Let's swim about, Peter
Mimic my sound

Speak my language
You precious bottle-nose

The trouble you have
With the letter M
Sure makes funny bubbles
Beneath the surface

What then should we talk of
This morning?
Miss Kelly, perhaps

Every room
Is an island, my child

Never isolate your love

Let it run to the sea
It's where I will always be
Thomas W. Case's Historical Figure Poetry Challenge, Margaret Howe Lovatt. In the 1960s, she took part in a NASA-funded research project in which she attempted to teach a dolphin named Peter to understand and mimic human speech. This while living in a half-submerged dwelling to have continuous contact with him.

one word
just one spark
one soul
just one race

remember

we built a tower up to heaven
reaching up and out to Him
curious to what’s beyond
united in our purpose then

one tongue
one mind
one hand
we climbed

the tower

and was it wrong to search the sky?
to know the angels, brush their wings?
was it wrong to meditate?
to equate ourselves to kings?

and when He deemed we rose too high
He brought the tower to the ground
colored flesh and broke our tongues
with a hard hand held us down

remember
the tower

and was it wrong to search the sky
with all those stars we looked upon?
to see the truths eluding us?
to know what heaven lies beyond?
The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.  Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”
power is a freedom of speech

a will of freedom is a power of speech
will of freedom, power of speech, freedom of justice
freedom is a speech of power
justice is a speech of justice

justice is a court of speech
justice is a court of power
justice is a court of will
freedom court freedom
a will of speech is a speech of court
humans court power
humans court freedom

human wants power
human wants freedom of speech
human wants to raise human to power
human wants to raise human to speech of power
human wants to raise human to freedom
human is a raising power
human is a rising power
my writing is called philosophical writing. i only uses middle ages words, words liked gracious, extravaganza, etc… the meaning of the word “court” is for instance like a tennis court. the word “court” does not mean as for instance a judge power to the court. this poem is about a rising power is a raise of power. i don’t add capitalization’s on my writing.

THE WORDS YOU                    CANNOT SAY
The words you cannot say
Could possibly change the a day
Save a life
                 Change ones view --
-- Away from that of which they thought they knew

The words you cannot say ..

                 The wounds, you caused ,
Will not go away...

           You try but---
cannot turn away....
For you're the cause of so much hardship and dismay----
---This may be the only way
To say that witch you cannot say---
-----  They, may be the words you needed
to overcome the  memories that can't be deleted...

The feelings will be never depleted
   Unless you speak it ....

The words I cannot say
         Haunt me til this day...
Wishing  you could speak up. Or wanting to make a situation better  but  fearing that you will have the opposite effect

Desirable:

• Colourful life-history, and a keen eye/ear for human and natural dynamics, and the capacity to dissolve the distinction.

Please submit sample below:

There was a tree. Indeed, there was a tree... that night we played with Gertrude or some girl or boy or some other echo or other.

Had she not mentioned the issue with the fragmentary interjections by candidates? The capacity of evocation is lost with this fashion for modernism [Golden light of blue buzzard and some such and wot not before azure cream in winter time and  crystalline glaze] and its reflexive interruptions. Perhaps she should start again. [Does it even need to be a word? And what is this anyway?]. Re: Start again - good lord we are forced to read some nonsense [in the steam rows and the bath cabin], often with a similar flow. What about the art of pleasing our palate? We bump our heads against the brackets, elliptical conjurings and compound punctuation: -

Oh! ... Out of time? Battery low? Well, this will have to be the submission then. Good luck.

A clipped voice,
slips noise-
lessly
into
the fray.

Yellow
and shaky.
Bland, I know.
I hate to
Say.

Butterfly
in a storm,
normally deep.
I crack,
lacking wingspan.

Headcave retreat.
Feet save
my mouth.
Because the wrong
thing ran.
How public speaking feels
Maja Apr 2020
I wrote this for myself,
not for its appeal,

you can say what you want,
but so can I feel

Freedom of speech,
that is written in ink

you can say what you want
and I can think what I think

Yell your opinion,
try to change my mind

try, try
to make me as blind

It’s my decision,
right to decide,

You can say what you want,
but so can I

Write what you want,
sing your choice of song

you can believe that you're right,
but that doesn’t mean I’m wrong
Just because you have the right to an opinion, doesn't mean I don't.
You can think that your right
but that doesn't mean I'm wrong.

Freedom of speech,
Freedom of thoughts.
Freedom to believe,
Freedom to not.
