I just wanna see you again;
I just wanna hear you once more;
You left me all alone in this cold world;
I miss you;
I have sleepless nights with you on my mind;
At dreary hours of the morning I would cry realizing that we'll never be together;
That's the worst of all;
Why can't we just be happy together?
Why are you scared?
Don't be scared nor worried;
I'll treasure you because you're just a valuable piece of art that hasn't been collected as yet;
I wanna make you happy;
See your beautiful smile;
See your golden heart;
I wanna know that you're happy;
I wanna go into deep conversations with you at night;
I want us to talk about life;
Maybe just maybe you can have a different perspective;
You gotta realize I love you and I'm not gonna let you go.
haven't written in a while, kinda rusty

A Hello Poetry song*

I came on the site today
To see what I could see
I wasn't quite sure how I felt
A bit depressed and wee

I went through my poetfriends
Find someone who could help
Read something uplifting
To reboot myself

I looked at a poet
Who reposts other's ink
And sure enough, I found some stuff
The whole kitchen sink!

I went down the repost rabbit hole
Just to have a look
Down the repost rabbit hole
To read some people's work
Down the repost rabbit hole
To find a different way
Down the repost rabbit hole
I learn more each day!

I'm quite sure you've been there
Looking for someone who
Has ♥'d one of your poems
And found someone NEW!

If you love adventure
And like to be free
Come down the repost rabbit hole
Yes, come along with me!

I'm down the repost rabbit hole
Where it never ends
Down the repost rabbit hole
Finding my new friends
Down the repost rabbit hole
I'm no longer blue
Down the repost rabbit hole

My next friend is YOU!
I even have music in my mind
for this! But most people out there
would not understand it!

Would you stare at me
If I were a star in the night sky
Would you feel me
If I were the wind
Would you pick me
If I were a rose
Would you touch me
If I were snow
Would you lean on me
If I were a wall
Would you chase me
If I were a butterfly
Head
bathed in
water.

The crowd
looks on
with joy
and acceptance.

But the
head of
the child,
the child
bathed in
water
is confused.

With a lack
of understanding,
the child
begins to weep
in front of
the crowd.

Every
single
human being
in the crowd
chooses not
to acknowledge
this weeping
of confusion.
For they
find it to be
a common
normality
of baptism.

The lights
are bright,
the ritual
is over
the crowd
applauds.

Yet I contemplate.

Does the crowd
take 2 limbs
of skin and
cells, (which
are connected
to an even
larger body
of cells
and skin
and bones)
and move
them through
the air,
then emit a
sound only
when both
of the limbs
meet each other
in holy matrimony.

No, the question.
The question is,
why does the
crowd clap?

Must they reward
the confused child
for not understanding
the lines
and the curves
that form the
letters,
letters
that form the
name,
a name
of goodness
and of gold,
A name
of power
and of authority.

Jesus Christ!
It’s Jesus Christ.

Does the crowd
clap for Jesus,
or the child?

Hell, what about
both?

Here’s a theory,
maybe the
people in the
pews dressed
in their formal
gowns and
their suits
move their
hands together
to symbolize
the beginning
of the child’s
lifelong relationship
with that
golden man,
spread out upon
that lowercase t.

Every child
must need that
extra man,
that golden
man to
guide them
through the
hardships of
life, because
you know,
the human race
is too stupid
to do anything
alone.

Because God
always has to
know where
his kids are.

So they do
not sin.

You can’t
break the
rules.
Or else
you my
as well be
dead when
you die.

Because when
your sinful life
is over, you
go to hell.
and live
out your
life-after-life
burning.

Yet is this hell
true?

While writing
these words,
I am alive.
I live in
on earth,
in America,
oh God,
America.

The America
that is yours,
God.

You’ve won!
You see, these people
listen to you,
the holy one!
You are our
parent,
our favorite
parent,
our only
parent.

For you are
the reason
for the season.
Yeah!
Merry *******
Christmas.

I’d just like
to thank you
for making me
both rich and
white.

It looks
pretty cloudy
outside. It
might start
raining, raining
Bibles from the
sky.

I hope one
does not hit
me.

I see adults
waiting outside
with their wicker
baskets.
Waiting to grab
as many copies
of the holy
book from
the bookstore
in the sky
called heaven.

So rain! Rain
from the heavens!

Let your children
of earth
use their brains
to eat
the body
and drink the
blood of
Christ.

Pick up the
Bibles that
have fallen,
pick them up
like picking
the vegetables
from a
garden.

Put them in
your wicker
baskets
and take them
take them
to the next
generation.

To the confused
child, freshly
washed like
a vegetable.
Never teach
him to open
his eyes.

So he’ll
never see
that Satan
fell from
the sky
too.

Currency of the cacophonous conumdrum carried onward in carnivals of catatonic cherubims trading virtual cadence for confidence and compliments.
To be read in your meanest rapper tone, ha
He's broken, He's a mess, He's got habits that I yearn to detest.
He's no good, He make poor choices, He failed to hear the voices,
to keep him in line, and in check, to keep him from things that he'd regret.

He's arrogant, he's rude, he's guilt tripping and shrewd.
He smokes and says "He's trying to stop" knowing he could flop,
knowing It would hurt me with every truth he spoke,
I couldn't bear to hear him as he said "Yeah I smoked.."

