girls, never listen when it' s "bourbon talking!!!"
