Take hold of her porcelain hand, and whisk her away
Wrapped in ribbons, through rolling hills, dancing until the
sun-drenched morn
Laughter and song, and shelter provide, for the hearts whose names are penned,
Intertwined in lovesick song, spoken sweetly, that summer in May
Written 02/03/19

This poem sums itself up all on it's own. Making it one of My favorites. Written about the beauty of having a soulmate to share life's most soul-searching moments with. I pray this poem encourages You to truly cherish the special person in Your life. I hope You enjoy. God bless.

But she's exposed herself.
Flesh and bone protruding out the protective bubble.
She's only just gone and dragged herself to the margins of society.
Removed from the warmth of the gooey womb she supresses a lingering shiver.
Now she resides in a ***** dimension. Present, not quite faded yet.
Now the perfectly grown princess has self-inflicted chips on her shoulders.
Addicted to self-flagulation she tries to regress back home to her former alter.
Beyond. Reach.
A stone bleeding with pleasure weighs down the remains of her birth right.
aANotes on my sheltered upbringing and how I purposly sabotaged my background and privilidged future because of the choices I made.

When the time would come,
if ever
And against their judgement, I'll choose to flee
Don't run away.

Stay,
And I'll be quiet in the corner;
The visitor
Don't worry,
I won't ask
if there's room for another broken soul

We broken souls
harbor all the space
There is.

We broken souls
save home for a never.

The rising tide brings peace
Healing brokenness in this place
Sweeps and swirls and doesn’t cease
There in the depths of His grace
Holding back just on the verge
My wounds are only kissed
No fears within submerge
In merely strumming mist
Long drenched by anxiety
But completely parched beneath
My failing shelter of piety
Like a fearful sword in its sheath
Now I’m discontent just to be
Held in such a mighty hand
Longing with pride to use me
But immobile at His command
Yet grace crashes at the rubble
Each rock was a feeble attempt
To build above my trouble
No carpenter to preempt
The cross a simple design
Has stood throughout the ages
So all this mess I will resign
To redeeming force that rages
Though this awesome sea I dread
It will overcome my doubt
If by tattered wood I’m led
Until life as loss I count
I’m standing in the middle
And my strength is growing
Beyond this frame so little
Here’s where the power’s flowing
Now the risen tide of peace
Rolling calmly over my face
Sweeps, swirls and will never cease
Here in the ocean of His grace

Seeking shelter:
From the cold of loneliness,
From the rain of tears,
From the heat of temper,
From the frost of fear.

When you find that shelter -
Make it home.

A dog shouldn't spend it's life in a cage,
Where even a week can feel like an age.
Sad and alone, not knowing when it will end,
Wishing and hoping for a new human friend.
But thanks to every volunteer's donated time,
And every donators dollar, cent or dime,
A new life is given to each beautiful pooch,
A new family to love, cuddle and smooch.
So thank you to everyone, your kindness is rare,
We thank you so much, for your help and your care.

~ Written for the Oahu SPCA
The Oahu SPCA is the largest animal welfare organization in the state of Hawaii. On July 18, 2009, 432 animals were relinquished to the Oahu SPCA after the owner of an animal sanctuary in Waianae passed away. The Oahu SPCA rescued all 432 animals in 48 hours, which marked the largest animal rescue in the history of Hawaii.
Every day they strive to help, care and re-home beautiful animals; animals that don't ask for anything but a forever family.

When yes is a gift
wrapped in love wrapped in
reason wrapped
in daydream wrapped in
self doubt wrapped
in pain wrapped in
silence—
it is likely no, wrapped
in bitterness

When no is a gift
wrapped in love wrapped in
insight wrapped
in waking wrapped in
bloom wrapped
in shelter wrapped in
truth spoken—
it is yes,
unwrapped

From miles out in the horizon, a storm was headed our way;
The oceans waves rolled with fury and  would  hit land today.
People boarded up their homes and headed for a safe place to stay;
This storm of fury was a level four hurricane destroying everything in it's way.
As it hit landfall with it's massive force;
All we could do is pray it would weaken or shift to another coarse.
The raging winds roared above 100mph as it continued on it's path;
We all took shelter as we waited in fear to see it's aftermath.
Never in our history have we witnessed such a beast;
The wrath of mother nature was hungry and our land was her feast.
Shingles flew from rooftops, trees lifted from their roots, thousands left with no power, some were homeless in the street.
Many things we can control in this world but mother nature we will never defeat.
Hurricane Michael made his way and left just as fast;
The storm of October 10, 2018 will soon be a memory past.
Thank God it's over I've seen my share of storms but nothing to compare .