I gave him lots of chances, as he said he got better,
but his mistakes burned into me, just like hot embers.

He won't leave me alone, even when I ask,
I ask my self, "why is he such a task"
He says he cares, but he fails to see,
the endless amounts of stress he puts on me.

Guilt trips is what he does with unrest,
What is he doing, is this some kind of test?
I'm trying my hardest to see this through,
He says girls like me, are only a few.
He tells me, I made him brand new.

---

She's golden, She's pure, she cares about me and all that I do,
It was her, in which she helped change my view.
But strong I was not, and I soon faltered, Bad habits picked up and her love for me altered.
She's loving, and harsh, did I mention she was most caring?
the way I hurt her was most overbearing,

I tried my hardest , but I would soon be tearing,
our ties in which we held so dear , she's all I care about,
I love her indefinitely, without a doubt.

She forgave me many times but weak I am,
living with regrets, she was the only one who gave a ****.

I slowly gotten better, but that to was slowed down,
as all I ever did, was made her frown.

I won't give up as I tell her each day,
"I'm sorry It was a mistake, please I want you to stay"
Her words cut like knives, as I was soon deprived,
of the one thing I so longed to keep.

She's one of a kind, a really rare lady,
I went to her when I was in need of safety.

She was not afraid to tell me straight up,
that it was bad habits and friends, that I needed to give up.

I continue to work towards gaining her back,
for it was my heart in which she hijacked.

After this poem I'm done for sure,
Because losing you was the cure.

The cure I needed, to finally give it up all those mistakes,
For your absence was enough for me to awake.

I long to hear you voice
So I will prove to you on my choice,
To finally be the person you deserve.

"Yeah..."

*"Yeah..."
The "Yeah" at the end was our special saying.
I could play the background
I could play the background
Cause I know sometimes I get in the way
So won't You take the lead, lead, lead?
So won't You take the lead, lead, lead?
And I could play the background, background
And you could take the lead

It's evident you run the show, so let me back down
You take the leading role, and I'll play the background
I know I miss my cues, know I forget my lines
I'm sticking to your script, and I'm reading all your signs
I don't need my name in lights, I don't need a starring role
Why gain the whole wide world, If I'm just going lose my soul
And my ways ain't pure if I don't live according to Your Word
I can't endure this life without Your wisdom being heard
So word, to every dancer for a pop star
'Cause we all play the background, but mine's a rockstar
Yeah, so if you need me I'll be stage right
Praying the whole world will start embracing stage fright
So let me fall back, stop giving my suggestions
'Cause when I follow my obsessions, I end up confessing
That I'm not that impressive, matter of fact I'm who I are,
A trail of stardust leading to the superstar

I could play the background
I could play the background
Cause I know sometimes I get in the way
So won't You take the lead, lead, lead?
So won't You take the lead, lead, lead?
And I could play the background, background
And you could take the* lead

I had a dream that I was captain of my *
soul
I was master of my fate, lost control, and then I sank
So I don't want to take the lead, 'cause I'm prone to make mistakes
All these folks who follow me, gon' end up in the wrong place
So let me just shadow you, let me trace your lines
Matter of fact, just take my pen, here, you create my rhymes
'Cause if I do this by myself, I'm scared that I'll succeed
And no longer trust in You, 'cause I only trust in me
And see, that's how you end up headed to destruction
Paving a road to nowhere, pour your life out for nothing
You pulled my card, I'm bluffing, You know what's in my hand
Me, I just roll and trust you, You cause the dice to land
I'm in control of nothing, follow you at any cost
Some call it sovereign will, all I know is you the boss
Man, I'm so at ease, I'm so content
I'll play the background, like it's an instrument

I could play the* background
I could play the *
background
Cause I know sometimes I get in the way
So won't You take the lead, lead, lead?
So won't You take the lead, lead, lead?
And I could play the background, background
And you could take the lead

I know I'm safest when I'm in Your will, and trust Your Word
I know I'm dangerous when I trust myself, my vision blurred
And I ain't got no time to play life's foolish games
Got plenty aims, but do they really glorify Your name
And it's a shame, the way I want to do these things for You, yeah
Don't even cling to you, take time to sit and glean from You
It seems You were patient in my ignorance
If ignorance is bliss, it's 'cause she never heard of this

I could play the background
I could play the background
Cause I know sometimes I get in the way
So won't You take the lead, lead, lead?
So won't You take the lead, lead, lead?
And I could play the background, background
And you could take the lead

I could play the background
I could play the background
Cause I know sometimes I get in the way
So won't You take the lead, lead, lead?
So won't You take the lead, lead, lead?
And I could play the background, background
And you could take the **lead.
I just love this song....it really means a lot to me.

Hell is
staring in your eyes and instantly missing you
Hell is
looking at your lips and wanting to kiss you
Hell is
holding you closely and having to let go
Hell is
wanting to tell you but never letting you know
Hell is
butterflies in my stomach when your hands brush against mine
Hell is
wanting to hold them for the rest of time
Hell is
knowing that someday I'll have to let go
Hell is
constantly having to put on a show
Hell is
the hurt I feel deep in my bones
Hell is
loving you in my sleep and waking up alone.
