It's what's in the night sky on mid-July evenings that reminds us to keep searching for beauty. The stars don't fear yesterday's sadness or the morning clouds that loom over the sky, covering the sun and all it's beauty, the stars are always just as bright. The stars remind us to keep searching, the milky way reminds us that there is hope for something bigger and better and even the little stars who shine a little less bright, remind us that we're still important even when we seem small. I hope you find what you're looking for. I hope your wish upon that shooting star comes true.
A shower from the stars will cleanse your soul

They say there are three types of love, but respectfully I disagree.
How can someone count, what one constantly bleeds?
Can you imagine love so simple, like counting to three?

Love is losing control, love is setting free, love is giving a stranger your seat.
Love is breathless, love is bold, love is sharing a blanket in the cold.
Love is pure, love is tragic, love is unintentional magic.
Love cannot be stopped or contained. It just constantly happens.

Love evaporates and falls from the clouds. It sneaks up on you when you don't want to be found. It is a force that knows no bounds.

Love gets you out of bed, and helps you fall asleep. Love is always present even as you dream.
Work in progress
breathing the turquoise like lavender,
and sipping the blue summer.
bitter cold clouds glide and morph lava lather,
floating whispers cut by sweet pineapple sunshine.

soon, a moment, now
rhythms ripple the sky like skipping stones
we jump the music like puddles
splashing in the frequencies.

cobalt bass rumbles the earth hungry,
pumps the air with springing spirals
pushing and pulling the senses,
reverberating through cells.

heavy mud humming, stomping
echoes through our atoms dizzy;
balancing tuned body to innate electricity
the fizz of circulating lemonade energy.

we jump the music like puddles
splashing in the frequencies.

strawberry melodies spilling ribbons,
dolphin leaps of the spaces inbetween beats,
lines of colours overlapping,
colliding, mixing, merging, blending
in with the forest.

washing over souls the life fire sparkles
like a clear water cleansing harmonies,
sound waves crashing against inertia.
phosphorescent glow of re-charged love
for the world, for being, animation

flowing through burnt smoky ashes
of sapphire charcoal skies;
dimmed radiation of chlorophyll emerald days.
the smell of salt, dry bark, fluffy carbon mists,
trembling lights softening the eyes'
grip on outlines, loosening lies.

watching the cycles of patterns
tumbling colours through a mill rotating,
and the silence of listening
when the music comes to an end.
Something I've been working on for a long time on and off since 2015.

I don't want to sit in my own self-loathing
But I don't want to leave it either..

I don't want to be alone and on my own
But I don't want to mess up either..

..Sigh..

You laugh
Angels weep out of jealousy
Devils have no single conspiracy
Demons dancing in harmony
Men hearts go broken with no remedy
Women eyes tearing continuously
Violins break out of envy terribly
Composers have no more creativity
Music plays with no melody
Silence starts listening joyfully
Happiness laughters left in agony
Beautiful words describe nothing but misery
Tulip flowers become colorless shamefully
Believers lose their faith immediately
Infidels drop their convictions instantly
Hearts start beating rapidly
Lungs oxygenating quickly
Living ones laying listening carefully
The dead come back miraculously

You Laugh. Version 1.
you said you loved me
i said it back.
you said you needed me
i was grateful to hear that.
you said you were mine
and i said i am yours.
you said you forever
and i said forever more.
you said you didn’t want to lose me
and i was content
but then you disappeared
leaving my tears alone with nowhere to vent.

you blamed it on the timing
i didn’t agree.
you blamed it on yourself
and i blamed it on me.
did i not love you enough?
was my hugs and kisses too flat?
i said i love you.
but you didn’t say it back.
The poem being in lower case is intentional.

Poet's Mind

The mind of a poet is such a curse
Its search for words an endless thirst

Poets cannot sit and simply be
Soak in the splendor of all they see

Confronted with beauty which defies description
A quest for lyrics is the poet's prescription

Thinking wordy expression will enhance the sublime
Poets lose the chance to be lost in time

Though graced with wonder again and again
The poet can't find that elusive zen
I sat this week and watched a stunning sunset over the mountains.
And my mind was spinning the whole time looking for the words to describe the incredible sight.
And before I knew it, the sun had set on me, my relaxed enjoyment of the moment, and ironically, on my creative spark as well.
There were no words, but stupid me tried to find them anyway.

When I say, “I love you”,
I'm saying that you are beautiful, and
That no matter what you think, if you just got
Drenched in the rain or just woke up, that
You will always be the most beautiful human to me.
When I say “I love you”,
I'm saying that I want to stay with you for the rest of my life,
Grow old and gray with you,
And never, ever leave you.
When I say, “I love you”,
I'm saying that you're my most favorite person in the world,
That I want to care for you with everything I have,
And that you are first and I am second.
When I say, “I love you,”
I mean it.
Do you?

Life has a funny way
Of driving us almost insane
And pulling back
Just in time
For you to feel ashamed
Sometimes it throws a curve
Causing a momentary swerve
To avoid what we deserve
I watch these people
Trapped
Lost
Clinging to a dream
They know in their hearts
Is gone with the wind
While
All the while
Theres been something good
Waiting in the wings

The world has a funny way
Of making us waste
Away
Never siezing that day
Lie in wait
Just to alleviate
Pain

Because we're all a little broken
A little out spoken
But broken all the same
But.....

I dont want to wait anymore
**** it
This opportunity is knocking
And I'm opening that door
I feel these changes coming
This adventure I adore
And did I mention?
I have a question

Am I also
What you've been looking for?
