How will we end?
Arpan Rathod Apr 2017
Whenever I got serious, and told you that I just want us,

nothing else now matters and only you can flatter or shatter

everything that is mine.

You stayed like you are mine,

until no other guy gave you any sign

of interest

without another thought, you broke my trust,

it was unjust, felt like it was out of lust.

Was it all my fantasy, couldn’t you behave with a little decency?

When we started, when our hearts and sorrows parted,

you told me that you would never change,

that it would never get this strange,

or is it some kind of revenge?

It didn’t have to end like this,

3 years ago, being together was the only bliss,

and oh my! that kiss.

Can I say that I still love you,

One day, you will forget everything and say, Fantasist? Who?

Even then I will be within you somewhere,

my voice will faint and words will blare,

that’s when you will care.

My thoughts and words will blend,

but at that time, we will end.
For what happened on 24th of March and 14th of April.

A Day Without You
Arpan Rathod Dec 2016
A day without you
made me realize
how it's never
gonna work.

A day without you
forced me to think
about all the times
you said
"I need you".
and
"I can't live without you".
when it's clearly
possible
and easy.

A day without you
was a day
without light,
where I couldn't
see myself,
find myself.

A day without you**
was also a day
without me...
just a draft..

The One Unit (Love Story)
Arpan Rathod Apr 2016
The world was like it had always been,

Cruel, full of hatred and chaos,

Life was like it had always been,

Full of unfulfilled expectations,

Lost hopes and broken dreams.

Love was too rare to taste.

There were so many who were ours.

but we were no one’s.

Maybe we were not deserving-

Or maybe they weren’t.

We tried to give support,

the support we needed ourself.

It was satisfying to be a listener,

to hear someone’s reasons,

how they got hurt,

how the world was being cruel.

We listened to them and tried to give a shoulder,

to cry and to lean  on.

We lent them an ear to open up their hearts.

And accidently,

one day…

We met,

became listeners for each other,

turned into shoulders to cry and to lean on,

We shared every single thing,

our pain, our happiness, our dreams and our hopes.

Our dream to leave a mark on this world,

to make this world a place filled with love.

We shared our dreams,

eventually became each other’s dream.

Our pain was the reason we came close.

Our suffering made us feel each other’s need

and our life with each other is full of hope.

We are living now, not just existing,

for ourselves, for each other.

Everything happens for a reason,

we realised.

We found the missing pieces of our puzzle in each other.

Life seems beautiful now,

maybe it had always been.

we are happy and we are one…

We are One Unit.

She was mesmerizing him all the way from death to life.
From his reality to her lies.
Looked like she was saving him.
From that darkness where light was dim.

It looked real but it was fake.
It was sweet but not a cake.
On her, He forgot to do a reality check.

He realized, she was not real.
It was now all clear,
Nothing left to conceal.

It wasn't love at all.
She knowingly made him fall.
It was her arrogance that she left.
Abandoned his heart and life that she kept.
He wept and wept and wept and wept.

Then once again, an angel came.
He thought that she's playing a game.
But she was real, she was the one.
He tried to run from what's already done.

He fell, Fell harder.
And got caught.
Caught by her, realized he still has heart
in that slot.

She healed his hurt, and mended him.
Brighten the light which had gone dim.
He could see the love of his life.
The one whom he wanted to make his wife.

He got to know that love can hurt and love can heal.
It is something not everyone can feel.

His story ends now.
I take a bow.
A poem on every poet's life.

The Dryness of the Rain
Arpan Rathod May 2015
In the rainy dark night,
Two hearts having fight,

In the silence of the night.
Their heartbeats screaming more than thunderstorms.

Remembering their first kiss
In season's first rain.
Smelling each other and kissing away each other's pain.

Remembering the long drives,
And dancing together,
Getting closer and closer to each other.

Remembering the nights,
They spent holding each other,
Reminiscing promises broken one after another.

Remembering the day,
They last met,
The date Feb 14 and the year was '08.

In their eyes, there is love,
And some tears,
Will they meet again? Like some fears.

They were meant to be,
But now it's clear,
They have to leave and live their fear.

As the raindrops became dry,
They were meant to say goodbye.
Thanks for the help Victoria Garcia.
And how can I forget my Capsicum.? Love.

Moon Kissing The Ocean
Arpan Rathod May 2015
As the moon kissed the ocean,
Her lips on his,
She's Cold like the moon,
His heat, like the sun.

His light on her made
Her bright, Her imperfections fade.
Moon and Sun.
Perfect example of
Made for each other.
Yet far from each other.
One comes, other has to go,
They can't be together.

His heat of lust burned her.
She is not cold like moon anymore.

She is learning to become one
Like him, she seeks for revenge.
Giving the light, like him in the day.
She's with the stars.
He is alone.
In heat of his own, Burning.
Hiding his light behind the clouds.
Just for a glance of her.
She is nowhere to be found.
She is gone in the darkness of the moonless night.
Forever. She is gone...
The draft.

A Smiling Finger
Arpan Rathod Apr 2015
Her finger smiled.
As she got grip of him,
Their palms hugged.
Her fingertips kissed back of his hand tightly,
It was the celebration for the ring finger without any ceremony...

Her Fingers wished to touch the stars,
As being with him, she was already on cloud 9.
She painted her finger with a smile,
A smile, happiness that he gave her….

Her life was like a card thrown out of deck,
He came like an Ace in her life…
To win her and her life.

She was lost as she found him,

As they hugged,
She caressed her fingers on his back,
They were hugging each other’s life...

They were Two when they are apart…
Now they are ONE…

Let's Move On From Our Pain
Arpan Rathod Apr 2015
“One day this pain will go,
Let’s move on and not let it grow,

You are special, you are brave,
Not anyone’s slave,

Don’t seek for revenge,
Of course, your life will change,
Don’t act too strange,

because…

One day this pain will go,
Just Move On, and not let it grow.”

What If...
Arpan Rathod Apr 2015
You had always mocked me.
Your words even choked me.

I didn't know what to make of it.
You never showed mercy, for the sake of it.

All I wanted to see you happy, see you smile..
But you.. Yes. You brought me here where happiness
is far a mile..
Money was your only style...

I cried and cried for nights to think..
Do I really want a career of paper and ink?
I asked and asked for hours without a blink...

I realized, it is true. This is what i want.
These nights must stop their haunt.

I held the pen in my hand and tears in the eyes,
Now my fate will rise,
You all will get, for I have a prize..

As I write this, I smile at the paper,
My all sorrows evaporate like vapor..

I always think now, what would I become,
If all the pain didn't come?

What if you hadn't mocked me?
What if your words hadn't choked me?
