little tree little silent Christmas tree you are so little you are more like a flower who found you in the green forest and were you very sorry to come away? see i will comfort you because you smell so sweetly i will kiss your cool bark and hug you safe and tight just as your mother would, only don’t be afraid look the spangles that sleep all the year in a dark box dreaming of being taken out and allowed to shine, the ***** the chains red and gold the fluffy threads, put up your little arms and i’ll give them all to you to hold every finger shall have its ring and there won’t be a single place dark or unhappy then when you’re quite dressed you’ll stand in the window for everyone to see and how they’ll stare! oh but you’ll be very proud and my little sister and i will take hands and looking up at our beautiful tree we’ll dance and sing “Noel Noel”

Little Tree
Refrain: The legend of our sweet Santa Claus In December begins Up on the rooftops, when eight strong paws Make sounds of reindeers twins. Santa had another noted name, He was a simple man Called Nicholas living for no fame. He was a Christian. His parents died, when he was still young, In a village of Greece. Thinking of Jesus, his thoughts he strung To help poor kids in peace. Refrain: The legend of our sweet Santa Claus In December begins Up on the rooftops, when eight strong paws Make sounds of reindeers twins. Under Diocletian he became A Bishop in mission. He was imprisoned, and put to shame. He changed the tradition. In time, St. Nicholas' life and deeds Have become a story. He was a helper of those in needs, A man in the glory. Refrain: The legend of our sweet Santa Claus In December begins Up on the rooftops, when eight strong paws Make sounds of reindeers twins. Nicholas became Dutch Sinter Klass, But children changed his name. The Bishop's red cloak changed with time's glass In cloths for Santa's fame. On that day, kids wait for him to come In spirit of giving, The Christmas tree looks no longer glum And it looks like living. Refrain: The legend of our sweet Santa Claus In December begins Up on the rooftops, when eight strong paws Make sounds of reindeers twins. Down the chimney comes Papa Noel Quite slipping and sliding. From his sky with reindeers and sleigh bells Just gnashing and gliding. Spreading stardust glittering at night He brings presents for kids, They pray and sing in the Divine Light. Then, to sky his sleigh skids. Refrain: The legend of our sweet Santa Claus In December begins Up on the rooftops, when eight strong paws Make sounds of reindeers twins.

We fed ourselves on New Year's well Gifts were exchanged over the song The First Noel The evening before Christmas drinks were had Many fooling themselves that they are glad Throughout the cheer, men, women, and children in Yemen forgotten Leftover turkeys and roasts would be hurriedly eaten even if found rotten Starvation has Yemeni bodies eating themselves Have you seen photos of their emaciated figures on newspapers' shelves Pregnant women and newborn babies with dead husbands and dead fathers How do they care for themselves when in the grand scheme of things no one bothers Saudi military should go **** on themselves Murderous cowards that they are playing with Santa's elves Women in Yemen being ***** and domestic violence bring me to tears Would they get away with their satanic work if the U.S. wasn't kissing their filthy rears Seriously dangerous diseases running rampant Yemenis beautiful skin no longer so lambent So few of us care enough to choke up for our Ahmeds and for our Imans I ask infuriatingly will it take a whole country's destruction to rise for Yemen's Marwans

Yemen I ponder
Matt. British gent to British ***** You became insecure, moody, obsessive and possessive And that doesn't give you the excuse to abuse. It’s over. Norman. Male twin to turned twin. You became my best friend so easily, come boyfriend Then you broke up with me for my brother. It’s over. Ryan. Sweet guy to skaterboi. I don’t even know why we dated, Probably because we left people who abused us. It’s over. Noel. Romantic to heart-frantic. You chose that nasty ex over me, and she only hurt you. I've never came so close to fighting a girl in school. It’s over. Morgan. Cuban fling to cutie far away. I realize we were both drunk, but you initiated the kiss And you weren't too bad at it, for a girl… but you’re in Ontario. It’s over.

Breakups and Flings
So beautiful lay you all In your tiny beds Cuddled up with Panda,  Firstlove, Tiny tears and Noel. Little fingers curled tight Knees rolled up I leaned over you all and kissed What was my great delight. We went about together Down the roads and parks Caught a train to London The museums and the art. You grew up, gently, slowly In each other’s arms We made Chocolate Easter Bunnies and Christmas shower. We touched the lights together Sang each other’s songs Four wonderful children Never got it wrong. Love Mummy xxxxx

