She was in her heavy, heavy
          Auspicious reds
On that cold winter's night,
When he arrived in white.

She stood shivering, dreaming
Of domestic bliss
And watching mindless films
On new couches with the plastic still on them
And pitter-pattering little feet.
She didn't know the names
Of some of the things she wanted
But she wanted them anyway.

All she got was barked orders
Of "have tea ready by 6 am sharp,"
And "you missed a spot."

And she is shackled
Under the weight
Of her oppressive reds.
She is scrubbing; she is trapped;
She lines her forehead every day,
Right where her hair is parted,
With the red of her blood
And devotion.

And he whispers to her
In the silence of the night that's on their shoulders by now
When they're at a traffic light,
Waiting on the blink,
"I'll send you a bill,
For each day and
                                night."

Though as innocent as she looks,
                An evil deception she cooks.
Plotted events,
                she disguised as Destiny
Flaunts her perfect body,
But behind the curtains counts every calorie
A hint of arrogance,
                while saying "I'm just ordinary"
Compliments given
As a product of her calculating eyes
Thus your ego being fed with her lies

Her hidden smirk,
                 Behind her pretentious worries
Those men, they fell, to her made up stories...
Some girls though they look innocent...  They could hide something you wouldnt want to believe thay have.

The math adds up I can't deny. I find most men weren't made to fly. Solid bones pull me down, wingless I still touch the ground. I yearn for something higher.
standing wordless yet repeating my desires. I feel the smoke on my soul, my heart like a coal. My minds a machine, churning out dreams. Unreachable, unreachable, without means I lie still. And hope to find a way to reconstruct my will. So I can float in a apparatus surviving but not striving like every other human being.
My Foe cluttered down the pit
He painstakingly dug for me
         To pitch down
            Head first

In Amharic there is a saying "One will fall in the trap he designs for other's."
To such colleague of mine.

"I'm just happy she didn't fall into that trap"*

Boy, my neck snapped from that trap long ago
But you don't focus on me unless you see what you want to

Meeting you
Liquefied my heart
Brought it down to a state of art
Where knowing you has become such a blessing
And letting go of you will be lethally hard.
Time has pushed you in the center.
Mind has my ***** wrapping around you.
Slowly but indefinitely,
Closing the gap
No one can have you now
I froze you in my trap
Now as my heart begins to  set
Feeling each string of my art attach
I know the treasure it holds inside

It is you, my love
Just you and i.

I am
A captive of this home
This burden of solitude
Mine to carry, alone.
I crave
The sunshine upon my skin
Not its touch from the looking glass
A glimpse of the life I miss.
I lie
Upon this bed of persistent woes
With blankets wrapped like a spider's net
I am to never know the cold.
I see
The seasons change from my windowsill
As my life passes I feel loss
Am I to never know free will?
I cry
Because the doors are all unlocked
The windows are all open
But my mind can't escape this box.
Anxiety can be crippling. I've seen it in myself, friends, and family. It can keep you from even leaving your own bed.

like a dog chasing her tale,
since I've known you,
you've been under my spell.

like a child,
time did tell,
I grew to know you very well.

Then one day,
I grew clumsy and fell into your thrill
and you left me codependent and unable to feel.
