Staring at the water
That sparkled, black
Far enough away that I knew
It matched that sparkle you held in your eyes
The one you held from other people
The one that needed hours and hours
Of seemingly pointless conversations
Of my tired serenades
Of laughing arguments and long messages
Of silences that bettered us
We were so high up, see
The wind didn't even reach us
On the balcony of the building
You know you can't afford to live in
We stood in silence
Admiring the feeling
Of being overcome by wonder
Overcome by patience
And overcome by comfort
Over black, sparkling water.

If you were nineteen acts of my Broadway classic,

I would pause time to watch you make me proud,

And scribble poems on backstage passes,

On a different day, In a different crowd.


But When the notes are changing now,

On grand pianos of mice and men,

You’d still find me writing another verse,

On a different day, With a different pen.


Yet Beware the ides of march they say,

Even as they feast on your incredible smile,

But beyond the journeys of lost tenses

There will always remain another mile.

Another day passes
only this time,
with rain.
Just a few more days
and my eyes will meet yours...

Because nothing in the world can ever replace the love I have for you
Even when your seventy

I promise to wait until you are ready
Ready to give the keys to your heart once more
That even if it'll take the time to find a cure for cancer,

But with all these that I've promised, there is only one thing I ask from you:

Promise me that you will remain even if time and distance permits us to come short and lack

For I've already promised one thing before all these

And that is to take the risk of loving you

just to see a smile on your face
Because isn't that what love is

So you asked me for one thing
to be patient
oh how it would be easier to climb a mountain
patience is key
but patience is not something I have the key to

I will do my best to be what you need me to be
please just remember
I am human too
I make mistakes
that sometimes hurt you

i realized that it's okay
to have off days
where the light switch doesn't always work
where your bed feels more like a coffin
and you really wouldn't mind
not waking up in the morning
but you will turn on again
you will learn to get out of bed
and take out the trash bags under your eyes
you will learn to start over
and realize
the sun will still be on your side
like he has always been
and you will open up the blinds
and finally let him in