Father Christmas, Pere Noel People know him just as well Santa Claus, St. Nicholas too I know him by all of these...do you? No matter where you come from No matter where you go No matter what folks call him He's a figure we all know Dressed in red, or white or blue Beard of white, big old sack We know him by so many things And if you're good he will come back Whether filling stockings up Or filling up your wooden shoes Santa comes on Christmas Eve And takes away your Christmas blues Father Christmas, Pere Noel People know him just as well Santa Claus, St. Nicholas too I know him by all of these...do you? Noel Baba, or Kris Kringle He can make those sleigh bells jingle San Niklaw or Babbo Natale The rat pack all loved him pally! Do you know him as a skinny man ? Or is he round and jolly ? It doesn't matter much to me It's all mistletoe and holly Father Christmas, Pere Noel People know him just as well Santa Claus, St. Nicholas too I know him by all of these...do you? He helps make Christmas what it is Although the season isn't his Don't forget the holy side Just let your heart act as your guide Pay it forward, pay it back Remember Santa and his sack Do unto others as you'd have done And pay respects to God's son Father Christmas, Pere Noel People know him just as well Santa Claus, St. Nicholas too I know him by all of these...do you?

Father Christmas, Pere Noel
Christmas died with Santa Clause when I reached a certain age. The magic revealed as scam, the wonder now an act maintained for the sake of form. This descended, in my teens, into outright distaste - all the trappings a failed attempt to light a lost wonderland; a decorated tree incongruous and distasteful as a chimp in a suit. Anger waned, disinterest set in, and I merely wished to avoid it all. But through your eyes a miracle occurs: Papa Noel, mistaking his season, makes an Easter of Christmas by rising triumphant. A tinsel star becomes a true Polaris and love, for anybody's sake, is everything.

I have always wondered what kind of lover a pianist would be- if they play others as smoothly as they do their instrument With a strategic stride in their precision Or if the touch is just as tender as the keys are embraced- Philharmonic touch Can a voice tune their heart as such? I'm curious If they find themselves as lost in another just as they do in the journey of their music When I see the amount of passion portrayed in a musicians performance I can't help but find myself lost somewhere in between (C) Tiffanie Noel Doro

My heart could explode as I sit before you and even so- With each jagged edge- I would still love I have learned the meaning of bravery And love most certainly is the prerogative of the brave However I will not lay to be struck a fool- A fly in the widows web- Bundled and motionless- Awaiting to be drained of my will I will fight with the prerogative of the self respecting I will hold my head and my heart high- Whatever the condition may be (C) Tiffanie Noel Doro

The self respecting
The Lives and Times of John Keats, Percy Bysshe Shelley, and George Gordon Noel, Lord Byron Byron and Shelley and Keats Were a trio of Lyrical treats. The forehead of Shelley was cluttered with curls, And Keats never was a descendant of earls, And Byron walked out with a number of girls, But it didn't impair the poetical feats Of Byron and Shelley, Of Byron and Shelley, Of Byron and Shelley and Keats.

I believe that one of the most important pieces of advice I can give to children is to find your passion. Find it and send it soaring to the highest points of your mind. It does not matter the passion and it does not matter how liked by others it is. Art, writing, sports, music, science, whatever. If it makes you feel alive every time you indulge in it then never let it go. It will be your hand in hard times and good times alike. Never spend your life moving so fast that you have no passionate memories to speak of. Live! And do it with the upmost optimism and enjoyment. Live so you leave this world with peace of mind and fulfillment. (C) Tiffanie Noel Doro

Here I write some recipes, From our anti--football league, How to cook a football totally, Must boil it for twelve hours, ritually, Then you can dice it and fricassee, Or maybe bake, broil, and grill, What won't fatten, shall fill, Or you can make mini-football custard, eh, Chocolate footballs in a bowl, let's say, We call it Footy Iles Flotante, Star sweet in the anti-football restaurant! Then a recipe for Grand Final Day, swell, It's called footy Croquembouche Noel! Hear the anti-footballers yell! You, too, can write recipes, For the Anti-football Society, It's like dining at the Waldorf Astoria, Anti-football recipes from Melbourne, Victoria!

HOW TO COOK A FOOTBALL!!
It is with great sadness that I must announce that wit has withered and died. Actually, it probably died years back, but, like a character on a soap opera, it returns in flashbacks on occasion. The ability to use wit to insult, as Will Rogers, Dorothy Parker, and the great writers of the past is no more. The use of wit to make someone leave feeling good about themselves, while having just been put in their place verbally, is an art. I told someone the other day that he was a veldt of intellect, he didn’t know what veldt meant, I could see from the complete look of “duh” on his face. He told me **** off….and then after I laughed, he said it again. This is the replacement comeback now….fuck off. Witty…at the least. Groucho Marx, was great with the witty comeback, Noel Coward was a genius with his ability to use wit to disarm a situation. Now, **** off. yep….that’s it. If, wit has a resurgence and there is a verbal afterlife, let’s hope **** off is left at the door, holding a copy of watchtower.

