Here I sit
Feeling like ****
Eyes red
***** blue
Reading haikus
Drinking cheap *****
Tryin’ to find that spark
If not to write
Then at least light my cigarette
So I can smother myself out
And go on to bed

We all want change
But we don't wanna change

We say keep the change
Like we don't need the change
Like we've never counted out dimes to buy cigarettes or beans

We're 2000 miles over on an oil change
We don't like to think about what we can change

We change our mind
We change our hair
We change our ***
We change our friends

We change the channel

But we don't change

We don't wanna change
How can you change what makes you the same

Winds change and we get blown away
Because we don't wanna change

Isn't that strange

Wake up
Spill some seed
Dig a hole
Plant yourself at the type writer keys
Water with whiskey
Give it some time
That’s how you grow the best lines

they always come late in the night
Right before I close my eyes
Right before I end the day
they come fast and beg me to stay awake
But many times I'm to tired
I let them die in vain

But if the words make a good impression
Then I will roll over and immortalize
There names

Te amo means I love you
Wǒ ài nǐ means I love you
je t'aime means I love you
I love you means I love you
But when you say it
It don’t mean ****

I'm back to not sleeping again
I'm back to doing drugs without my friends
I'm back to nothing
An empty room
An empty bottle
A full head and ashtray
I wish I could close my eyes and go to bed
But I just can't

It was march
At the farmers market
Still kinda cold outside
There were people selling their odds and ends
And vendors selling fruit inside
At the back of the lot
Set an old taco truck
That sold tacos for a dollar a pop
I had 3 and a glass bottle coke
And wondered if I should buy
strawberries or not
