Siren Song
James Cushman Oct 22
You are the siren to my song
Your hypnotic gaze
Is so ethereal
And eternal

I surrender
To your embrace
My mind is twisted
The song guides me
And I’ll follow you
Towards calm ends

You sing the sweet lullaby
Of eternal damnation
It sounds so ******* sweet
I need it
I crave it
So badly it hurts
It’s excruciating…

Or maybe that’s the water in my lungs
I just had to get this out

Soul
James Cushman Oct 16
I float endlessly

Through endless oceans
Of absolution

When the time is right
I will materialize

Until then
I float
What is a soul really?

Human vessel
James Cushman Oct 16
Cut my tongue
And Slip me poison
Strike a match
And watch me burn

I yearn for nothing
Its abysmal
So scorch my flesh
And warp my broken mind

Intimate darkness
Before your existence
intimate darkness
After
Take comfort in death and live a good live while you still can

A social engineering construct
Generated by the elite few
To ravage and forsake our world.
The same few,
Who would send your brothers and sons
To die across seas
In brutal massacres
and meaningless battles
Over invisible lines
And ancient history.

The puppet masters tug the strings
And we dance.
Addicted consumers
Everyone is a trend setter…
Begging for attention
And validation
As this world self implodes,
We are all addicted to our own demise.
And we scroll
The toxic algorithms.
We all die eventually
Remember
To live in the now.
Enjoy this moment

Eyes of Beryl
James Cushman Jun 27
Lost in a forest
And falling into a whirlpool.
Crestfallen into the deep
As all tension is dispelled
Into a fading mist.

I find myself lost
In a forest of beryl.
Glittering and glistening
Vibrating frequencies
They pierce my very being.

Lost in a forest
Snared by roots
Transfixed in place.
I begin to melt
Like the flame melts the candle.

I find myself lost
Fading into shadowless night
Lost in the forest
Lost in her eyes.
If you love someone, be sure to show them, and not just tell them.

Trust
James Cushman Jun 14
Trust in the earth
And the grass
And the dirt
And the trees
Trust in lakes
And the land
And the air that you breath
Trust your mind
And the heart
And the brain
And the pain
Trust in time
And the space
And the life
And the flame
Trust in success
And in failure
And in loss
And in gain
Trust in experience
And what made you
Who you are today
Trust in trust
And in truth
And in good
And in right
Don’t ever mistrust
That you’re wrong
In your fight
Trust your words
And your thoughts
And your prayers
And your faith
Trust in math
And consequence
And in science
And in fate
Be who you are
And trust that you will
Be who you are
Until you are filled
With love
And with life
And with joy
Oh it’s great
Be who you are
Till you meet the wraith
Don’t ever be afraid to show the real you. Be your true authentic self, so when you grow old you will have no regrets!

Shadow world
James Cushman Jun 12
Mortality elusive
Reclusive in shadow
Fleeting
Fleeting
Memories dissolve
And turns colour to darkness

An all consuming void
Purely blissful
Nothing ever mattered
Or will ever matter again

The wraith comes for us all
Ever unable to escape
Do not deplore your fate
Or try to barter
Everything expires
Everything
Fleeting
Fleeting
Until dark turns to light
Everything will be okay. Don’t ever give up.

A thunderous crack
Echoes in the night.
A monstrous sound
Splitting my eardrums.

****** impure poison…

And it’s funny.

Firestorm
James Cushman Mar 2020
During the darkest nights,
When the worst storms lash into the jagged shore
And the blustering wind howls
When the torrent pounds the land
Nature always finds a way
It goes on forever
And endlessly
Though the squall was so violent
And destruction unfolded
It seems unbearable
At the peak of total destruction
But the light breaks the clouds
And the waves have finally been quelled
And she is at peace
.
When the fire consumes everything
And the blaze torches the trees
Chaos flicks in all directions
It eats away at the jungle
Timber blisters and breaks
And explode all over the place
The inferno grows and grows
And when the carnage is over
Seeming all that’s left is desolation
Ash covers the terrain
The smoke clears
And new growth soon emerges from the soot
Green takes over once more
And he is at peace
.
After the greatest destructions come the most beautiful and majestic times. All you have to do is wait out the storm.

