i like pink

soft as a baby
delicate and precious
smiles so warm like the setting sun
a rose in a thorny garden

i like yellow

oh how fun are their quirks
a mix and match of many things
oh the joy yellow brings
a symphony in my ears when they sing

i like blue

like the oceans and the seas
a calm sky and deep tones
calm and mysterious
endless tranquility and ferocity that sets the skin on flames

i like pink yellow and blue
i like all the colors
i like all the hues

i like pink yellow and blue
how about you?
Desired Dreamer Mar 2020
It was your words
I missed the most,
mesmerizing and delight
in early September morning,
spilling from fragrant,
pink petals like dew
in late summer,
every conversation
an undreamt dream
warm and wonderful.

Sovereign, star-flower,
Sorcerer-painter.
Essence
of pink Skittles
and air incised by blue-lightning.
My lady hums fire between lines in lips
-- smoke
and perfume watermelon.
Inspired by a stranger at the library who seemed to have fallen for a woman like a sunflower who liked Skittles.

A baby's face, in bows & lace
The blush of widened eye
The muzzle of a unicorn
The rainbows in a sigh.
The shining pearl within a conch
The place where virgins lie.

The bubbles blown by teenagers
The hearts on sleeves of same
The subtle hue of lipstick
With which they spell your name
Shirley's locks & lollipops
To them love's all a game!

Fluff & play! Valentine's Day!
Roses in her cheeks
The colour of amoré
If she lets you take a peek!

Chocolate covered cherries
In a golden foil box
The colour of a diary
Closed & sealed with locks.
The colour of a fantasy
Gold & pearl clocks.

What a warmth this hue elicits!
More charming than you'd think
Innocent... explicit

The exquisite color... PINK!
Just in time for Valentine's Day! Ok, it's a month away, but who cares!

In mental compartment of mind
a delicate balance must be found.
Boxes of memories are stacked
careful not to tip them
Careful to stack into their
color coded container.

Red for past pain
Blue for sadness that forsaken me
Green for money had lost and had again.
Purple for people who come and go.
Yellow for happy thoughts to fly in mind.
Orange for moments of change needing to accept.
Pink for memories of play with inner child.
Indigo for dreams seeded for future.

A mental compartment in mind, I carry.
And sometimes they tumble only for me
to re examine, cry,
and make a rainbow.
Inspired by Temporal Fugue-a fine poet

When I see RED a-top of rainbow, I think of the promise made to self of moving with beating heart inside my own divinity.

As I look at ORANGE, streaming cross sky
I think about being optimistic, as I move
to celebrate day.

When I gaze at the YELLOW that mirrors sun, I feel energized and warm from singing birds who whisper compassion.

As I see GREEN, deeply I breath to find open field of dreams ready for harvested inside the magic of moment.

When I observe BLUE, before eyes my consciousness expands to move as if sky is a dance floor and I am graceful cloud.

As I see PURPLE, a beautiful flower opens, and I become bee singing with love inside natures music.

And when PINK in child-like mind, is visualized choose to echo gratitude for the gift of life.
saw some you tubes of color and this poem sprouted. :)

love letters
piling up in my brain
doodled little hearts
making a chain
staring at you
pretty pink lips
soft to the touch
at my fingertips
hands running through
silky soft hair
pretty eyes sparkle
so do mine when you're there
a pink envelope
filled with pretty words
sweet velvety memories
so very gently blurred
writing love letters
wearing big sweaters
thinking
of you
an old draft i just finished.

you are like the
pink sky to me,

followed by darkness
once you leave.
