Echos through the city
Filling it with a roar

Crashing through walls
Rumbling through windows
Cutting through the air

It calms me
Soothes me
Grounds me

It’s awesome power
That’s paradoxically silent
Stands still and tall

It’s subtle vibration
That’s gently rough
Flows far and wide

It’s dark melody
That’s unforgettably ominous
Sings through the atmosphere

It’s charged.

Quick.

Merely a bubble of excited particles

Bouncing off one another in glee

Yet…

It’s slow…
Climactic…

…It’s beautiful.

From such chaos comes so much beauty, so much feeling, so much sound

From such chaos, comes so much life

Here I rest

And here I’m calm

Here, I am safe
Had some wicked thunder storms round my parts lately

The eye of the storm-
Reins one's worry
See beyond,
behind the chaos is the Calm.
To make it through a storm

at first, the thunder cracks my eardrum.
the rain punches the soft ground after
being held back by the clouds for so long,
and I cannot see past the blanket of darkness.
as the storm rages on, the thunder roars,
but my body knows best like it always does.
my hands carefully craft a cup of strong tea,
and my body rests in front of the fireplace,
and the obnoxious thunder lowers its voice,
and the violent rain's touch becomes softer,
and I finally see the light peeking through.

A grey blanket wrapped the sunlight,
Soon, the daylight turned into dark night.
Black clouds captured the blue sky,
Dusty ѕtorm covered the whole surrounding, before my eyes.

The sky roared and clouds clashed,
Environment trembled when thunderbolts flashed.
Happiness engulfed, when it drizzled some raindrops,
And from then, it rained... it rained nonstop!
Raining, Raining and Raining....

Willows unearth themselves
all along the coast line of this small beach town
They spend the off season gnarled-
empty & reaching
stretching towards the shipwrecked siren call of the waters below
these willows dropping in the ocean are weeping
And so am I

She smells like summer rain
and wet hair.
Like the forest after a storm
drowning in the sky's blessings.
She walks like chaos,
a cacophony of arms and legs
that jolt in the direction of travel.
She stands tall, with dark undereyes
and a dress that stops flowing
around her waist
but does not end
until **** near
her feet.
She stalks the night like a pedator and prey
all in one.

And she looks at me.

Trickling down the skies above does rain kiss the land solemnly, Moonlight hidden from eyesight to protect lunar fantasies from brutal realities,
The storm rages.

The dust storm
Whipped the world red
Trees all freaked out, I and my brother
We climbed up the solar panels
On the roof
And laughed
In the face of the sky

The city swirled
With the drunken stars
And lights bled
In our flooded eyes
Laughing does that to you
We did not weep
For the sky did
And darkness
Was a horde of wasps let loose
It devoured our sweet,
Ripened day

I grabbed his wrist
And spun him around
Our feet kissing
The grumpy, old ground
We blended
Like ink in milk
Stirred round and round
And round ran the heavens

We laughed
Laughed our stomachs
To painful exhaustion
And the gusts hissed on
Rain sneaked down our clothes
Ran soft touches
All over

Do you ever settle down
On the edge of the world
And watch the beautiful
Oblivion chase itself?
Do you ever laugh
Even a dog moves on from its tail
After a while
Or whisper
“Will you not stop? Will you not stop
For I am here
I have climbed a thousand peaks
And slaughtered many a ravenous
Creatures
In the valleys of time
to get to you
Will you not stop?”

A gust of hues.

It says something
And you grasp it, you
Grasp it almost
Almost
But what is it
If not an oblivion?
Unfathomable

And a voice comes
From around, inside or
Maybe somewhere in between
Maybe
Maybe nowhere at all
It ruffles your hair
And pats your cheek
Have you forgotten your place
Little human?

Winds then shushed
The clouds away
From their beloved sun
And gold gleamed
Up, below, and in between
Every pearl that plummeted,
Blushing
I watched the sunset
Peep out the night
And I wondered
If rain was overrated

Have you forgotten you place
little human?

Because when the euphoria dies down
And cold begins to bite
You watch the raindrops
Beat the world to silence
And day breathes its
Last laughs

You wonder
“What now?” What now?
You wrap an arm around an arm
And shiver
What now?
Even a dog gets tired
Of whirling

What now?

Nothing,
The hues whisper
Now sit on the edge of oblivion
And we will do our magic

And maybe the world
Still chases its tail around
But you forget
For a breath or two.
