She offered me her heart
And I broke it.

I kept a piece
It once stung
Like a glass shard piercing flesh.

Yet now I feel it
Form and essence
Warm and tender
Longing to be touched
Longing to be held
Longing to be loved.

On one hand
I feel like the thief
The taker of what was never mine
to take.

On the other hand
I feel like the giver
Who offers his heart
to another.

Maybe they in turn
Will shatter my heart
Taking a piece
Which was never theirs to take.

When the time comes
I will rebuild my heart
The heart with a piece now missing
And I will only be able to repair
With the piece I stole before.

Burglar of the night,
Why steal my light?
What can you gain,
From waking my bane?

How do you appear,
Instilling fear,
In my weak heart,
Like throwing a dart.

Kidnapping my glow,
In one quick flow,
Have you no soul,
you bottomless bowl.

But I will move on,
As tides are drawn,
I would say bye,
But I got to fly.

Light burglar.

there's a thief on the loose

stealing young girl's hearts
   here and there

and sometimes out of no where
he'll shatter their hearts as if they
    were nothing.

as if they were nothing
  as if they were nothing
     as if they were nothing

there's a thief on the loose

stealing young girl's hearts
  brace yourselves
    oh, brace yourselves.
ew, what is this. xD

All that I done for you
So many I cannot count
I hope you'd care for me too
But my wishes, to you didn't amount
The energy I spent, I time I gave
You took, oh so eagerly
But it was your turn, you saved
And hid everything selfishly
Is it wrong to ask the same
Or if not a little more?
Do you think my love's a game?
Why is giving such a chore?

Perhaps I've been blinded to see
All your self-conceitedness
In truth, you never loved me
A thief of love and innocence

Beautiful blue berries

Blood red cherries…

Swirling in the night

Chocolate chip covered thief appearing with fright

The beat of the candy heart vibrates with weak deliciousness

While the frozen dessert screams its loyal wickedness

There was a flaw in the meal

For the law wasn’t happy and signed the seal

A perfect good journey turns into a nightmare

The monstrous ice cream still screaming its snare

And now the story rises

As the peanut butter footsteps arrives and surprises

A strawberry invitation is handed to the achiever

Icy tears hangs like icicles from the law breaker

The peanut butter melts away and now the story reaches its ******

The salty eyes are now side tracked

Beautiful blue berries

Blood red cherries…

They suddenly disappear

The candy heart beat slows and is replaced with cold fear

Ice cream drips into silence cutting off its screams

Chocolate chip covered thief fades, leaving a ghost of its beams

The flashing thief in the night

Is finally gone, but the emptiness leaves a fright

Yea I was hungry and extremely frightened

So when the police stopped me, my imagination became deliciously enlightened
I remember being so little when I wrote this lol

He was a thief;
Stealing time he wasn't supposed to give to her.
The stranger rode up
as we sat round the fire
it was burning down low
and we were beginning to tire

He tied off his ride
By some brush by a boulder
He was just a young lad
Though in the dark he looked older

We offered him coffee
said sit down, have a cup
We said if you're hungry
There's still food to sup

He accepted and thanked us
Said he'd got lost on the trail
With the north winter winds
Bringing on early hail

He pulled up a stump
I saw a slight flash of tin
I said "you're a lawman"
he just gave a grin

I'm from up in Kansas
was back to my home
Had to visit my mama
she's all on her own

I poured him a coffee
And I told him what's what
I said it isn't the best
But, it's sure as heck hot

I smiled at his lie
And I stoked at the fire
I thought to myself
This man's a liar

I said "in this here circle"
"we may not all be friends"
"so, toss a log on this fire"
"and we'll hear how this ends"

He reached for a log
placed it in, didn't throw
didn't reach for the poker
moved it round with his toe

"The rules of the fire"
"Is that the tender regales"
"The rest of the members"
"with a song or some tales'

"since you just got here"
"and the fire is hot"
"tell us a story"
"give the best that you've got"

He shuffled a little
Took a sip, and began
And it just took a minute
To hook us all, every man

He talked of the rustlers
He'd been chasing around
How they got in a shoot out
How, they'd all gone to ground

He lived life a plenty
For a man of his age
He was just twenty three
But, he spoke out like a sage

He'd regaled us with stories
As the fire burned low
We were all getting tired
But, we did not want to go

He pushed at the embers
Again with his boot
He finished his coffee
And he lit a cheroot

For two hours he talked
Since the fire rules said
that the fire was his
Till we chose to all bed

When we woke in the morning
We found he took flight
He left our small fire
In the dead of the night

The fire was burning
And there was a fresh *** of brew
But the stranger was missing
And our saddle bags too

I was right when I reckoned
That he was telling us lies
I could tell from the way
He didn't look in our eyes

The boots didn't fit
He was just stretching them out
By heating them up in the fire
and moving about

He sure was no lawman
He was a teller of tales
Truths , half truths and lies
He had them by the pail

We packed up our camp
Tried to pick up the trail
Of this campfire thief
With the devilish tail

We knew we'd find him
For liars repeat
He'd come back to our fire
And we'd give him a seat....

Once upon a time a girl met a thief
She saw through his tricks, he opened her eyes
Their love was quite great but their time was quite brief
And once she was gone the world heard his cries

He hung his head low and his knees hit the floor
Another man came and offered to end the despair
The thief begged him "do it" and the thief was no more
The man simply laughed as his howls pierced the air

Muscles turned over as flesh turned to fur
Ears grew long and fangs sprout from jaws
The new body takes over while his mind starts to blur
Eyes glow like fire and blood drips from his claws

To break this curse a brave one you must be
For none can live, when the Beast is set free

Like a thief
My heart was poached
Causing me to fall
In the spiral of
Love.
But I did not know
The thief was evil
Causing me pain
Each day.
Shambling my hear
For the satisfaction
Of his own.
Never,
Never have I thought
I could be whole once more.
Then I met another thief
Who glued the
pieces one by one.