Healing
James Cushman Mar 2020
Hark! What a feeling!
For thou hath introduced
Free from burden
Guilt misting into nether
Bray out!
But softly, this feeling is dateless
No more drops of sorrow and woe
From whence we came
New beginnings arise
Dost thou wish to come with me?
Hast thou the courage to push through?
I gage to thee new feelings of old
Grace for grace
Nevermore any gull
Nevermore leasing or palter
I am at your hip
I am receiving of thee
Alas the day hath come
For better feelings and truth
From now onto the perpetual wink.
I am yours
A Shakespearian take on healing. From all pain you can either choose to be miserable, or you can take it as a lesson and learn and grow from it all. Time is the ultimate healer.

Transformation
James Cushman Feb 2020
Anchored by my very core
Old disintegrating into decay
I’ve never felt this way
Eradication into extinction
Obliteration of what was
My soul has been purged
Emotions soar and surge
Feeling stout and resolute
A state of the art self
Getting rid of that which pollutes
Armoured and moor
Vehement passion
I am so fervent
Of this new force inside me
I’ll never let it go
But it’s only possible
With the help of the one
A true guardian angel
Protector of myself
She wont give up on me
I’m not what I used to be
Eyes glistening and green
I am her hero
And she is my queen

Bury me
James Cushman Feb 2020
Affliction never ceasing
I lament in woe
Torturous agony
Carved into an empty husk
Sweet crimson drops
Hack my soul
Slash my heart
Slit my wrist
Cleave my body
I am mutilation
Flay me to death
I enjoy the agony
Ataxia within
Alleviate this pain
Necrosis breathing down my neck
My life is a clouded slate
Release of my demise
I wish to see the king of hell

Deceiver
James Cushman Feb 2020
Haunting like an infestation
Lost within a barren wasteland
Who am I?
Tormented by evil within
My soul in clutch of the devil
Toxic words like poison
From a double sided dagger
Festering in our hearts
Putrefying in our minds
Noose around my neck
My words make me jump
Towards calm ends

Please save me

Pure Terror
James Cushman Feb 2020
Crushing black
My mind is fractured and shredded
Vexing pain
When will the torment end
Haunting memories
Thy flesh consumed
Nightmares
Even demons cry
The horrid terror
Dripping down my face
Clawing at my skin
Run...escape
Take my life
My soul is an empty husk
Peel my crust
Brittle and shattered
Such is my time on earth
I can’t be saved
Things will always get better. The night is always darkest before the dawn.

Unbroken
James Cushman Feb 2020
Vanquish the darkness
From within you
Even abyss cannot reach
The beauty inside
The chasms of your mind
Will never fault
Won’t you take my hand
To serine places
Tranquil thoughts bring us
Upon this journey
A nebulous entanglement
Forever intwined
Unto the farthest reaches
Of the cosmic infinite
I will show you
A hue of Colours not seen
Staggering emotion
No masquerade
Of broken thoughts
We are here

Neutralize Me
James Cushman Feb 2020
Shred my soul to fragments
Take my essence and incinerate
The very fabric of my being
Is wry and deformed
Take a baby and rip it’s spine
I only crave violence
Life is so daunting
Hopeless and bleak
Wishing to expire
Abolish my entire existence
And eradicate the innocent children
Their cries amuse me
The slaughter is not enough
No carnage or massacre
Can save me...

Blade grasped firm
I slash at my flesh
I only see blackness
Darkness encloses in
I am finally at peace
Never give up on yourself.
You matter.

Symmetry
James Cushman Feb 2020
Have you ever gazed?
Upon geometric glaze of frost in a window?
Or into the vast expanse of the diamond shimmers in the blackness of night?
The bedazzling mysteries of the universe cannot compare
Nor the beauty of salmon and amethyst sunrise
A field of rainbow efflorescence
Emotion soaring higher the the tallest precipice
I am lost in her eyes
Lost in the forest of beryl
Passion like white hot intensity of infinitesimal stars
When my life is in a cacophony
She is there to quell the turbulence
She gives me vitality
She gives me fortitude
She makes me walk on air
And I will cherish her eternally
A few nice words for the woman I love more than anything in this universe and the next!