the Death of Wit
Piano keys vibrate in his chest But the lines are so fine and fragile The notes are falling off the page Cut out by the cellos maze Tender differences Beautiful and strange He felt almost honored by the elusion music had  given birth to Synthetic love From batting lashes Disguised by devine- rhythm and rhyme To simply taste the sweets reservation had denied him (C) Tiffanie Noel Doro

My recollection of you is that of the universe At times seemingly vacant But its just the contrary- consumed with magnificent new discoveries Each one captivating and beyond my capability of expressing beauty But I'm afraid You will never let me see Though I have tried beyond my bounds It seems to be a game full with vain (C) Tiffanie Noel Doro

Underestimated understanding
in my mind, i work at a third world convention, bleeding saliva and avocado paint behind a mule's *** like seeking coverage was difficult or something. now it's past the pillaging of painted americans, valleys once rolled with corn and feather's weight, but seized by nation's serious fathers. the table creaks as sister literally screams, "Grace!" and the cotton tablecloth even bows its head in poultry's spicy scent. i said it was past, un-remembered after a murderer (more than) antagonized another's HDTV (bold, high, pronounces, and shrieks more shivering-ly than when a spider stepped on my toe). now there are halos beginning to blush, vibratos crescendoing to the last of leaf's sultry breath. Noel was large-eyed, carols twirling lighter than snow. they made the Lord wonderous, because o, my baby king, the manger was not a velvet cushion, and neither will his (or your) days to come.

I am from devouring chapter books and making music from the Chronicles of Narnia to falling in love with the piano I am from the kingdoms of playgrounds and pools Enjoyed with unforgettable friends on serene summer evenings (Blissful innocence, alive with imagination, it was permeated with endless laughter) I am from the blushing pink roses, the cheerful cherry blossoms in my front yard the epitome of beauty and the color I have always been drawn to I’m from the warm family dinners at the kitchen table and unconditional love from Noel and Thelma and Hope and Charity I’m from the songs of gladness and hearts of thanksgiving From choose to let your mistakes make you better not bitter and think on whatever is lovely and true I’m from trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding I’m from Brooklyn and the Philippines, Cheesy New York pizza and sizzling chicken adobo From nights enthralled with captivating characters in wondrous worlds of books The sweet strolls on sunset beaches with my dad and mom in cherished pretty photo albums I am from formidable obstacles that taught me to never give up

Where I'm From
She made her home in a hundred different people- Inside the desert of her heart A brawl of sorts It didn't much matter the type Just as long as they were living Perhaps to capture even the tiniest of thread- Of what it felt like to encompass the sensation Of the lines that our nerves dance along in the presence of a warm touch Only- As the heightened flight began to ******* in gravity She was left in hunger- A vulture Devouring the living Only to continue walking beside them (C) Tiffanie Noel Doro

We endeavor to construct boxes and file folders This life being ****** complex And messy to boot, so we approximate sanity By filling compartments and writing thumbnail biographies, And even though she packed the costume admirably (Already forty, mind you, but nowhere near gone to fat) Julie Newmar had already filled both outfit and niche (And never mind Halle Berry’s turn, Different raiment for a different time, after all, And one suspects the next iteration of said slinky supervillainess Will wear nothing more than feline-shaped ****** rings), Not to mention she’d already entered our collective consciousness With a frothy Noel novelty (unsubstantial, inconsequential In and of its ownself, perhaps, but then one considers The version foisted off on the populace by that woman Who appropriated the moniker of the Blessed ****** All phoned-in faux Betty Boop, and one reconsiders) So this was who she was, the book closed and sealed (English only, never mind the other three tongues she spoke Plus three more she proficiently purred in.) They say when she died, she did not go gently, as it were, But screamed and yowled for all she was still worth, And maybe it was the cancer, certainly enough to do the job itself, But perhaps it was the notion That her era of innuendo and intimation was all done, That she was transitioning to the static, to becoming a legacy, A permanence that was stalking her, Murderous, insatiable, inexorable.

Just where have those bullet proof arms gone? The ones that held the back of my head as it rested on your chest and wrapped around my back with my body partially spread across yours The arms my memory will always chase through the imprints of your vibrant precence Never neglecting to reflect on the smile- The eyes that were filled with such strength Bravery I could never explain   A diligently beating heart against an army of thieves Gone in a winter’s night- With the stars we dare to adore too soon for words too late for thought Reflections of the good fill us now and forever will (C) Tiffanie Noel Doro

You can wait for life. However, I guarantee you that you will find no trace of it. It will leave you behind in an instant. Life waits for no beat- Whether it be faint or piercing so I advice you to stop watching sand fall and unleash the you that I have so vividly admired since the first unspoken second you stole my eyes from me. You are passion and fire- Stewing in suppressed beauty It's about time you shower this world in your words (C) Tiffanie Noel Doro
