Bassam A Dec 2014
The year has ended prosperously ..
At least for me .. I don't know about you
I accomplished most of my goals
I am glad that we got to know each other

I hope that we can find
a common ground in our book,
a single page that we both stop at and rest
For that to happen I will have to slow down
or you may speed up

I may stop and wait for you
at the next coffee shop ... "Café Je T'aime"
Hope to see you there more often
My new resolution for this year is
"to keep loving you and keep our love strong"

Wish you a Very Happy Year Anew
K Balachandran Dec 2014
Did any flower bloom, in your garden today, check out now
Love alone is the flower with fragrance, don't water the rest.
An year reigned is dead, the overcast sky clearly proclaims
A dark shroud covers the sky, hiding the good cheer we need.

Alone, I climb up the winding road to the hilltop, to view
The sunset, it reminds the past year of painful events
The skyline looks blood smeared, from a corner fire erupts
Making hate the recurring motif, what's happening to the world?

Technologies to share information is no good, if we aren't sane.
If we use that to sow evil seeds of hatred, poison spreads.
Life turns a mess, all the wealth has no meaning without peace.
Are we not ashamed to be vengeful like barbarians, **** each other?
Didn't Gandhi prove, nonviolence is the weapon against brute force?
Silence Screamz Dec 2014
Resolution is my delusion
Nothing gets done
Distance comes the warning
Minutes turn to none

We wish to the event
Time takes it's course
Calculating all the pressure
All forsaken remorse
Failure of a resolution

Dreams of you.

What is peace
A squall of grit,
Coarseness caught in teeth.
The earth spits resolution.
I do not accept it.

Long ago, I fell into the sea.
My tongue tasted salt
My body
Was tugged by tide
But tomorrow it'll wash you

Away
This is written as a drunk. Edited sober.
I'm still trying and crying
Feeling like I'm dying
Stop lying,
             I'm not buying
I'm not relying on what your supplying
Keep denying what your implying
All this prying and spying
Leaves me sighing
I'm no longer complying
No more trying
I'm done crying

Your going down,
           make you drown
Lose the frown,
        talk of the town
Drop the crown
Actin like a clown,
                showdown
Got pushed down,
        shot down
Put down,
      knocked down
Left laying on the ground
But I'm coming around

In preclusion to the confusion
I've come to a conclusion
I'm not losin this illusion
         Tired of your aggression
I'm left in seclusion
It's a transition,
           a new resolution
It's not confusin
I'm winning this aggravation

        Just
             Some
         Food
      For
              Thought
Closure is hardly ever
the clean cut we desire;
it can warp in heated,
heavy air
-putrid convolution-
an apple core shrinking inside
itself (till its existence
is defined by its silent
exodus).
I wish I'd known this sooner.
I wish I'd left sooner.
Let's make a toast partake if you hear my voice beyond the coasts.

To our past the hurst, the Many learning curves buried in the sands of time.

To our here and now The good the bad and the ugly take a bow.

To our future I hope you never
come.
A toast

I am the sword that splits the world in twain.
I am the shield upon which pain breaks.
I am the storm that rages in your heart.
I am the rain that patters softly across your cheeks.
I am the cheerful madman waltzing down your street.
Written in the same style, almost, and as a sequel to the poem I wrote a few hours ago 'Madness'.
L Marie Oct 2014
My days are like never ending dreams;
I'm glad to say I'm happy to be
Alive; in such a daze, I walk in
As I watch Hell's fiery tongue
Retrieve, as my blessings sink in deep
And all my devastation resolves;
In this hectic mess, such happy ends
Must be a hoax; how can someone so
Unlucky have so many miracles?
It must be a dream: please, don't wake up.
we made a resolution with our heads bent close together in the fading dusk and danger zone of parked cars on a highway. a pact and a promise we'd keep. we put our pinkies together as a shake that meant yes, always. always. silly and stupid is who we were, leaning past the steering wheel and the straps of our seat belts to find that spot in my neck.
monday 22nd september '14 ~ wrote a while back to matt corby's 'resolution' ~ clearly fate caused us to bump into the gorgeous martyn in the lolly aisle at coles
