Pause
One beat
Two beats
Three beats
Four

I’m empty
I’m bleeding
I’m carnal
I’m sore

Five beats
Six beats
Seven beats
Eight

My sins
Can’t win
But I’m already late
Sometimes I wish I could just put all of my feelings on pause.

It was
more than
just a shared
bench
when
time
paused

O' young one.
How long has it been,
since you last knew
the colour of the sky,
the smell of freshly-cut grass,
the sound of laughter,
the touch of another,
the feeling of warmth,
and being alive?

When was the last time
you said,
"I love you."
and meant it?
Felt happy,
and genuinely felt it?
How long...
Are you going to continue living this way?
How long until you decay?

There is another way,
just take it day by day...
Sometimes we get so caught up in our own lives that we forget to stop and appreciate the little things in life. Sometimes, it's the small, simple things in life which bring us bliss.

Surrendering to the quietness
Of the soul beneath
Dancing to the steps
Naturally taken aback
Go with the flow
Don't look back.
The racing mind and me
jumps off a cliff
doesn't stop
It's racing to win the race.
A race which takes us to nowhere
To many unanswered queries
Why mind?
What are you racing for.
Relax, have a drink!
And learn to enjoy
The beauty in every pause
You and I take for God sake.
A racing mind always in a hurry
Missing out the beauty.
I get exhausted but again deep breathing helps.

Every step is the canvas beneath our feet,
                                            when we pause,
                               we look back.
Seeing the picture
that hasn't fully been concluded.

And again we brush our feet on the earth,
                             hoping to finish that day
with either an enjoyable colour of our motions
or a master piece of remembering,
that will hang in our minds for a lifetime.
we do not choose what we believe
we must believe in who we are
our lives begin and end with truth
how bright the light
how true the star
the further from the heart we drift
the less we know the soul
to the wind our thoughts will sift
our dreams just fragments
never whole
we do not choose what we believe
we must believe in who we are
take a pause and take a look
before you walk too far

The sweet release
I bid to rise
It will not please
To me, I call the time
I pause.
The sweet silence
Oh how I pray for more.
Why must all this violence
**** those in all their core?
I bid to thee,
"Why can't I flee
to see the mournful sky?"
I pause.
His silence kills me slowly,
Small breaths and simple sighs
I try my best
to just know why.

The carriage falls,
I've fallen ill.
My mother calls,
But to him I will.
I weep and whimper
"Save me please!"
But his laughs escape
And kills me under.
The sweet release
Oh how I pray for more.
This is something I wrote this week, I ended up adding more while writing the poem originally; still kind of rusty though.

Ahh, who pressed the button?
Here, My dance stopped.

Plz, Play it again.
Theme: Pause is a vacant moment of anticipation, it freezes time. Not moving in either direction. Pause makes sense only if it is re-pressed or it’s companions are pressed. Nothing stay paused too long.  Play followed by Pause gets smoothing connection, the beats where stopped are continued. Stop followed by Pause is a pack-up sign. Either Rewind or Fast forward followed by Pause is a potential dynamic pace to resume, anytime.
