Maniacal Escape Jun 2020
Basking in the glow of a lacerated sun
Dripping blessed rays, life pools in an agonising emptiness.
Smile upon me with your godless grace
Light of life, prying open a necrophyte visage
Spotlight upon a murderous parade
Of life and happiness. Always watching with
Catastrophic intent and purging flame.
Behold the beacon of rage as it rips
At your vision. Blinding illumination.
A scar in the sky.
Cataclysmic vista.

life is a voyage across the sea.
you may end up in a storm.
you try to control your ship
when you hear the siren
taunting you with promises.

"you don't need to face this."
"there's an easy way out."
"you can give up."
"let the wind take you."
"what's the point of this?"

those promises are weightless.
you know the siren will lead you
into what seems like your paradise,
then throw you off the ship
and leave you to the sharks.

even as that voice tempts you,
listen to the hopeful voice inside you,
the one that reminds you of your power.
"it may be difficult right now,
but this storm won't last forever."

you can then adjust your sails,
tell your crew what you need,
and safely get through the storm's eye.
when you get through, the storm fades.
the sunshine warms you up, and you sail.
it is not hopeless. you can get through this.
Gabriel Girault Jul 2020
She was like the sunshine hitting a blank canvas, paint splattered with the colors of all the flowers in the physical and ethereal worlds. Although it looked messy at first glance, you could tell she was put together with the finest of details.
She was the hope that defeated the darkness and the light that guided the lost.
She was Love and heaven if they beat hell and hate. As strong and compassionate as one could become.
Through everything she pursued she was an oak plank holding her entire life together. Sturdy and just enough to keep the water from crashing in all at once.
She was everything she needed to be.

i feel blue.

the empty void
managed to purloin
my color
only to scatter it
on the earth.

i feel blue, once again,
for i have forgotten
the flower’s color.

i feel blue,
sad and empty,

but i remember once more
a miracle
who came from heaven’s
sudden outburst of emotions:

you.

a blossom
tinged with one hue at a time,
who swallowed
every shade
cascading down
from the rose clouds.

you are one color,
and then the next,
but you’re also a riot
of all the hues in the spectrum.

and i no longer feel blue,
but yellow.
of sunshine and daisies.
Like sunshine flowing
Abundance without end
That inner knowing
The comfort of a friend

Like first light at dawn
With warmth penetrating
Energy from God
After night of waiting

Colored sky at dusk
Marking this day’s ending
I’ve given my best
That hearts may be mending

Sunshine in my heart
Keeps my hopes exciting
And ever-lasting wealth
Appear at my inviting

You know that feeling when the morning sunshine penetrates your skin and seems to penetrate into your heart and mind?  Well, that's the feeling of prosperity.

I do believe in getting literal sunshine in your life, and even more importantly, getting the feeling of that sunshine and keep it all the time!

I draw the curtains open,
unlock the window,
let the sunlight in
and kiss my bare skin softly.

The trees are waving
welcoming at me
while the birds
greet me with their
cheerful chirping.

I can feel
the fresh breeze
dancing through my hair,
then I breathe it
deep into my lungs.

I keep myself alive,
surviving night after night
so I could waking up
to another sunrise

And look forward
for sunshine
as warm as summer
at noon.
#Sunshine is about letting the light in and give you hope to survive in difficult situations.
